Location, Location,Location.

Loved this condo. We are renting it again next year. Location was great. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Only downside was (is), it could use a deep clean. It was not dirty by any means, but the base boards, the doors, the area rugs and windows could use a cleaning.

We were very pleased with our stay. The condo was clean, modern with all amenities we required and convenient walking distance to the beach. The pool was a pleasure to enjoy as well. Each evening we enjoyed dinner on the balcony and we also spotted the occasional dolphin while sitting outside. Any questions we had about the condo were answered within a very short period of time. Thanks for a great vacation.

Our trip here was great! The condo is very spacious with beautiful views of the harbor. The public beach is a quick walk down the block and across the street with the ability to rent umbrellas and chairs there- no need to carry a bunch of gear. Many restaurants and bars are within walking distance as well, making it easy to find some place to eat without having to drive and pay for parking. We appreciated the full size washer and dryer in the unit as well as dishwasher and kitchen stocked with dishes and cookware. The only downside was the pool, which is quite small and was very crowded. However, the proximity of the beach made up for the pool.

The place is nice and my family is enjoying the stay in spite of the rain. The location is nice and convenient to many activities. I suggest a checkup on the cleaning service. The shower curtain is in very bad shape and mildewed. We replaced the broken shower head. I would have thought the cleaning service would have taken the effort to notify the owners. The pool and hot tub are closed at 830 in the evening. It would be nice to enjoy the hot tub later in the evening or earlier in the morning. Again, the place is nice and well kept. I would certainly return again if i knew some of the above were addressed.

A group of 6 adults stayed here for 10 days in January. We really enjoyed the convenient location to so many amenities, including the beautiful Clearwater Beach, just across the road. The location allowed us to do many day trips, both north (to Honeymoon Island State Park and Dunedin) and south (to St. Pete’s Beach and Fort De Soto State Park). The accommodation as a whole was great – the unit is very spacious and allowed us a lot of room for moving about, playing some games in the evenings and having several meals “at home” around the spacious dining table. We experienced record breaking cool temps while we were there so we didn’t enjoy the deck as much as we would like to have done, but thankfully the furnace kept us reasonably warm inside and we could still watch the pelicans diving for birds in the marina which never got old. We were disappointed to find there was no BBQ at all on the premises. This is rather odd for a locale where BBQ’s could be used 12 months of the year and forced us to grill/fry our meat inside for the few meals we did eat in. Because of this, we could have used better kitchen ware, something with a non-stick bottom would have been appreciated. We used the hot tub/pool a lot but it closed at dusk, which at this time of year was 6 p.m. in the evening! We thought this was a bit stingy since the best time for a hot tub, in my opinion, is right before bed. The condo unit has beach chairs, a beach umbrella and even a little sunshade. This was really appreciated and was used on more than one occasion. We all thought that was a nice touch. However, while we were told in advance that we would have to provide our own soap, toilet paper, garbage bags, after the initial start up set was diminished (a weeny bar of soap that hardly soaped a normal sized body!), the inconvenience of this was annoying and aggravating. Between the 6 of us, we have travelled a fair amount worldwide and two of the couples also rent out properties themselves on rental sites. We have never experienced this before and we all thought it was weird. What would it cost to provide soap/toilet paper/garbage bags and make the guests’ experience that much easier and more convenient? My husband and I took the room with the twin beds. I think they were anticipating children in there or perhaps incontinent adults as the beds were covered in plastic mattress covers. They made the most annoying crinkling sound every time one moved and were quite hot to sleep on. Yes, I could have taken them off – it just seemed more work than what it was worth when I was on vacation. There was a problem with a very loud squealing shower but I sent that maintenance alert on to the rental managers and I am assuming that has been looked after. They were quick to respond to any of our inquiries and e-mails. We enjoyed Cooters bar a couple of times behind the Walgreen’s, at the roundabout. They had an awesome happy hour and great wait staff. Next door at Frenchy’s, we had the famous grouper sandwich. All these places were a nice walking distance allowing us to enjoy a few drinks and a pleasant walk home afterwards. We enjoyed our stay at Harborview Grande despite the above noted items, but the things I mentioned above would be good for others to know prior to booking. The unit is comfortable and clean and the location is great, so if you can live with the above things, then you will likely really enjoy your stay!
