About Marblehead

Founded in 1629, Marblehead was a crucial fishing port during the American Revolution; much of its history can be discovered by navigating through the colorful, narrow streets of Old Town. Like an open-air museum, Marblehead flaunts its history not only in its well-preserved 18th-century houses and architecture, national historic landmarks and local shops are sprinkled throughout the town.

After meandering amongst the quaint Colonial houses, take a tour through Marblehead Neck, which leads to the lighthouse. Marvel at the breathtaking views of Marblehead Harbor, birthplace of the US Navy, & a major sailing capital.

Marblehead’s most popular beach, Devereux, has plenty of picnic tables, playgrounds, and on-site restrooms. Gas House Beach is on Little Harbor. With a rocky shore and small boats anchored in tranquil, shallow water, the scene at Gas House is perfectly New England. Active visitors can enjoy a paddle at King’s Beach with views of Boston.

Bucket list #1
5/5 stars
Exceeded our expectations. Roof top view was amazing. Only complaint is the parking. Other than that it is beautiful and in an excellent location
- Sean

Hi Sean. We are so delighted that you enjoyed your stay and that view from the rooftop deck, it really is stunning! We hope to have you back again soon.

Beautiful views.
4/5 stars
This place had beautiful views and is a great location. Good restaurants near by along with the beach really close. The only downside is the stairs. If you are handicapped I would not suggest this place. You have to go up or down the stairs to sleep, or use the bathroom, and they are very narrow and curvy. There is also, no driveway for the rental. You have to park on the street, which we had no issue with finding a spot. Beautiful spot otherwise!
- Glen

Hello Glen. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at SeaCity View. It is ideally located with so many things nearby. The view from the upper deck is really amazing! This condo is cozy and comfy and just what you need for a quick getaway! We look forward to having you back again soon!

Great place to stay, feel like part of town
4/5 stars
This house is located in Swampscott which gives you access to so many wonderful places. Marblehead, Gloucester, Danvers, and Swampscott itself are fun places to visit. You can walk to a lighthouse or two, find great shopping, and lots of history all over the area, especially Salem. The host was super helpful in accepting some Amazon packages for us ahead of time so that we would have a pack n play and assorted things for our 9 month-old. The kitchen is well appointed and it is a very comfortable home. We enjoyed the house very much. Now for a few warnings. 1) There are 4 floors accessed through very narrow winding stairs - not a home for anyone with a limited mobility or unable to endure moderate exercise! 2) The lighting in the main floor consists of extremely dim spotlights and 4 lamps, so you have to be prepared to go around the room every time you want lighting to get it bright enough to see, even then it is dim. 3) there is truly only 1 queen bed. The futon in the second upstairs bedroom is comfortable (there is a mattress and pad in the closet), the downstairs is a pull out couch, which was pulled out for us, but we didn't use it. 4) The basement (third bedroom - pull out couch, and access to porch) does smell musty, but it is the kind of smell that many of us who grew up in old houses find to be reminiscent of the past. It isn't moldy or sour, just a house with character. You no longer have to enter in the door down below, there is a lock and entry at the main level. We had a wonderful time in this home and would rent it again.
