This venue is ideal for our taste. We love being on the beach and close to the water. From the balcony, we can hear and see the water and beautiful beach without leaving our unit. Special thanks to Liz and Brandon for taking card of our needs and providing friendly and courteous response to all our needs. We are looking forward to our stay in 2020

My Mom and I stayed at Island Inn #412, 7/28/18 - 8/1/18 for a short getaway from Ohio. The ease of booking, confirmation and check-in was great; all were super simple which I really did appreciate. While we couldn't park at the hotel, they have another lot across the street which didn't bother us. We were, however, able to park at the hotel after Saturday, several people checked out and there was ample parking available on site. I have a lot to say, but truly overall it isn't the 'worst' I've stayed, there are certainly much worse hotels. I likely won't be back for the reasons below. For my travels, my expectation is a clean and safe property. This is an old hotel, but isn't horrible by any means. Our largest concern was the electrical in our room. There are very few outlets, three total I think, and that includes at the vanity sink. They use an extension cord and a power strip for the other two which are used for the TV, cable, lamp, microwave, etc. While we did manage, it was a major concern for us, we believe the electrical hasn't been updated since the hotel was built. This reason alone will deter me from returning to this unit and the hotel. We did have an incident where the toilet was clogged, I called iTrip and they immediately had someone contact us. They were very nice and prompt, as was the maintenance man. The room is supposed to be equipped with a plunger, but there wasn't one and the gentleman that called questioned me three times as to whether it was in the room. We looked everywhere, no plunger, therefore he had to make a trip to give us a plunger and take care of the toilet. He advised they check inventory in the room once per year.....what??.... once per year? It should be once per week at minimum! The room was acceptable, however could use a MAJOR deep cleaning as everything is very dusty and the floors were a mess. The cleaning crew clearly does not move furniture, and the bathroom floor was filthy with long black hair..... my Mom has short hair, I have blonde hair, it wasn't ours. The furniture was acceptable as well, however the seat cushions on the chairs need a good cleaning or could really be replaced. If you like soft beds, this is for you! My Mom loved it and I was alright with it, I just prefer a hard bed, but the bed really was fine. We had rain a few times throughout our stay, crazy downpours and storms actually, which didn't ruin our vacation at all but flooded the balcony and there wasn't a drain or pipe to clear the water. Unfortunately we had to sweep it over the edge, which caused water to accumulate on the balconies below us, these guests weren't happy, and I don't blame them. DO NOT BUY COFFEE FILTERS! :-) There are plenty that others have left behind, which was nice. There is plenty of storage space for food, and it was very nice to have the refrigerator. Also, plenty of utensils for two people, as well as cups, plates, etc. There is a microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, and two electric burners with plenty of pots and pans. There are grills outdoors, we didn't use them but many people did, I really appreciated that they were available. If we had stayed longer we probably would have grilled. For the beach, there is an umbrella and two beach chairs. We didn't use them, instead rented the cabanas on the beach. That's just my preference. We were at the pool one day only and there are plenty of chairs and a tiki bar for cold drinks. Unfortunately you can't bring your own cooler. The pool too needs a major cleaning, I don't know how often they wipe it down. The water was nice and cool, unfortunately though the grime on the walls was disgusting.

We thoroughly enjoy our stay each year at this condo unit. We are situated so close to the water that some days we don't even go on the sandy beach, but just sit on the condo balcony and listen to the water and waves hit the shore. It is so pleasant and provides such calm and relaxing feelings. The condo is also situated so that we have easy access to many local activities.

The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. The view and access to the beach were great. The pool bar and service are fantastic. The place could use some updating, especially the bathroom. But, everything worked. Limited electrical outlets and towel service.

We thoroughly enjoy are stay at the Island Inn Resort and Treasure Island, Florida. The accommodations are ideal for a couple with a nice large bed, nice TV and a well laid out Kitchenette. The unit provides a wonderful view of the Gulf shoreline and you can hear the waves from the balcony. There are many fine eateries and entertainment venues in the area.

PLEASE see emails (3) that I have sent to iTrip Vacation Rentals email box. I would like to discuss a refund of cleaning fee and/or a night or 2 stay due to the picture I sent via email and what I think we had in the condo with us. I wanted to follow up with you on a couple of items since we returned for our trip to Treasure Island, FL yesterday. First…let me say – it was beautiful. The beach, sand, sun, ocean, the weather – it is like living “groundhogs day” over and over . Our flight and drive to our Unit 412 was easy which made our start to our trip fantastic. Check in and Check out were great – no hassles at all. When we arrived in the room I noted that if we had any maintenance concerns we were to call or email and they would be there to fix the situation. Although nothing needed fixing for us I did want to make the staff aware of a couple different things. I email 2 different times and they are attached above for your review. I wanted to note: there were a couple of divits/sunken area of the laminate flooring that according to owner on VRBO is new. I also wanted to make note that the water pressure was bad. While it wasn’t a trickle it wasn’t flowing. As well, on Friday I emailed because all during that night (11/4) I kept “hearing” movement around the studio apartment. The next morning we woke to find shavings under the bathroom sink (picture attached) – blocked off this section with towel and book and emailed (attached). Overall, the Unit 412 was fine – it does need updating and I did want to make you aware of items of concerns we found. If you have any questions –please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for the notes. We're glad that the condo and location worked well for you, and that you were able to enjoy our fabulous beaches. We do maintain a dedicated 24hr Guest service line for any maintenance or cleaning issues, and emails are responded to immediately. It seems that your emails didn't get through to us. There is also a 24hr toll free number to call for situations like this where the Guest doesn't get a response fast enough. We have throughly checked the condo, and we do see the damage that you are referring to, however, it doesn't appear to be from any type of pest, but looks like it was caused from a hard knock. It has been taken care of. The building and condo are treated regularly, and we have not had any issues reported.

Our stay in June of 2016 at the Island Inn, Unit 412 was very nice. The condo was just as defined and the check-in\check-out process was very easy. I found the unit to be very nice. The building itself is alittle old but its clear attention has been paid to upkeep. We found the staff at the front desk and the bar (pool area) to be very friendly. The interior of the condo to be clean and very comfortable. We will be pack maybe with a larger party.

We had an amazing trip, the weather was beautiful, the location stunning and the water crystal clear. The hotel location was perfect, was on the lesser crowded end of the area and was close to everything we needed during our stay. The room was very nice and accommodating for myself and my fiancé and we even added an extra day because we just were not ready to leave yet! Great location, spectacular views... U can see the ocean while laying in bed, and as much relaxation as u could want! Only negative was the outlets, there were not many and we needed an outlet thingy to be able to plug in and charge our phones and things at the same time!

My wife & I were finally getting away for a birthday/Labor Day wknd and definitely did enjoy the Ocean view & sound from our room every evening for sunset & in the day as well! However, when we arrived, there was a strong amonia smell in the room that took us a couple days to try and air out and hard to relax in. We ended up having to clean the filters in the A/C unit and also wondered if there may have been some of that smell left in the older carpet in the room. We would try to be on the balcony to get some better air and enjoy the view as well, which is why we chose the room, but there seemed to be other guests right below us smoking quite often, which put a damper on things for us as well. We had to keep going in and out of the room, waiting for the smokers to finish before we could enjoy cleaner air to breathe in and couldn't get that inside too much either. Being that my wife runs her own cleaning company & is very thorough, we know how things should smell & look for the best outcome for customers and things definitely could've been done much better than what they were....with dirty mirrors & sliding door, along with dusty appliances that we also had to clean ourselves. Needless to say, it was not as relaxing as we had hoped, also with children unattended at late hours hanging out by the back entrance to the building, which our room was near also. We had to call the front desk to have someone check out the situation and help shew the kids away. With all the kidnappings around, especially on busy occassions, we were surprised that no one was ever out with the children at any time, day or night, from what we saw! And when it rained, the balcony flooded because of a slant in the building, which caused your feet to get soaked if you wanted to still sit out there later on. There definitely needs to be some upgrades, but thank God, the people we dealt with for this stay, were at least, friendly :) I wanted to put between 2 & 3 stars bc the concept of the room, with supplying cerain kitchen & beach items, was nice, but cleanliness is just huge with us & seemed kind of silly that WE were having to pay someone else to clean, when we could've done a better job outselves :(

A great getaway for a couple. Temperatures were in the 90s yet no need for the AC with the patio door open to enjoy the gulf breeze. An older beach resort with a super staff. Good economy lodging located in a prime beach spot. We will return!
