Marsh Mellow is a perfect waterfront BHI vacation home for those who enjoy the outdoors and relaxing with family and friends. Located on pristine Bald Head Creek and Salt Marsh Sanctuary, with a dock right out the door, you have easy access to the water for kayaking, fishing, SUP, and bird watching. The only hard part is deciding if you should go to the beach, go kayaking or hit the BHI club for a quick bite and swim in the new water park, maybe everything! Driving around the island will be a breeze also with 2, 4 passenger carts, enough room for all!

You don’t have to leave the property to have fun. Marsh Mellow is part of the Timbercreek development with a saltwater pool within easy walking distance. You can also fish off the large dock or just relax on the porch and enjoy the beautiful views overlooking Bald Head Creek, you have so many options at Marsh Mellow.

Fresh linens and towels are included in the cleaning fee.

*Beds are all made with clean linens upon your arrival.

LAYOUT: Walk up the steps & Marsh Mellow is the bottom unit (there is another unit on top of it). Open the door & when you walk to the right there will be the kitchen, then the living area with the screened in porch. Bedroom 3 will be on the left when you walk in, then bedroom 2 with bathroom across the hall on right. Then at the end of the hall is bedroom 1. The screened in porch that leads out of the master also connects to another door in the dining room. Under the unit is a carport area where the grill, golf carts, & other items are. On the back of the building closest to the marsh is where the kayaks are kept. Watch the virtual tour to walk through the property online.

Keep in mind there are new rules regarding what days you can attend the club and what activities guest members can use. Contact the club directly or go on their sites for any questions. We do not control club rates, rules, or restrictions. No discount or refund will be provided if club membership is restricted or denied.

**Community pool is seasonal and opens/closes as weather permits. There is no refunds if pool is closed for any reason.

**Maximum Occupancy: 8 Occupants - Children must be counted within the maximum occupancy unless they are under the age of two (2) and are sleeping in a crib.

**Tenant Requirements: Tenant stated on the Agreement/Booking must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age, and acknowledge that they will occupy the Property during the entire tenancy.***

iTrip NC Beaches Cancellation Policy

North Carolina Beaches

Cancellation 60 days or more before your stay will receive a refund less the cancellation fee of $350. Cancellation 60 days or less before your stay will not receive a refund unless the same dates are re-booked. If that occurs you will receive a refund less the cancellation fee of $350. Additional details with regards to cancellation policies and procedures may be found in Section #15 of the Rental Agreement as provided at checkout.

This Timbercreek condo was perfect for our Christmas vacation on beautiful Bald Head Island. It was our first time staying overlooking the marsh and it did not disappoint! The decor is quite tasteful,beds comfy, and the screen porch with this lovely view will keep us coming back for more. The kitchen will need a refresh one day but was nicely designed and met our needs. Just a couple of suggestions: Better outside lighting for stairs and blinds in the master need to operate more efficiently. The management company was very responsive and helpful with general questions. We look forward returning to Marsh Mellow in the near future!

Great location, responsive mgmt, easy-to-follow instructions, VERY comfy space. The ONLY not-perfect part was that the rental could’ve been a little bit cleaner: the sofas and cushions on the porch furniture could use a cleaning.

We had the best family vacation at BHI staying at Marsh Mellow. There was a beautiful view of the marsh, a great breeze, and easy access to the docks. The house was fully stocked, clean and updated. We were impressed by the folks at iTrip for being so accessible and communicative — and so easy via text! Our stay at Marshmellow was perfect in every way. This unit has one of the best views of the spectacular marsh and creek side of Bald Head. The unit is comfortable and the porch is perfect for morning coffee, afternoon drinks and dinner. The pool is divine after a day at one of the many close by beaches. Marsh Mellow was very cozy, clean and comfortable. Sunrise views on the Marsh were incredible. It was so nice to enjoy a stroll along the sea wall boardwalk and kayak on the marsh. Our June stay @ Marsh Mellow was great. As was our experience (first I believe) with iTrip. When we needed assistance for our check in code, they were very responsive. Upon arrival (we were able to check in early FYI), we found a clean, cooled and comfortable condo looking at the Bald Head Island marsh. After more than a decade of visiting Bald Head, we recommend the marsh for the views and value. The property was comfortable and had all we needed during our stay. We took advantage of the two carts, the charcoal BBQ, the kayaks (in the marsh) and lastly, the beach chairs! Sounds like a small deal but having legit, Tommy Bahama beach chairs was a great benefit and one we hadn't experienced before. There was construction outside our condo as they redo the marsh retaining wall and walkway but that was just bad timing. Once it is finished, the development will be even better for it. Can't think of anything else - was just another great visit to the island.

We stayed here in October for a wedding. It is only our second time using an Airbnb. The location is great, but the couch in the living room was extremely soiled, and there was a strange greasy-looking spot on our bedspread and a weird red spot on one of the towels. When you pay this kind of money, over $500 per night In the off-season, you don’t really expect to run into things like this. We were only there for three nights, so I didn’t reach out to the host directly, frankly we just didn’t use the towel and turned over the bedspread. The couches we couldn’t really do anything about. I know this is an Airbnb thing, but you practically feel like you have to clean the unit before you leave, which we did. But they still charge you a huge amount for cleaning. That has nothing to do with the host, I think it’s standard with Airbnb. We did enjoy the view from the patio and have fun staying in the same unit as our kids.

We get deep cleans after every season after summer which we go ahead and deep clean couches as well. Our inspector went in to examine all of these areas you have mentioned and there were no issues. If you had reached out to us though, we would have sent someone by to spot clean the couch, bring a new bedspread, and a new towel without question. It is extremely disappointing that you would publicly make false claims about us online without even reaching out to us first. We can be very accommodating and we take pride in our excellent customer care. Please keep this is mind for the sake of other local family business as well when you book in the future.

We think we hit our favorite rental property ever in MarshMellow. Located on the marsh with incredible views of the water and spartina, the unit is as described and then some. The kitchen has everything you'll ever need, there is more than enough beach equipment, and the kayaks are top-notch. Had a wonderful time visiting one of our family favorite vacation spots. We had our 8 year old granddaughter and 14 month grandson. Lots of beaching, swimming, shopping, crabbing and beach walks. The ferry rides on and off the island are just part of the fun. Golf carting everywhere while leaving the car on the mainland is just one of the charming things about this special place. Amazing trip to Bald Head! Everything was exactly as pictured. The covered porch was a dream and definitely the #1 reason to stay at Marsh Mellow! The water views of the marsh from the porch were more expansive than most ocean views on Bald Head. The kids had a blast fishing and crabbing from the dock just below the covered porch. Visited in mid-May and no bugs to speak of. The space and furniture was clean and well-kept.

I was supposed to relax and sleep in during my vacation, but the sunrises wouldn’t allow it! They’re simply stunning and drench the living room every morning with a healthy glow of the day ahead. The condo is very well-appointed. The kitchen has everything you will need to cook a good meal and there were some fun surprise beach games in the garage we were not expecting—cornhole, paddle games, and boogie boards. I couldn’t count the amount of beach towels! The lightweight kayaks and nearby docks made a day of kayaking effortless. The water heats up quickly for showers and dishes and the towels were soft. We mostly used the 6-seat golf cart which seemed newer and gave us the extra storage for beach days. There is a tree behind the carport area that may difficult to navigate if you’re not used to driving a golf cart. We had an issue with our upstairs neighbors who were going into our garage and taking our amenities, and the iTrip personnel took care of it immediately. ITrip also quickly got back to me when I questions about the golf cart and finding a corkscrew. Now for the birds… There are a ridiculous amount of sea birds in the marsh and watching them was heavenly. Across the street I heard the calls of the painted bunting, a bucket list bird, and finally saw it a few days after arrival. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is one of my favorite places to stay on the island. The location is perfect, close to everything, and the property was very clean and well equipped. My family and I stayed in Timbercreek 12B on Bald Head Island the week of 7/4/21 to 7/11/21. We greatly enjoyed our stay. We were impressed with how clean the unit was overall and was just like it was advertised. The reality matched the pictures online. Great condo with wonderful marsh views! We all enjoyed our stay! Location on bhi can’t be beat, especially if you enjoy kayaking or paddle boarding—which we did! Dock is steps from the condo! Unfortunately we could only use the double kayak because other kayaks weren’t usable. Loved the screened in porch and used it every morning to watch birds and wildlife! (Only suggestion to owner would be to put a plastic sheathing on screened porch ceiling so sand from top condo occupants isn’t a problem.). Really enjoyed our time! Thank you for the opportunity!

This was our first trip to BHI and it didn't disappoint. The condo had everything we needed as a family of 5. It was clean, had enough kitchen supplies, and the golf carts worked well. Had a slight issue with the kayaks that I'm not sure how it got resolved but it didn't take away from the overall experience. The management company was very responsive to every question we had. It was also really fun to have direct access to the dock for fishing and crabbing with the kids.

This whole island is unique because of its remoteness. But more than that, the islanders are kind, the stores tiny and cute, and the golf carts super fun. This house was perfect- small, cute, and not so fancy you were scared to touch anything. The view was magnificent, and the kayaking great! Thank you so much for a wonderful place to stay.

Bald Head never disappoints! The condo was great - nicely decorated and beautiful view. It was very clean upon our arrival. The only negative about the condo itself was the carpet in bedrooms which needs to be cleaned or replaced due to stains. This unit sits right on the water (some of the units are further back) so it has a beautiful sunrise and sunset view with the sun reflecting on the water. It was nice that one of the carts has sides for those rainy or cold days. Thanks!

Very well appointed and clean marsh condo! Bright and open for an efficient stay. This place had everything you could need in the kitchen and plenty of towels in the bathrooms. There were reliable beach chairs, boogey boards, toys, beach towels, dish detergent and paper towels. The kayaks worked out well for an easy excursion off the boat landing.

The condo was perfect for our family. The view was absolutely amazing and we loved being able to walk on the dock! The space was excellent and we had a blast! Pros: plenty of beach gear in the garage to use, a few beach towels provided, relaxing and open floor plan was great, screened porch was wonderful. Cons: Laundry is in the garage (lots of bugs at night so you'll only want to do laundry during the daytime) and the mosquitos were really bad so you'll want to bring lots of bug spray.

We started the trip with a hurricane but ended on a great note. Management company kept us informed constantly of the hurricane conditions and came to check on us before and after. Regarding the condo: It was very well equipped with kitchen items and clean. Our family enjoyed daily the canoe and kayaks.

We loved every minute of our stay! Great place for kids and families. Well stocked, Great layout, clean, updated and perfect location. You should know that the washer/dryer is in the garage—we’ve stayed in TC several times and had never had this. I was nervous at first but it turned out to be a non-issue. It was actually a plus bc we didn’t have to bring sandy beach towels into the property! I would recommend this property and we will definitely stay again!

We have been starting our summer for many years with a week at Bald Head. I have always been pleased with the places we have stayed. Bald Head offers a certain level of quality. However Marsh Mellow takes this to a new level. EVERYTHING was new, updated, and stocked. Examples- New 6 passenger golf cart that held hours of charge complete with turn signals, horn, and rain gear. Bedding and mattresses on all beds were extremely comfortable and soft. They seemed as if they were purchased the day we arrived. New updated furniture inside and out. Fresh coats of paint brought everything together. The cabinets were stocked with spices and supplies. Plenty of extra paper towels (6 rolls), bath towels, and toilet paper. This place came with kayaks, paddles, and children size life jackets. All a must for anyone who loves to fish the marsh with the kids. I also loved the quick text responses from iTrips. This kept me up to date and made me feel like they were always there if needed. Overall 5 stars. Will book again.

We enjoyed our stay at Marsh Mellow on BHI very much! The new owners are off to a great start in renovations. The home was bright and clean and the location right in front of the Timbercreek dock was perfect for us since we always take our boat for fishing. The negatives were minor things.... carpet in bedrooms, old golf carts that we needed to clean, and the washer and dryer were in the garage. Also, we did not realize the BHI club membership was an additional purchase and there was confusion about that. However, I wouldnt hesitate to rent this lovely unit again .

My family of 6 enjoyed a relaxing and rejuvenating visit to Bald Head Island and our stay at Marsh Mellow could not have been better. It's clear the owners have taken great care of the property keeping it up to date, clean and inviting - we felt completely at home. ____The house was plenty roomy for 4 adults and two kids with each of the bedrooms having a modern coastal charm to them. The views of the marsh off the back deck were stunning and made a perfect setting to watch the sun rise each morning and unwind at night. The kids really enjoyed all of the water activities literally right outside the door - fishing on the dock, kayaking
