Here's the skinny! The Groovy Getaway is located near the end of a private lane with very little traffic. This modern chillaxin’ wine country getaway has been renovated to create a joyful and relaxing experience from the moment you walk in the door. Situated on three acres in the heart of Dundee’s famous Red Hills, you will find yourself nestled between two wineries and vineyards with beautiful views from every room.
As you may have noticed, the vibe is a bit retro and far out, with most everything being recently renovated or brand new throughout the super-cool layout of this mid-70’s double-split-level home. The colors are stylish and fun, and the finishing details are the perfect blend of swank and comfort. We want our guests to understand that we have a commitment of inclusion across race, gender, age, identity and experiences among all. These are important values to us and hope that our guests will embrace these as well while enjoying all The Groovy Getaway in Dundee has to offer.
One quick note, while we certainly appreciate both the furry family and younger children, this home is not pet friendly and we do caution parents with younger kiddos that some of the stairway gaps are not safe for unsupervised little ones. The red Jory soil, so renowned in this area for growing world-class wine grapes, can be tracked in and stain the surfaces even with the best intentions. The home was designed in an era when the staircases and other components were not conducive to a safe stay for younger children.
The entry level has a huge open floor plan that incorporates living, dining, and kitchen areas with a massive custom sofa, Bose sound system, “The Frame” Art TV, and an expansive deck for both indoor and outdoor dining and relaxation. One level up from the entry, you will find three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one being en-suite). On the first level down, you will find two more bedrooms, another full bath, and a newly-equipped laundry room. Each of the five bedrooms has a big, comfy king bed, champagne bucket, and private balcony, your own space -- a retreat within the retreat -- where you can read or take in the views with a bottle of wine or French press from the kitchen.
Step down one more level and you will discover the entertainment and game room, featuring a rad 8-foot custom billiards table (built in Portland), plasma screen with sound bar, 70s-era sofa, vintage coffee table and a selection of games and puzzles. Open the slider and step out to the large sheltered patio with a propane fire table facing the bocce ball and cornhole court. This fabulous property also provides a large, wood-burning fire ring and plenty of firewood. It is the perfect setting for celebrating evenings of kinship with the people you care about.
This home has plenty of space to spread out and social distance. There are multiple indoor common areas including the main room with a massive 15’ x 12’ sectional and a newly added fireplace, a dining room that seats 10, and a downstairs billiards/TV room with another large sectional. There are also three outdoor common area patios (2 covered) with great circulation, and each of the five bedrooms has its own private veranda to a escape from the group.
The 20’ x 12’ kitchen is so well equipped, any cook will be thrilled! You can have four chefs in the kitchen, with 6 foot distance between each. Take a look at the pictures that show just some of the items in the cupboards. Keep yourself safe with clever wine markers on the wine glasses, mismatched coffee cups, beer bands, different color glasses, and even color-coded marshmallow sticks.
Indeed, there is so much to enjoy here, many groups will find they don’t want to leave. But if you do, you will find multiple vineyards within walking distance, including two award winning wine makers adjoining the property, and many others a short drive away. For dining and shopping, the towns of Dundee, Newberg, and Dayton (all within 10 minutes) offer a full range of restaurants, taquerias, bakeries and coffee shops, as well as grocery options to provision the large, well-equipped kitchen at your disposal.
We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels or have more people than the 10 person maximum without written approval. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. There are also no pets allowed, no exceptions.

Frequently Asked Questions
1 Tenant agrees to leave the premises and its contents in the same condition, neat and tidy, as Tenant found the premises to be upon move-in, normal wear and tear expected.
2 All dishes are to be washed and all garbage removed from the premises and placed in outside receptacles.
3 No glitter or confetti is to be used or dispersed on the property. Failure to comply will result in extra cleaning fees of at least $300.00 at a minimum.
4 The maximum number of occupants shall not exceed the advertised number stated on the listing.
5 Furnishings are not to be removed from the premises for use outside or in other properties.
6 If Pets are allowed on Property a $100 per pet fee is required. Let us know if you will be bringing pets so we can send a $100 request per pet. Please pick up after your pets. If feces are left behind an extra charge of $50 applied clean up. If it is marked as "No pets" this policy must be observed and pets are not allowed on premises.
7 Smoking is not allowed in the unit. $500 fine if evidence of smoking is found in the unit.
8 Reservations are not made by or for a minor, defined as any person under the age of twenty-five (25).
9 Tenant and any guest of Tenant shall obey all laws of the state the rental vacation rental property resides in, as well as local laws, at all times while they are on the premises. Failure to abide by the laws of the state or the above rules may cause tenant to be asked to vacate the premises and forfeit all rents and security/damage deposits.
10 There shall be no noise that can be heard outside the home between the hours of 10pm - 7am. If noise is an issue, you will get a written warning text message to the number that booked the reservation and/or a phone call. If noise does not stop, you will be fined up to $300 or possibly evicted immediately.
11 Any items left that a guest leaves and wishes to be returned and shipped will incur a $30 fee plus shipping.
12. Commercial use of the property, including filming, is prohibited unless approved with a signed location release form. Any unauthorized filming for commercial use will result in immediate eviction and possible legal action.
Tenant and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee and security deposit for any of the following: Occupancy exceeding the sleeping capacity of the listings advertised guests, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises.
Violations of our noise rules or maximum number of guests agreed to at the time of booking will result in possible fines or immediate eviction with all loss of all rents. Depending on severity if there is a noise situation we may call and issue a warning or proceed with a $300 fine. If we cannot reach the guest that booked the property someone will show up to at a minimum issue a $300 fine and/or evict the entire group immediately. Any delay will result in us involving the authorities and trespassing every person on the property as well as the loss of all rents. Additional fines or damages may be assessed after removal.
iTrip or the Owner, does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither does owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity or plumbing, as well as due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The undersigned Tenant, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Owner from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, and causes of action by reason of any injury, loss of damage by whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover any reasonable attorneys fees and costs. Owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement upon their discretion at any time.
