Quaint and quiet weekend in Salem. Beautiful place to stay with all the amenities. Central location to all the sites. Everything was in walking distance, even the parking garage wasn’t that far. When I return to Salem to visit, I’ll likely stay in the same place. I wish it was pet friendly, though. My little Gryph was the only thing missing this weekend.

We found the inside to be fully updated, fully stocked, clean, and beautiful. Perfect location within 2 minute walk of the action on Essex one way, and House of Seven Gables the other. In a quiet alley. No need to bring anything, it's all stocked! Only thing, is there is no onsite parking, and we paid $48 to park for about 36 hours (2 nights) in the public parking garage nearby. So just be prepared for that. But parking was safe, ample, and not too inconvenient. Our host was also very lovely, prompt, and courteous.

This lovely little apartment served me well on a research trip in old Salem, a charming spot full of history. The place is well appointed, with new kitchen and bathroom fixtures, a new bed and bedding. There’s only a futon in the tiny living room, though, so anything more than a couple might be crowded. There is no street parking; a municipal lot a quarter-mile away is the best solution, though it costs about $20 a day.

We absolutely loved this property and our stay! Liann was so helpful and responsive to questions and reached out to make sure we were satisfied and made herself available to answer any questions. We were able to park our car a block away on Essex and didn’t need the car for the rest of our stay - because the location was so central! Shops, restaurants, nightlife - all within steps of this beautifully appointed base camp. The charm of the old outside and the modern/updated touches of the inside made this One Bedroom hideaway exactly what we were looking for! The welcome basket was truly appreciated after our 7 hour drive. We enjoyed a chilled glass of Chardonnay after our journey and it set the mood for the rest of our vacation. Salem was an amazing town - filled with rich history, diversity and friendly townsfolk. We are already talking about our next stay!! Thanks so much!

Lovely condo in great location. Everything you could need is in the kitchen, bright and clean and cheerful. Way better than a hotel for less $$

Parking was a real issue. It started in the package that a parking pass was provided. None was provided. We texted lianne and she started that we should pay for public parking and she would reimburse us. We paid $65 in parking fees but have not been reimbursed yet. There was also no iron or iron board. We were harrassed by the other owners and when we were leaving and placed our recyables out, the lady in the other apartment went out and went through our recyables to ensure that we had done it right. This was not a pleasant experience. The accommodations were great....the experience was not. I realize that lianne has no control over the other owners but does have control over what should have been provided.

Wow! I am sorry that you were so disappointed with your visit. I reached out and asked if you needed anything and was told "all is great!". If you'd requested an iron & ironing board, I'd have brought it by that day. New properties sometimes are missing a few things, and we're readily available to bring things, as needed. Regrettably, the parking pass can no longer be provided because a guest misplaced it. Salem has a very strict no replacements policy. In an effort to adapt to this situation, we agreed to pay for parking. The parking garage is quite close, and the guest has been reimbursed the $65. Please know that the neighbor was trying to be helpful with the recycling. With all the new challenges around recycling (like China not taking our waste anymore), Salem has changed their recycling rules, and are enforcing them to avoid issues with the single-stream recycling equipment. Finally, if a neighbor harasses you, please know I can only intervene if you tell me. Salem and Wizard's Watch welcome visitors.
