As you walk up to the house, you'll see a large patio out front with a table for eight. This is a great spot to enjoy the coastal breezes. Inside this home are rich, dark hardwood floors, wood beam ceilings in the living room, and leaded glass windows in the stairwell.

The home has a bright open floor plan. This common living space is made up of a living room, kitchen, and dining area. The living room showcases soaring high ceilings. A plush couch and additional seating are arranged around the fireplace and mounted flat screen TV. Light the fire as the coastal breeze picks up at night to create a cozy ambiance. Relax on the couch with your loved ones and catch your favorite program or movie on TV.

A few steps will bring you to the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has all appliances a chef could need to whip up anything from a scrumptious snack to a gourmet meal. Seating for two is placed at the built-in breakfast bar creating dining space and a handy way for guests to keep the chef company in the kitchen. Place your meals on the dining table with seating for six.

If you prefer an alfresco dining experience, you are going to love the back patio. There is a BBQ perfect for grilling up a nice meal. A patio table and chairs encourage you to dine and sip on a glass of your favorite wine outside. Bicycles are tucked away in the garage. On a gorgeous afternoon take them out for a spin and explore the exciting city of Corona del Mar.

Upstairs consists of the master bedroom and bathroom. The spacious master bedroom has a luxurious king bed. The bedroom is equipped with a flat screen TV and French doors leading to a private balcony with peak-a-boo views of the ocean. The master bathroom calls for a slow and peaceful morning with a large bathtub, dual sinks, and standalone shower.

A guest bedroom is on the first floor of the home. This bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed and doors to the backyard. The bunkbed is a Twin over a Queen. A full guest bathroom can be accessed through this bedroom or the hallway. There is a garage with guaranteed parking for your stay. Our property does have air conditioning.

Perched above the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean, Corona del Mar lives up to its name, “Crown of the Sea.” Locals call it “CdM,” and though the chic hamlet is part of Newport Beach, it has a vibe all its own, with vintage cottages and stunning new houses side-by-side on flower-named residential streets. Visitors can enjoy restaurants, music spots, and gastropubs to feed their hunger for diverse dining. If you enjoy an active lifestyle, Corona del Mar’s beaches provide the perfect backdrop for jogging, ocean swims, and stair climbing. Regardless of how you spend your day in Corona del Mar, the community’s Inspiration and Lookout Points are two of the most magnificent places to catch the stunning sunsets.

The home is located a short walk (15 minutes) to CORONA DEL MAR STATE BEACH, a great family beach and a popular place for swimmers. Known as Big Corona Beach, Corona del Mar State Beach is a half-mile long sandy beach framed by cliffs and a rock jetty that forms the east entrance to Newport Harbor. The beach is popular with surfers, divers, volleyball players and sunbathers.

Corona del Mar offers beautiful sandy beaches and coves that look like they came right off of a movie set. The sunsets here are incredible, so bring a picnic and enjoy! Corona del Mar State Beach held the first major surf competition on mainland America in 1928 - the Pacific Coast Surf Riding Championships.

If you want to visit the DISNEYLAND, our property is located just under 20 miles to the resort and its two main parks - DISNEYLAND and DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE. Laguna Beach's PAGEANT OF MASTERS is in July and Lyft or Uber is the easiest way to get to the event.

To avoid an extra $50 cleaning fee, please make sure all trash has been removed, linens have been removed and placed in a pile, and the dishwasher is loaded.

CLIMATE CONTROL
This property has a heater only.  There are fans throughout the house in the event of a above average heat.  Remember, this is a water front property and the best way to cool the house is with the ocean breezes.

MIMIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT
Per the City of Newport Beach Municipal Code (5.95.045 A.2) the minimum age 25 to rent.  Primary renter must be on-site during the rental.  If a reservation is found to be made by a guest under the age of 25, the reservation will be cancelled.

NO SMOKING
Smoking (both traditional, 420, and electronic) are not allowed inside or on the property at anytime.  Violation of this house rule can be cause immediate removal without any refund.


PETS
Dogs are allowed only with prior approval.

TRASH PICK-UP DAY:  Thursday is trash removal day, place bins on curb after 7pm on Wednesday evening and bring them in after the trash has been collected.

AMENITIES
  • Beach towels are provided, they are located in the upstairs linen closet.  Please do not remove the bath towels provided.
  • Beach chairs, bikes are located in the garage
  • A supply of paper products has been provided to last most of your stay.  Extra rolls are kept in the linen cabinets.  Additional needs beyond this are your responsibility

This Newport Beach home was perfect. We only wished we could have stayed longer! Those bikes were calling our names LOL, but time didn’t allow! My only suggestion if I had to make one is to identify the garage better from the back. But other than that it was absolutely adorable!!!

We have always taken a family trip to California for years! This is by far one of our favorite houses! It is extremely homey, and great for a family! We enjoyed the bikes due to the great location! Walking to breakfast every morning and taking a ride down to the beach! Overall we loved the house and is a great place to stay!

This home looks just like the photos and is immaculate and beautifully appointed. It's a great location and has sufficient parking on the street for my guests and I didn't have to use the garage. Unlike some other vrbo's I've stayed at in the area, the bed linens and beach towels are provided by the owner, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. The property manager Scott was very responsive to all my questions while I was there. I love this home and actually will return again next month for another stay.

We stayed on Balboa Island on our previous trip, and this was much nicer. The accommodations were great, and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Only parked in garage once as street parking was always available. The home was very clean and the front patio was perfect for sitting outside in late afternoon. Front door, keyless entrance, was a little challenging, but other than that everything worked well. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at 416 Dahlia Ave for four days following a four-day hotel stay in Santa Monica. The house on Dahlia was perfect - giving my husband and me, as well as our two teen boys, our own comfortable space to spread out and relax. The location was ideal - near grocery store, restaurants, shopping, and Corona del Mar beach. The beds were comfortable and the amenities provided everything we needed for our stay - a Kuerig coffee machine, cooking necessities to pack picnic lunches and make a home-cooked meal, and everything needed for the beach - umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards, and a cooler. Coffee on the front patio is a must! We also appreciated the garage parking. We would recommend spending a day at Corona del Mar beach - beautiful! Wilma's Patio on Baloboa Island was a quaint breakfast spot. The Rusty Pelican, while on the fancy side, was a delicious dinner location for fresh seafood. Be sure to check out The Wedge on Balboa Penninsula for enormous waves -something we don't see everyday in Wisconsin. We will be back and we would - without a doubt - stay on Dahlia Ave again! We have greatly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It has everything needed for a relaxing and wonderful time. The beach items worked out great! The kitchen had everything we needed to make several nice meals. The location was perfect for everywhere we planned to enjoy. So quiet and peaceful too. I booked this house for a girls trip. There were 4 of us. It was perfect. Great location, close to shops, restaurants and the water. We used the bikes in the garage to ride around town and to Balboa. Upon arrival there was a card, chocolates and a bottle of wine to greet us. The place was spotless and the master bed was so comfortable. The only thing we thought is they could have stocked more toilet paper. I would highly recommend this house for your stay.

416 Dahlia is a comfortable place to decompress. We enjoyed the soaring ceiling making this small home HUGE! Clean and cozy, this family home is smack dab in the middle of a friendly neighborhood within walking distance of shops and restaurants on PCH. One neighbor welcomed us, and we found out we had some people/work in common. The "secret" garage is found way around back on the alley. The "secret" garden next to the house is mysterious and unique. While locked off, the garden's flowers bloom and send their perfume beyond the gate. 9/10 stars for 416 Dahlia! NOTE: The location of the secret garage (around back in the alley) could have been explained a bit more! As two couples sharing the home, the downstairs bunkbed could be replaced by a queen. If a child bed needed, a fold-away could be used. That said, the existing bed was comfortable--just watch your head!!

Our stay (three adults) was amazing! To say we were comfortable is an understatement! We loved coming "home" after every outing. The location is perfect! Easy walking distance to bagels, excellent restaurants, the lovely Goldenrod bridge, beautiful Lookout Point and Pirates Cove. Front patio and master bedroom balcony are nice and we especially liked the center patio between house and garage. The living room's couch and TV are great as are all the furnishings and decor, high quality and pleasing. Kitchen and bathrooms are luxurious, clean and well appointed. The high ceilings really add to the modern feel. Can't wait to stay again at this property!

Dahlia cottage is darling, and the location is the best! Easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We spent 5 days in the home while dropping our daughter off at college and enjoying all the area has to offer. The home is super clean and well maintained. Amazing family trip

Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) had a wonderful time at this rental home. We were hoping for a relaxing, comfortable place to enjoy some downtime between visiting Disneyland and Legoland and this home was perfect for that! We were able to walk to the beach a couple of times a day as well as the park. The park close by has a great playground and lots of space to run. The walk to the lookout and beach is only 6 or so blocks away and made super easy with the flower lined bridge just 2 blocks away. The whole area was so peaceful and quiet. Even though the weather was warmer then we expected, the home was very cool and easy to keep at the perfect temp for our family to be comfortable. All the beds were comfortable and the 3 decks were great! The kitchen was awesome and had everything we needed making it easy to cook all our meals there the whole time. The off street parking in the garage was a super bonus since the parking on street was at a premium. Our family made such fantastic memories at this home and can’t wait to stay again. It was actually the highlight of our trip!

This was the perfect location - charming neighborhood - clean comfortable home - well supplied with recreational amenities, towels and the kitchen. We had the best time. The house is close to the beach (walking distance), Newport, Fashion Island , Balboa Island and Laguna. Restaurants are close by and everywhere...it was the perfect place to go with our three teenage granddaughters...they loved it because there was so much to do.

We enjoyed a very pleasant week at this well equipped, well cared for cottage on a quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood just a 10 minute walk from the beach. Everything we needed except groceries was provided and access to stores and restaurants along the Pacific Coast Highway was very convenient. We would definitely recommend this property.

My husband and I had a great time at this cozy spot. It was everything I expected. Tall ceilings made it feel so big! Newport was a great area as well -- get's very quiet at night. The neighborhood was also very safe feeling. I'd stay here again for sure!
