This home is a quick drive to multiple access points, including the Oregon dunes, beaches, rivers, and lighthouses. Reedsport traverses a tangled confluence of three rivers that’s surrounded by verdant forests and wildlife. It’s a true Oregon Coast crossroads, for more reasons than one. Reedsport strives to carry on the rugged Oregon spirit and a meeting place of cultures within its ancient forested setting. Reedsport began as a camp for the people who built the Southern Pacific Railroad track to Coos Bay. In the years since then, it’s served as a hub for the Oregon Dunes region. Chainsaw-carved wood sculptures and painted totem poles are all over town, and the Umpqua Discovery Center has exhibits on the region's natural and cultural history. Outside of town, Dean Creek has covered vantage points to see the year-round population of Roosevelt Elk that live there. Bike trails - Whiskey Run Trails are for everyone, from double diamonds to Just starting out. Loon Lake is a popular recreation area 20 miles east of Reedsport, The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing and water skiing. The Umpqua River Loop is a stretch of the Umpqua River that is approximately 18 miles long. It is home to some of the best fishing opportunities you may find anywhere in the Northwest and the scenery is breathtaking.
Parking for two cars. No Motorhomes or camping trailers permitted.
