Welcome to Granite Peak at San Ayre Court—a spacious, pet-friendly apartment between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs, close to Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Canyon and Old Colorado City.

With two queen bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a private kitchen and roomy living area, four guests can travel together without being together every single second.

## SEPTEMBER IN MANITOU

September brings crisp mornings, comfortable hiking weather, changing aspens and fewer weekday crowds.

### SEPTEMBER 19–20: PIKES PEAK ASCENT & MARATHON

Watch remarkably determined—or possibly unhinged—runners race from downtown Manitou to the 14,115-foot summit of Pikes Peak.

The Ascent climbs 7,800 vertical feet on September 19. On September 20, marathon runners go up and then, because apparently that was not enough, run back down.

Race it, support a runner or enjoy breakfast while feeling extremely pleased with your decision not to participate.

### SEPTEMBER 26: MANITOU HERITAGE BREWFEST

Craft beer, regional breweries, food and live music take over Fields Park for Manitou’s annual Heritage Brewfest.

Spend the day sampling Colorado beer, then return to an apartment with two bathrooms—which may prove strategically valuable.

## TWO BEDROOMS + TWO BATHROOMS

Granite Peak accommodates four guests in two private bedrooms. Each includes a comfortable queen bed, hotel-quality linens and space to unpack.

The bedroom beside the kitchen has an ensuite bathroom. The second full bathroom is immediately outside the other bedroom.

It is an ideal layout for two couples, families, friends, coworkers and anyone who believes sharing a vacation does not require sharing a bathroom.

## THE LIVING ROOM

Relax after a day outside in the spacious living room with:

* Coffee table

* Comfortable gathering space

IMPORTANT A/C NOTE: The apartment’s only mini-split air-conditioning unit is in the living room. The bedrooms do not have individual A/C units. Leaving bedroom doors open helps air circulate, but guests who prefer separately controlled, very cold bedrooms should keep this in mind.

## THE KITCHEN

The private kitchen includes:

* Gas cooktop

* Full-size refrigerator

* Microwave

* Drip coffee maker

* Plates, glasses and utensils

* Pots, pans and cooking tools

* Large island with barstool seating

There is no oven. You can cook on the gas range, reheat food and make all the coffee required to become functional—but this is not the weekend for a surprise soufflé.

## BABIES & PETS WELCOME

Traveling with a baby or toddler already requires enough equipment to establish a small colony. A Pack ’n Play and high chair are available upon request.

Pets are welcome with prior approval and a one-time fee of $40 per pet. Please include every pet on the reservation.

Pets may not be left unattended unless safely crated. Your dog may sleep in its own bed, your bed or diagonally across the entire queen bed while you occupy six inches along the edge. That negotiation is up to you.

## GUEST ACCESS

Guests have private access to the entire apartment: separate entrance, kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

San Ayre Court contains several separate accommodations. The backyard, laundry room, vending machine and portions of the parking area may be shared.

## GOOD TO KNOW

The property is on West Colorado Avenue, so guests may occasionally hear traffic or notice road activity.

The only mini-split A/C unit is in the living room. The bedrooms do not have separate A/C units.

Garage parking is provided only when specifically included in the reservation; otherwise, free on-site parking is available.
