ITrip (Pinellas Vacation Rentals LLC) failed to notify in advance about huge construction right next to the vacation rental (10 feet away), failed to relocate, exposed me, wife, 1 year old baby and 2 old grandmas to toxic elements and hazardous levels of noise for 2 weeks! Do not trust this company, better to stay in other places. I’m the returning customer from Maryland , stayed in this apartment 5+ times even before ITrip/Vrbo took over. I return to this specific location for peace, quiet and almost private beach, many times overlooked shortcomings of the apartment. Although this time was drastically different and I feel like we got scammed. In the beginning of summer I decided to book this place for 2 weeks instead of 1, booked and paid for it as many times before nothing out of ordinary, around 10 days before my check in (8.14.2025) I received emails from ITrip Pinellas Vacation Rentals LLC with all the instructions, there was a little note “There is work being done on the building that may result in noise from time to time. Work is expected to be finished by the middle to the end of June.” I didn’t think much of it, knowing that small work was always done on the building on other units when we stayed there and my vacation starts at the 8.23.2025 … Upon our arrival with 1 year old baby, wife and 2 old grandmas to the apartment I saw full blown construction of the four-story apartment building right next (10 feet away) to the apartment we rented. On Monday we experienced full beauty of that construction, starting before 7am and ending past 4pm. We got exposed to hazardous levels of noise from constant banging of metal stands, grinding concrete, drills, gas saw, hammers, crane, machinery backing up, concrete mixer truck. Because of that noise it was impossible to sit outside on the balcony, ears were hurting and noise causing headaches. We also experienced hazardous and toxic concrete dust from concrete grinding on construction. Dust was everywhere on the balcony and even on the beach, outside was grey because of it, looked like there was a fog outside on the bright sunny day! All of the floor on the balcony and furniture was covered in concrete dust. Several times concrete mixer truck arrived and stayed there for hours spewing diesel exhaust right towards our bedroom window to the point that we smelled it inside. Every single day machines loader/lifter also provided us with plenty of diesel exhaust fumes. Same goes for the crane that stayed there 1 week. Many times workers would park their pickup trucks running for a very long time right in front of the balcony. In the past we would just leave apartment, crossed the gate and were immediately at the beach and that’s where we lay, this time we would have to walk far away just to lower the construction noise, nevertheless we would hear constant banging, grinding, loud machinery instead of sound of crashing waves. My baby kept waking up and couldn’t sleep and rest normally because of the construction noise, became very agitated and upset during stay. Construction had no net separating it from our apartment. Out of 14 days we had 3 days of peace and quiet. Reached out immediately to ITrip Pinellas Vacation Rentals LLC about this issue just to get reply that they don’t have places to relocate us and offered tickets to local attractions (we had free tickets included with booking), after that email they stopped responding at all. I’ve emailed to them several times all the outside issues and internal cleanliness issues just to hear nothing in response. I would expect better customer service for returning customer who spent thousands to stay there. Once again booking listing online had no mentioning of the huge construction 10 feet away when I booked the apartment , as well as there was no communication about it before my arrival. After my and neighbors across the wall complain about this huge construction ITrip added a note to a website listing about it. I have saved evidence of listing before and after. Per communication with a person that lives on the site he notified me that construction has been on going for around 3 months! Neighbors across the wall raised the same concerns and were also ghosted by the vacation rental company. Now honest review of the apartment itself. Every single time I stay there I had lots of cleanliness issues, for the price they charge for this place it should be spotless like a hotel room. Don’t forget that you loose half of vacation day because they “clean” from 10 am to 4 pm. 6 hours is plenty of time especially if the I am asked to clean after myself when I leave, I personally do half of their work! Here are some issues: Dirt and mold on shower curtains in both bathrooms. Bathroom rugs very dirty. Bathroom white towels had stains on them. Black and red spots (probably mold) on the master shower ceiling. White doors and door frames show signs of fingerprints. - [ ] AC ceiling vents have black spots on the
