Adorable and cozy
4/5 stars
Our family of four enjoyed the cabin. The beds were comfortable, minus the pull-out couch. The fireplace was cozy and we liked the timer feature (safety). The wifi worked just fine, even with all four of us online. The porch was a favorite; we loved the rocking chairs, swing and hot tub, which was clean, but appeared to be missing a part (see garbage comment below; I think I saw it down there). It was a great place to enjoy nature, even with some noisy construction going on. The kitchen met our needs, but do be aware that there is NO large pot if you want to make a batch of pasta or soup, etc. The available pots/pans are super basic. The aerator in the kitchen faucet is also shot, so use the sprayer function instead of the regular. Water pressure is somewhat low, but not terrible, overall. The main shower is fine, but kind of hard to manage because the controls are not in reach of the actual shower. The only big disappointment was that there was a bunch of garbage behind the cabin that clearly came from its porch (beer cans, kids' squeeze drinks shaped like sea horses, possible part from hot tub).

Home away from home

I loved everything about my stay at the climbing club! From the hot tub to the open shower. Very nice and clean 10/10 hands down! I’ll definitely be revisiting in the future!

Nice Get-Away
2/5 stars
The cabin was clean & comfortable. The shower was awesome! There are a few kitchen issues that we feel needs to be brought to your attention. 1. Kitchen lighting very poor. Very hard to see when cooking on stove. Stove light did not work. 2. There was only 2 very small pots & several frying pans,, No larger pots, although there were large lids but no pots! This resulted in not being able to boil noodles we had brought. There was no cookie sheet to use for biscuit baking! 3. The kitchen sink needs a stopper and faucet is in need of repair. It was a very relaxing few days away but we feel that given the amount of money we paid, these items should have been available to use!
- Samuel

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay at our cabin. We are pleased to hear that you found the cabin clean and comfortable, and that you enjoyed the shower. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the kitchen amenities. Your comments about the poor lighting, inadequate cookware, and lack of essential items such as a cookie sheet and a stopper for the kitchen sink have been duly noted. We understand the importance of providing a well-equipped kitchen for our guests. Rest assured, we will address these issues promptly to ensure that future guests have a more enjoyable and convenient experience. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better stay in the future.

Beautiful cabin, treacherous roads
4/5 stars
The cabin itself was beautiful. It was clean and well stocked. The hot tub was great. We have never used a gas fireplace before and could not figure out how to turn it on so it would have been helpful to have instructions but no biggie, the cabin heated up nicely. The roads, on the other hand, were a whole different story. I would not be comfortable driving those roads any time of the year. When it says 4 wheel drive recommended, that is a true recommendation. This cabin is well off the beaten path.
- Amber

Thank you for sharing your experience at our cabin. We're delighted to hear that you found the cabin beautiful, clean, and well-stocked, and enjoyed the hot tub. We appreciate your feedback about the gas fireplace, and we will work on providing clearer instructions for future guests. We strive to provide accurate information about the accessibility of our location to ensure our guests are well-prepared. We hope that despite the challenges with the roads, you were able to enjoy a peaceful getaway in our secluded cabin. We value your feedback and would love the opportunity to welcome you back for another stay in the future.

Family of 6 - Had a blast!!
5/5 stars
We really really enjoyed our stay at the Climbing Club. It was a last-minute trip on our end and they made everything seamless. There were a couple very minor issues when we arrived, but management went ABOVE and BEYOND to remedy them and ensure our happiness not only with the cabin but with the whole vacation. Communication was perfect. The cabin comfortably slept all 6 of us, with two kids on each of the extra beds. Even though we maxed the cabin out with our size, there was still plenty of room and we weren't on top of eachother at all. The kids especially loved the pool table and we all loved the hot tub. We were lucky enough to have some amazing bear sightings during our stay in the development... one was on our front porch! My husband and I both want to say that you should be comfortable in your driving skills when it comes to maneuvering the roads. Very steep and narrow, but well worth it!! It was a gorgeous scenery. Right next to the National Park, and perfectly placed between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. If you love to do your own meals - the kitchen is gold. The master shower is incredible... I miss it more than the hot tub! If you're lucky, you'll have a rainy night and get to sit out on the back porch and enjoy it. This cabin is definitely the place to choose if you are looking for the comforts of home with the beauty of getting away from it all. Thank you to the management team for a wonderful trip!!

Beautiful Cabin
5/5 stars
The Climbing Cub cabin was cozy and beautiful! It was far enough from the neighbors so it made it feel secluded! The view from the deck was nice and peaceful. We really enjoyed the porch swing, hot tub and looking into the woods! We also enjoyed the shower and the couches/recliner were so comfy! We did have trouble the first day with the tv in the main living room not turning on and the front door lock not locking when we put in our code. We called the maintenance number and they were so responsive and sent someone over to fix both issues! Overall, we enjoyed the cabin and our trip! We will definitely be back!
- Sara

Yay! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the cabin, and are glad we were able to promptly fix that issue. We hope you visit the Smoky Mountains again soon!

Perfect mountain cabin
5/5 stars
We loved the Climbing Cub and our time spent there! The pool table, hot tub, comfy recliner, and huge shower were great perks. The kitchen has everything needed for meals in, the 2 beds were comfy, and Alexa provided us all the tunes we needed for dancing and chilling. We liked that there were neighbors “within shouting distance” but not too close and that there are no steps to the front door. Great communication with the host. There was no T Mobile cell service at the cabin, but it only became a challenge when there was a power outage. Climbing Cub was a nice midpoint between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for getting out. Some things our family loved: the Titanic Museum, Rocky Top Mountain Coaster, Professor Hackers Lost Treasure Golf, Curl de la Crème, and Gatlinburg Sky Bridge. Things we did not love: middle of the night forest fire evacuations and power outages. Though we were very thankful for our safety and the helpfulness of our host!
- Carla

Absolutely love it! Thank you so much for this great feedback and review. We are happy you enjoyed all the attractions. We are happy you all are safe. Unfortunately we do not have control over situations like this, but we strive to still provide the best experience possible. We look forward to having you back soon! Wonderful to work with you.

In need of some improvements
1/5 stars
Loved the cabin & scenery. Some suggestions— 1. Supply more towels 2. At $500 a night, quality paper products & name brand detergent, etc. would be appreciated. 3. I’m sure that quilt on the king sized bed has never been washed. The pillow cases were yellow. 4. A welcome basket would go a long way with guests.
- Lori

Thank you for being a valued guest. Records indicate that our staff did not receive a request for a service call during your stay. Our team would have been happy to respond. Each property is supplied with two washcloths, two hand towels and two bath towels per guest. A start up supply of paper products and soaps are also provided. The staff has not received any complaints from previous guests regarding the quality of the amenities, or the lack of a guest basket. Providing treats for guests are the decision of the individual property owner. However, we do appreciate your input. This beautiful and serene property maintains a consistently high 4.8 star ranking.

Nice place to relax.
5/5 stars
We enjoyed our stay at "Climbing Cub" cabin. Very nice place and really enjoyed the peaceful private rear deck, with hot tub, swing and rocking chairs. Really nice place to just unplug and enjoy the peaceful nature. Would have been a bonus to have a mountain top view, but being surrounded by trees was ok also. Nicely updated log home nicely appointed with all you need for your stay. Getting up to the cabin is a steep, twisty drive one that I quite enjoyed, my wife however not so much. Not sure how one would get up and down in winter weather, but dry or wet really should be no problem. We were basically between to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Come down the mountain and turn right or left and only a short drive way. We would stay there again, for sure.
- Thomas

Thank you so much for the feedback and great review! We enjoyed having you and your family stay at our cabin and look forward to having you back again soon.

Climbing Cub Vacation October 2020
5/5 stars
The cabin itself was very clean and pleasant, QUITE A DRIVE to get there, not for the faint of heart (from Florida.) If you want to be secluded and away from everyone this is the place. There was a hot tub to relax in after a busy day of hiking and shopping and sightseeing. Restaurants were down the mountain and plentiful and a variety of places to eat. The Art Circle was at the bottom of the mountain which we figured out on our last day. LOL We were excited to SEE BEARS in the first hours, while we were sitting around the dining room table looking out the window! Close to Gatlinburg although it was very crowded downtown and traffic. Pigeon Forge had an incredible German Restaurant close to Dollywood, not to be missed. As for the cabin itself, some minor repairs were needed, but when we called they came immediately to correct any issues. Very pleasant folks taking care of us. Thanks to Jack and his staff! Back door would not lock, but maintenance was there right away.. Ice Maker not connected. We purchased ice cube trays- You are Welcome, LOL. It would be more convenient to have a wardrobe in the upstairs loft to hang clothes. Would very much go back and enjoy the calm and quiet. So much to do and eat there that another trip will be needed. Go and enjoy the countryside, waterfalls and hiking trails that abound.

We at iTrip are delighted you enjoyed your stay! Thank you so much for your review and feedback. Always exciting to see the bears, they are active in this area. We are happy everything met your expectations, and hope to host you again soon!

Exceeded Expectations
5/5 stars
This cabin was the perfect fit for a much needed moms getaway. It gave us that secluded mountain feeling we were looking for, but is centrally located so we had quick access to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin is newly remodeled and they nailed every detail perfectly. Everything is very clean, neatly organized, and easy to find. The kitchen gave us a “Joanna Gains meets mountain cabin” feel and is fully equipped with everything we needed. All the beds, including the sleeper sofa, were SO comfortable! Let me just tell you, the master shower is huge and amazing!!! This cabin is beautiful!!!! We even saw a momma bear and her cubs!! It was nature at its finest. We all kept talking about how we can’t wait to bring our families to stay here. Even the booking with iTrip was easy and Jack’s costumer service was top notch. The memories we made on this vacation will last a lifetime. We will definitely rent this cabin again.
- Mindi Conner
