Relax at home with family, friends and even your furry canine companions, or take a quick stroll to the main part of downtown and/or jump on the bus for a free ride to the base area of the mtn and the Steamboat resort. In the summer time you are a short walk away from the Saturday Farmer’s Market where you can shop local and eat delicious food from local restaurants.

The beautifully updated single family home has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large private deck with a fenced in back yard. Its a great place to hang out and even let your dog out from the living area and play fetch in the backyard with ease.

The bungalow itself features a spacious open living area. Sit back on ample comfy seating and watch your favorite movie or show on the large flat screen TV. The gorgeous, large dining table can accommodate up to 8 and is great for a meal, playing cards or board games. The kitchen is conveniently located right off the dining area and has been beautifully updated with butcher counters, stainless steel appliances, and is equipped with everything you need to cook your favorite meal.

On the main level and off the living area is the first bedroom. It features a queen bed and full sleeper sofa. It has a flat screen TV and provides a second living area with extra space and perfect to watch movies and play games. Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.

Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.

Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.

** In March 2020 when the resort shut down, we gave refunds for any unused nights and would do that again.

Reviews

Spacious house, with awesome fenced in backyard and great location.
4/5 stars
We loved they layout of this house, it was very spacious and a perfect size for 4 adults, 2 young kids and a dog. We spent most of our time outside in the fenced in back yard, which we loved. I was worried about no A/C, but the sign on the wall on tips to keep the house cool really helped. No issues with being too hot, even when temp outside reached mid 80's. Kitchen was well stocked but deducting a star because a lot of items in kitchen drawers and cabinets had to be rewashed. Kitchen could probably use a deep clean. A short walk to downtown was a huge plus! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Cute house in good location
5/5 stars
We enjoyed our stay at the blue house! The layout was convenient, it had all the things we needed (including a locking shed for our bikes) and if we actually still had our dog, it would have been a perfect spot for her to hang out. The house is convenient to downtown and to all the fun to be had up Strawberry Park/Buff Pass/Spring Creek, which was great. The only thing I didn't like was feeling guilty that this house, located within view of Soda Creek Elementary, is in the short-term rental pool instead of being lived in by a local family.

Steamboat ski trip
5/5 stars
The bungalow was great for our multi-generation family trip. Plenty of space to Spread out and gather. The kitchen is very well appointed. Fenced yard and nearby dog walking trail made it fun for our pet too! Management was very responsive and polite. Short walk to downtown and quick drive to ski area. The info book came in very handy for recs on dining and activities.

mixed place to stay, read if it'll work for you
3/5 stars
The house was fine, it had some highlights and lowlights. You can tell that the house is outfitted as a rental with nearly everything being builder grade and sparsely furnished. The highlights were nothing beyond what is described in the listing, a modest size house that is close to old town so you can walk into the city. The listing states it could host 11 people, we had 6 and it felt full. The upstairs room situation was very unique, there is a large master room, an attached room and a full bath. The attached room via glass doors is sold as a separate bedroom. But you have to be "close" to your other guest as you are separated by a glass door with blinds. So there is no sound privacy. And unless you want to walk through their room you have to come and go via the bathroom. This is very unconventional and should be explained better in the listing. In summer there is no AC, common in steamboat, but we found it difficult to cool the upstairs master at night because it is in the sun all day long and the walls get hot and you can't get a thru breeze unless you open the door to the connected room (which as described earlier you wouldn't want to do unless you were close or were fine with zero privacy). There is no shed as described in the listing. Other guests mentioned that the master bath shower drains slow, we experienced that as well. The water heater is small and will only stay warm for about 5 showers, one of our 6 people always had a cold shower. No way that you are comfortably showering 10+ people, especially in winter. One city trashcan outside which was half full when we checked in meaning we overfilled it after a few days. Kitchen had a good assortment of cooking, serving trays, plates and cutlery and the spice cabinet had a good assortment of left overs so we only had to buy oil in addition to our food, not salt and pepper etc. Checkout was simpler than most as we didn't have to do anything with the sheets. Overall I would probably stay there again but only after knowing these things about the space which were a little bit misleading in the listing. Due to the misleading listing I would be cautious as a future renter to read and be sure it will work for your group.

We’ll be back!
5/5 stars
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at old town bungalow. Very clean. Very roomy although there was just four of us. But it was perfect as we are a family of four with two adult sons. Nice fenced backyard with grass for our pooch. In the heart of old downtown but quiet. Good communication and information from manager.

Great location
5/5 stars
This house is in a nice neighborhood, close to downtown and the bike path. We especially liked the living area and the large dining table where all nine of our group could eat together.
