Beautifully situated in a lovely, peaceful neighborhood; it's so easy to get lost in the beauty of the surroundings.....Canopy Cottage is updated & perfectly decorated with only an 8 minute bike ride to sink your toes in the famous powdery quartz cool sand.... it's everything you might imagine. Walk the beach combing for shells, or relax with your favorite beverage of choice under an umbrella with a great book, build a sandcastle with little ones or swim in the Gulf of Mexico and soak up the sunshine and the deep blue skies....No unhappy endings to this story.....book Canopy Cottage today. This home is beautifully decorated in modern retro quality furnishings with nearly 3,000 square feet of indoor & outdoor living areas including a separate game room.. Open up the stacked sliders anytime to let the fresh ocean breezes flow in and out of the home. There are 2 skylights and plenty of windows to illuminate up every inch of the space. Sleeps 8 easily and comfortably. Only 8 minute to bike to the beach as well as to the village shops, cafes, many restaurant both fine and casual. One well behaved Fido allowed with prior permission and fee.
The lovely modern & updated kitchen has a Stainless Samsung double door refrigerator with front door quick access to ice/water and large Stainless/ black high end oven/stove with a 5 burner glass top. Includes a warming oven separate from the oven, ever so convenient when cooking larger meals or warming up leftovers. A stainless microwave sits in its own drawer next to the refrigerator. Stainless D/W, gorgeous solid stone countertops, wine refrigerator, & plenty of room for more than one cook to move about.
Tech features include a sound bar in the living room and two smart home devices located in the kitchen and in the game room to stream music or advise you it's time to head to the beach for sunset.
Off the kitchen is a small breakfast bar for 2 and also a cafe table with two Saarinen chairs and a modern gray leather settee that is divinely comfortable. Open up the stacked triple sliders and dine outdoors anytime. The expansive screened lanai has a cafe table for 2, a large wrought iron dining table for 6, two loungers and a couple of chairs all waiting for you. The remote control spa spills over into the pool gifting you the sound of a bubbling brook....ahhhh, so relaxing! There's a large BBQ grill with 2 propane tanks (refill gas not included). Sit among the trees in the yard and enjoy singing birds in a peaceful setting. Open the garage door to the game room for a round of pool.....there's a flat screen too plus games and more.
The living room is spacious with modern retro furnishings...with a 60" Smart LG flat screen, WiFi, Cable and sound bar. Behind the living room is a gorgeous marble table top with 6 Saarinen leather chairs for family dinnertime...oh so comfortable! Both the living & dining areas have windows with custom Cali shutters to perfectly control the sunlight you desire.
Extra tech for your listening pleasure includes a sound bar in the living room, and two smart Home devices which not only can stream your favorite music, but can give you updates when it's time to head to the beach for the sunset or confirm tomorrow's sunny weather.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms: There are 4 gorgeous bedrooms 3 of which have King beds. The King bedroom off the kitchen has a Smart flat screen TV and stacked sliders that open up to the screened pool/lanai area. The bath and laundry room are just steps away down the hall. This bath has a step-to tiled shower with a vanity just across the way. From the bathroom is a large laundry room with full size w/d, cabinets, iron table, folding table and a laundry sink. This bathroom is also conveniently close to the kitchen.
On the other side of the home off the living room area are 3 bedrooms and two baths. The larger of the baths has a bathtub/shower combo. All new and modern. Around the corner from this bath is the yellow bedroom with lots of windows covered by Cali shutters, large closet, a work desk and a King bed. The flooring is carpet. Across the way are two more bedrooms. One is a child's room with bunk double-sized beds and a closet. No TV. There is a small bathroom connected to the bunk bedroom. Lastly, there is roomy King bedroom with a flat screen Smart TV and French doors that access the screened pool area. Walk right out to the pool for a morning swim before coffee & breakfast. This bedroom is also connected to the small bathroom with a pedestal lav and lovely tiled open shower.
No smoking. This property may be rented once per month per zoning restrictions.
One well behaved dog allowed WITH PRIOR PERMISSION. No CATS, No Exceptions!
All pets must be approved so reach out to us first. This property allows 1 dog. For approved pets, there is an a nonrefundable pet fee of $300 plus taxes and processing fee for 1 pet. Make sure to pick up after your dog.

Frequently Asked Questions
- All guests agree to the Sarasota Beach Vacations, LLC. Rental Agreement and this supercedes any other agreement. Credit card verification is required for last minute bookings. We are licensed under the Division of Hotels and you agree that breach of our rules may result in immediate eviction per FL DBRP.
- Registered Guests must be 25 or older. Bookings by guests under 25 years of age will be cancelled without refund. No business bookings or contractors without prior approval and additional deposit. Card holder must be the guest.
- If at any given time, the maximum occupancy is exceeded, the tenant will be in material breach of the lease and expedited eviction will apply in addition to a fine.
- Many complexes do not allow boats, motocycles, trailers, jet skis, kayaks, golf carts, trucks or monster trucks. It is your responsibility to ask prior to booking. A 17' pickup truck may count as oversized, so ASK FIRST. We cannot guarantee additional parking. If the unit says you get 1 space, you get 1 space.
- If the property says it is subject to HOA approval, there are additional restrictions. This is only applicable for longer stay properties of a month or more and the property description will say that an HOA application is required. Your booking is not complete until you return this form to us and you cannot be given access until you are approved. We do not control this process. Do not book a long term property for checkin shorter than the days the HOA notes they needed for approval or understand we may need to shift your days. Your rental is contingent on following HOA rules where applicable.
- Complexes have rules and the management of those complexes have the right to evict guests (under hotel rules) who do not follow their rules. Sarasota County and City Zoning requires outside quiet hours from 10PM until 8AM.
- AC is to be set no lower than 73 degrees.
- Renters are not authorized to make property repairs, 'improvements' or other property changes without written permission
- No Smoking Permitted. $500 fine. This includes vaping, cigarettes and other types of leaves.
- Pets are only allowed in pet friendly properties and is only for one dog. Dogs are only allowed with express written permission in advance and with a $300 non-refundable pet security deposit. Always ask first as there may be size/weight/breed limits. Aggressive breeds not allowed. Complaint(s) by neighbors of barking can result in eviction. Please pick up after your dog. If we have to remove dog poop from the yard, you will be charged both for professional removal plus $150. Some complexes do not allow emotional support animals. Per Florida law, a complex may restrict these for transient rentals. We are licensed to follow Florida Hotel rules not landlord/tenant rules. Ask before booking. A properly licensed service animal must always be allowed, however please note that a few of our owners are allergic to certain animals. Please communicate with us first if you have special requirements as we can direct you to a different property.
- There will be no refund for early departure unless authorities enact a mandatory hurricane evacuation for the location of your reserved property covering dates of your stay. Travel Insurance is recommended.
- Repairs, maintenance and renovations to buildings or other units are out of our control. These processes may involve noise and inconvenience during daylight hours. Refunds will not be made for noise and/or inconvenience caused by building repairs, maintenance and/or renovation work that we do not control.
- Things sometimes break. No refunds for appliance, electronic or pool issues. We will do our best to fix or replace as quickly as we can. If your pool heat isn't working and you paid separately for it, we will refund the pool heat, not your rent.
- Departure Instructions: Professional cleaners clean after your stay. You don’t need to make the beds or do laundry. Please do your own dishes, start the dishwasher & remove your food & trash.
