Here's the skinny! The Groovy Getaway is located near the end of a private lane with very little traffic. This modern chillaxin’ wine country getaway has been renovated to create a joyful and relaxing experience from the moment you walk in the door. Situated on three acres in the heart of Dundee’s famous Red Hills, you will find yourself nestled between two wineries and vineyards with beautiful views from every room.

As you may have noticed, the vibe is a bit retro and far out, with most everything being recently renovated or brand new throughout the super-cool layout of this mid-70’s double-split-level home. The colors are stylish and fun, and the finishing details are the perfect blend of swank and comfort. We want our guests to understand that we have a commitment of inclusion across race, gender, age, identity and experiences among all. These are important values to us and hope that our guests will embrace these as well while enjoying all The Groovy Getaway in Dundee has to offer.

The entry level has a huge open floor plan that incorporates living, dining, and kitchen areas with a massive custom sofa, Bose sound system, “The Frame” Art TV, and an expansive deck for both indoor and outdoor dining and relaxation. One level up from the entry, you will find three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one being en-suite). On the first level down, you will find two more bedrooms, another full bath, and a newly-equipped laundry room. Each of the five bedrooms has a big, comfy king bed, champagne bucket, and private balcony, your own space -- a retreat within the retreat -- where you can read or take in the views with a bottle of wine or French press from the kitchen.

Step down one more level and you will discover the entertainment and game room, featuring a rad 8-foot custom billiards table (built in Portland), plasma screen with sound bar, 70s-era sofa, vintage coffee table and a selection of games and puzzles. Open the slider and step out to the large sheltered patio with a propane fire table facing the bocce ball and cornhole court. This fabulous property also provides a large, wood-burning fire ring.. It is the perfect setting for celebrating evenings of kinship with the people you care about.

This home has plenty of space to spread out. There are multiple indoor common areas including the main room with a massive 15’ x 12’ sectional and a newly added fireplace, a dining room that seats 10, and a downstairs billiards/TV room with another large sectional. There are also three outdoor common area patios (2 covered) and each of the five bedrooms has its own private veranda to escape to.

The 20’ x 12’ kitchen is so well equipped, any cook will be thrilled! You can have four chefs in the kitchen, with 6 foot distance between each. Take a look at the pictures that show just some of the items in the cupboards. Keep yourself safe with clever wine markers on the wine glasses, mismatched coffee cups, beer bands, different color glasses, and even color-coded marshmallow sticks.

You'll love the two car garage, which includes a work bench and a large garden/storage shed.

Indeed, there is so much to enjoy here, many groups will find they don’t want to leave. But if you do, you will find multiple vineyards within walking distance, including two award winning wine makers adjoining the property, and many others a short drive away. For dining and shopping, the towns of Dundee, Newberg, and Dayton (all within 10 minutes) offer a full range of restaurants, taquerias, bakeries and coffee shops, as well as grocery options to provision the large, well-equipped kitchen at your disposal.

Incredibly convenient to wineries, including Twomey, Furioso, Domaine, Roy & fils, and Bergstrom (there are two wineries next door, 9 within a mile, and 12 more within 2.5 miles). Red Hills Market and multiple restaurants are less than 2 miles away. Trail head to a beautiful hike is 3/4 mile away.

Frequently Asked Questions

1  Tenant agrees to leave the premises and its contents in the same condition, neat and tidy, as Tenant found the premises to be upon move-in, normal wear and tear expected. 
2  All dishes are to be washed and all garbage removed from the premises and placed in outside receptacles. 
3  No glitter or confetti is to be used or dispersed on the property. Failure to comply will result in extra cleaning fees of at least $300.00 at a minimum.
4  The maximum number of occupants shall not exceed the advertised number stated on the listing.
5  Furnishings are not to be removed from the premises for use outside or in other properties.
6  If Pets are allowed on Property a $100 per pet fee is required. Let us know if you will be bringing pets so we can send a $100 request per pet. Please pick up after your pets. If feces are left behind an extra charge of $50 applied clean up. If it is marked as "No pets" this policy must be observed and pets are not allowed on premises.
7  Smoking is not allowed in the unit. $500 fine if evidence of smoking is found in the unit.
8  Reservations are not made by or for a minor, defined as any person under the age of twenty-five (25).
9  Tenant and any guest of Tenant shall obey all laws of the state the rental vacation rental property resides in, as well as local laws, at all times while they are on the premises. Failure to abide by the laws of the state or the above rules may cause tenant to be asked to vacate the premises and forfeit all rents and security/damage deposits.
10  There shall be no noise that can be heard outside the home between the hours of 10pm - 7am. If noise is an issue, you will get a written warning text message to the number that booked the reservation and/or a phone call. If noise does not stop, you will be fined up to $300 or possibly evicted immediately.
11  Any items left that a guest leaves and wishes to be returned and shipped will incur a $30 fee plus shipping. 
12. Commercial use of the property, including filming, is prohibited unless approved with a signed location release form. Any unauthorized filming for commercial use will result in immediate eviction and possible legal action.

Tenant and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee and security deposit for any of the following: Occupancy exceeding the sleeping capacity of the listings advertised guests, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises.

Violations of our noise rules or maximum number of guests agreed to at the time of booking will result in possible fines or immediate eviction with all loss of all rents.  Depending on severity if there is a noise situation we may call and issue a warning or proceed with a $300 fine. If we cannot reach the guest that booked the property someone will show up to at a minimum issue a $300 fine and/or evict the entire group immediately. Any delay will result in us involving the authorities and trespassing every person on the property as well as the loss of all rents. Additional fines or damages may be assessed after removal. 

iTrip or the Owner, does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither does owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity or plumbing, as well as due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control.
The undersigned Tenant, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Owner from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, and causes of action by reason of any injury, loss of damage by whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover any reasonable attorneys fees and costs. Owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement upon their discretion at any time.

This property was beautiful, we enjoyed waking up each morning to sit outside and enjoy the view. If you are coming for a fun wine trip, this location is perfect. Our favorite winery was next door. The house was well laid out so you have your own space. The beds were comfortable and the big blue couch was the best place we all could sit and hang out together. The outdoor fire-pit was also fun to sit around at night. Any thing you need for cooking is there, the kitchen is well stocked. The property managers communicated and updated me on thing going on in the house. Any time I had a question someone would reach out to me right away. There were able to accommodate our needs during our stay. I highly recommend this property and if I return to the area will be staying at this house again. This is a perfect places to enjoy with friends and family.

Without a doubt this is the best location if you love wine. No need to even drive anywhere with two winery’s right next door. The house is fully stacked with everything you need. We even had a private chef who cooked for us and had everything she needed. I should not say this home is to amazing since that would reduce my stay here and overcrowd it but damn, it was fabulous. I will be back and wish I could live there.

The property management is superb and responsive. This home has everything you need and more, and I wish we could spend more days here. Updated property with private balconies for each bedroom, open-space concept with a full-kitchen. Close to walking trails and walkable to wineries in the Dundee Hills. Waking up to the views of nature and enjoying a morning cup was one of the things I enjoyed. Stay here with your friends and family and you will nit regret it.

This home was amazing! It had everything we were looking for in terms of space and cleanliness. The backyard had gorgeous views and was close to some great wineries. The living room was large and was able to easily accommodate everyone. The host was very responsive and provided everything we needed. We would definitely recommend staying at this house!

What an amazing home! So much fun! Great walks up to the winery in Elevee! A beautiful tasting room with great views! Walking in the woods just down the street on the Harvey Creek Trail. Fantastic dinners with amazing women. Lounging on the super comfy couch is a special way to start and end each day ... planning the events to come and wrapping up the day's activities!! Best trip ever with beautiful friends!

Fantastic week! Six of us came together from Colorado, Washington and Oregon for five nights of catching up. Love the house! Some of the things that went down: Loved on the four white labs down the hill. Walked to 30-40 minutes down the road for wine tasting at Torii Mor. Beautiful walk, lovely deck setting, and a server with wacky/memorable character. Good fun! And then hitched a ride back with a super-friendly winery guy in a passing pickup. Not enough photos of alpacas! Cooking and sharing so much good food and wine and snacks galore. The kitchen was spacious enough for all of us to cook and prep and sip together around the island (and the fridge has that cool auto-refillable pitcher in the door that none of have seen before but now want); Tasting right up the hill at Elevee. Sweet, intimate little private tasting room, the Bernese Mountain dog 'Four' was a highlight as we hung out on the patio and nibbled on their grapes; Champoeg State Park was 20 minutes away, so we went there to go walking/jogging, then took a look at the Willamette and wondered…could we kayak to Portland from here? And those awesome fires in the fire pit! Such a great spot. We did this three out of five nights with s'mores and wine. Why not?! The house had everything we needed for our friends' reunion. Such a beautiful space and location! Oh and really such comfy and giant beds. The only sorry is that we never got in a game of pool. Thank you, and we hope to return!
