Welcome to the Rose of Georgetown, where the Old West meets Victorian charm. This historic home has 3 bedrooms with lots of space for you to stretch out and relax after a day of outdoor adventure like hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, and skiing. One our our favorite things is exploring Guanella Pass Scenic Byway looking for big horn sheep, moose, elk and more.

This recently updated, cozy rental will bring you back to the days when Georgetown was the world's capitol of silver mining and the town was call was often called the Silver Queen. Georgetown is a picturesque time-capsule-of-a-town that’s nestled into the mountains, just 45 miles west of Denver on Interstate 70. More than 200 Victorian-era structures still stand here — making it one of the best-preserved 19th-century boom towns in the American West. First built in 1875, this historic building had a store located on the first floor, and living quarters on the second, but then quickly became the Intercontinental Hotel. It had a number of names, through the years, but most folks remember it as the St. James Hotel or more recently as the Dusty Rose Tea Room.

Set your expectations
4/5 stars
My husband and I stayed here over a long weekend. The town was charming and 511 Rose is highly recommended for dinner! Below is a detailed review. From photos and reading other reviews, I had different expectations when I booked this house. Pros - the hosts are great at communicating including answering questions before and during our stay as well as bringing items that were forgotten (kitchen towels). They were also very accommodating (it was raining and we were allowed to check in 30 minutes early). The house had everything you needed and was stocked well: items in the kitchen, linens, hair dryer and even some basic toiletries (shampoo and conditioner). The house was affordable, especially if all the rooms were full and you could split the cost. Cons - the house is historic and no A/C has been added so it’s warm in the summer. Many of the windows don’t open (especially in the bedrooms) as they have been painted shut. In addition, the house isn’t level and there is noticeable slope in the floors and it is close to a freeway (think road noise including 18 wheelers all night long). The house wasn’t exactly clean also - lots of dust on ceiling fans (one fan didn’t work), piles of debris left on the floor, under beds and dressers don’t appear to be swept between guests, stained shower curtain and laundry left in the dryer.

The Rose Room stay
5/5 stars
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The home was clean and stocked with all the necessities and then some for an enjoyable get away. Check in and out was so easy and the location was exactly what we wanted. Within walk distance to downtown Georgetown. The pictures online are exactly what the home is like. Again, we enjoyed it so very much. Lots of room for everyone! For future trips I will search for properties by this owner.

The rose was wonderful!!
5/5 stars
I would give this house a 4.8 out of 5 stars. Called Bryan and they let us in a few hours early which allowed us to not loose a day of vacation!! It was everything they said. We had 6 adults stay very comfortably in the house. The only issue was the fridge did not get our food cold for the first day or so. I think they may have just plugged it in the day we got there but none of our food was spoiled so all was good. It was a great location : we drove to Dotsero to do a tube float down the Colorado River and that was our longest drive 1.5 hours, drove to Golden for the day and also did a couple of local hikes right there within 5 miles of Georgetown. We would definitely rent from Itrip/Bryan again. Thank you

Back in time- Old School good
5/5 stars
The Rose is a second floor apartment that is steps from a very quaint small-town "main street". The location was perfect for us, as we had a very active week of hiking, attending a concert at Red Rocks, sunset at Guanella Pass, riding the famous Loop train, mine tour, etc. We loved the town and got to meet many of the business owners. The apartment itself was great, very comfortable, great for hanging out. It has a very large room that includes a terrific sitting area, and a big wooden table. It was perfect for big dinners, family games, and conversation. We had 6 adults and never felt crowded. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and it was very quiet. Great kitchen, appliances worked great, everything you need, We cooked in a lot. The only access is a flight of stairs, so that would be the only thing to consider, but we loved the overall experiences. This is a terrific choice for a family that's reconnecting or a few couples looking to hike and enjoy the amazing nature.

Cute place
3/5 stars
The Rose is nicely updated & really cool building. We loved being steps away from the shops. It was very hot while we were in Georgetown & with no a/c we would have appreciated more fans. Very few windows opened & if they did, they only opened a little bit. So even at night it was uncomfortable. We were not able to use the 3rd bedroom because it was so unbearable. I would not recommend this place in the summer

Great Place!
5/5 stars
What a great place to stay in Georgetown! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Rose of Georgetown. The cleanliness, abundance of space, and wonderful amenities made our stay even better. Centrally located in Georgetown, it was a short walk to the shops and restaurants, and very accessible to the surrounding hiking trails. What a lovely mountain town! We look forward to bringing our family for a future visit. We highly recommend The Rose of Georgetown!
