On arrival we found that the elevator was not working. A person, who I believe to be an employee of Sandy Shores, told us that the elevator would be working the next day. It never worked during our stay. So we took the stairs and in everything we did we had to take the stairs. This was inconvenient and exhausting. We found our room to be clean and inviting. However, the passage ways were littered with trash and dirty. A couple of days later the passage ways were cleaned. All in all our stay was good in spite of the stairs we had to climb to do everything. If the elevator would have been working it would have been better.

Great times at Sandy shores!

We stayed in united 206 for 6 nights, it was a lovely place, very clean and comfortable. The pool was fun as well as being able to step right onto the beach. Most days we walked across to johns pass for dinner and other types of fun like jet skis amd charter fishing! We plan on returning next time we vacation in the area.

Wonderful vacation

Came to stay with friends for a week vacation… it was a clean condo with beautiful views of the ocean and beach. We watched dolphins every morning. The condo is less than 5 min walk to the Johns pass boardwalk shops, fishing.. location is the best you’ll find in Madeira Beach/Johns Pass. The pool was clean and I saw them cleaning the lounge chairs and tables every morning.

Love the beach

Second stay at this building The location could not be more perfect as it is directly across from John’s pass. The unit is nice and the beds were comfortable. I really liked how it has been updated and the side view of the beach is just right. A few more towels especially for the beach would be my only suggestion.

This was the perfect location for our family’s fall break. Loved having an ocean view for coffee. Even got to watch dolphins and manatees! Condo was clean and comfortable. Excellent communication with property management. Close to food and entertainment. Would definitely stay here again!

Exceptional Service & Seamless Stay Thanks to iTrip Team

Our recent stay at Sandy Shores in Madeira Beach—right across from the lively Johns Pass—was nothing short of fantastic, thanks to the outstanding service provided by the iTrip team. From the moment we arrived, we felt supported and cared for, especially by Mike Wait, who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was smooth and enjoyable. We encountered a few minor issues during our stay, and each time, a team member was at our condo within 15 minutes—yes, really! What impressed me most was how proactive the iTrip team was: they resolved one issue before I even had a chance to notice it, and when I did raise a concern, they responded immediately and kept me updated throughout. Their communication was clear, timely, and reassuring. In contrast, a friend of mine rented two condos in Sandy Shores through a different company and had a terrible experience. That company was unresponsive, difficult to reach, and when they did attempt to fix a major issue—like replacing a broken bed frame—they installed one that didn’t even fit the mattress. To make matters worse, one of their staff members was rude to my friend’s family. It was a stark reminder of how crucial good property management is. To be fair, after complaints, they did install the proper bed frame. Both my friend (visiting from overseas) and I have already booked with iTrip for next year, and Mike Wait was incredibly accommodating in helping us secure our rooms for July 2026. His professionalism and kindness truly stood out. If you're looking for a stress-free vacation with a team that genuinely cares, I highly recommend booking through iTrip Vacation Rentals - Mainsail. Overall another great extended stay at Sandy Shores. We just have a few suggestions. 1) The bathroom exhaust fans are very loud. Plus they are very slow in removing the moisture in the air and on the mirror after a shower. You may want to upgrade those. We can live with it, but others may have an issue. 2) The floors seem to have been swept when we arrived, but there was still a gritty feeling when we walked on them. They looked clean. I have a feeling that they probably need to be scrubbed to get all that grounded in sand cleaned up. 3) I am not sure what the code is in Florida about carbon monoxide detectors. I know in Illinois they are required. The smoke alarm in the unit appears to only be a smoke detector and an old one at that. You may want to replace that old alarm and replace it with both a smoke as well as carbon monoxide detector. Overall, still a 5 star review and we plan on coming back next year. Thanks Mike

We just enjoyed a great week at Sandy Shores 206. The condo was very nice, good seating, beds were comfortable. Beautiful beach view. The elevator a bit slow and the buttons did not always work or atleast did not light up. We would definitely stay here again.

Great beach access spot. Very clean condo with all amenities we could have needed. Even had beach chairs and towels! Clean / tidy.. and owners very responsive via text as we checked in an hour early and had a few questions along the way :). Will definitely stay here again in the future!

Our stay at Sandy Shores was great! The premises were clean, from the rooms to the pool, to the beach. The condo was fairly well stocked, we could have used dishwasher soap, but we purchased some. The location is prime-walking distance to John's Pass and the trolley stops. Thank you for a great stay!

My family and I had a beautiful time at Sandy Shores. It is a perfect location for the apartment itself. It was beautiful, clean and everything that we needed for our four night. Stay as for location is just perfect. We got a rental car although we really didn’t use it at all because everything is so conveniently right there you have the boardwalk right across the street and we had the most fun spending our time at the boardwalk and in between the beach and the pool at the resort, which was literally steps away, we will definitely be back. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much all the staff were very helpful and even gave us a roll of quarters to do laundry that would probably be the only thing I suggest them investing in as a change machine so that you can conveniently wash your laundry .

The condowas great. A really good location. However the customer service and check in details were a nightmare. The gentleman I spoke to was very rude. My family and I were supposed to check in at noon, and we didnt get into our room until 4. I was told I would be called when our room was ready, never recieved a call. Then when I called the gentleman back I was ignored and was then told I was impatient. We were late to wedding festivities and it was just a nightmare. The code was supposed to be ready at 1:30, never got a call. Then per the email confirmation our room code was good at 4. It was not. I called and called we didn't get into our room until 4:30/4:45. Very disappointed.

We are leaving a day early because of construction noise. I knew there would be some but not to extent it would wake us up at 8:30. My son and grandkids left 3 nights early because the mattress in guest needs to be upgraded. He is a large man and back was bothering him after 2 night. The beach was very nice. Have to stay the entire time unable to make other arrangements

This was our first time renting a condo instead of the standard hotel room. I didn't realize how much we were missing. For basically the same price we received a beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment furnished with everything we needed. I will definitely use Itrip on any future vacation plans.

The view from the condo was great as was the locationdirectly across from Johns Pass. The closets were huge and there were plenty of towels, beach chairs and beach toys. However, the condo was not clean. In the kitchen, dishes had been put away dirty and the ice bin (which doesnt work) had a black dirty substance in it. Also, a door under the kitchen cabinet was broken. The master bath had mold on the shower curtain. The comforter in the 2nd bedroom had brown stains. The key for the pool gate had a black greasy substance in it and ruined a white swim coverup as well as a white beach bag. With a good deep cleaning, this would be a fabulous condo!

We enjoyed our stay at 206 Sandy Shores. Special thanks to condo management who responded quickly and addressed issues brought to their attention. A safe was installed upon request and an issue with WIFI reception promptly brought about the installation of a WIFI extender, which solved the problem. The condo was clean, comfortable and conveniently located directly across from John's Pass, just steps from the beach. The balcony provided a relaxing spot from which to view the beautiful sunsets, dolphins and general beach activity. The condo was well equipped with updated appliances. Even though the pool area, directly adjacent to the beach, was pleasing and well stocked with loungers and chairs for the tiki hut shaded areas, we would suggest the addition of a hot tub. We look forward to a return visit at some point.

We loved this accommmodation which as just as it appeared from the iTrip website: light, airy and clean. We reported that the air conditioning in the Master bedroom was inefficient and maintenance attended without delay which helped. The swimming pool is good and we had a great view of the beach from our balcony. The beach itself is really nice and felt safe to walk along at night. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this apartment especially if you're looking for time to relax and chill out.

We had a wonderful time and it was also terrific that Johns Pass was directly across the street for activities. We enjoyed the beautiful beach and a day on the dolphin cruise and got lots of close up pictures. Everything was exactly as pictured

The condo was well kept and rooms seem to be large. Enjoyed the beach view from the balcony. Appliances were like new.They had beach toys for the kids to play with already in the unit although we brought ours from home not knowing this. Very nice location for going to Johns Pass. Would come back again and would recommend to anybody looking for a nice rental,

This was a great condo! It was right on the beach. It was clean and quiet during our stay. Everything we could have needed was supplied for us. The beach was never crowded. My family had a great time staying here. Already looking forward to coming back.

I will start with the good things about this unit. The location is excellent. Being across the street from John's Pass was awesome and we enjoyed all business there. The pool area and beach access was perfect. The pictures of the unit and it's accommodations were spot on too. Now the not so good. The furniture and some of the bedding smelled very musty. I wondered when the last time the unit was used. The master bedroom shower head was punishing as it sprayed tiny streams of water at a very high rate. It honestly hurt to take a shower. Luckily the second bathroom had a great shower head. The only problem with the second bathroom, is the first few times we turned the water on in the shower the drain back-flushed a bunch of black particles into the tub. Once the drain worked correctly everything was better. The two bathroom exhaust fans sounded horrible and need to be replaced.

My family and I spent the New Year holiday at 206 Sandy Shores. We will definitely come back! This condo was an absolute steal! Situated right on the beach with a large heated pool. The condo was exactly as it appeared in the photos...no wide angle photography! The master bedroom and shower are incredibly spacious. The unit was actually larger than I imagined. The building is secure with key pads and keys required to enter from any direction. The location is ideal! John's Pass shopping area directly across the street. A 3 minute walk to restaurants, bars, shopping and water sports. A short 30 minute drive from the Tampa area and airport. I will definitely recommend this rental to friends and family! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandy Shores. It was our first time and we found the location excellent for relaxation on the beach and if we wanted to take in some sights we only had to walk across the street. The unit was excellent for our family of 4 and was well maintained and clean. Grocery stores and shopping very close by. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Our stay was picture perfect. The condo was just as described. Extremely clean with well appointed furnishings and comfortable beds. The beach view was beautiful from the balcony and the beach itself was beautiful with crystal white sand. The condo was even larger than I had anticipated. Both bathrooms were perfect as well. I will definitely book this condo for my next visit to the Madiera Beach, John's Pass, Treasure Island area. The complex is directly across the street from all of the shopping and restaurants of John's Pass which is an added bonus.

My family and I travel to Florida to many destinations. The Sandy Shores location was very nice it was located across from the boardwalk and we did not use our rental car. We enjoyed the Conch house restaurant and The Hut had live music. This is a great area if you need to entertain teens and up. The balcony is on the side of the building,but you could still view the ocean.. 206 is highly recommended for all ages. The condo was updated,clean and spacious.
