You will truly enjoy your stay in this quintessential mountain condo just across the street from hiking trails on Aspen Mountain and 3 blocks to the heart of downtown Aspen's numerous shops, restaurants and nightlife. 700 Monarch is located in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood but yet is so convenient. After your adventurous day you can enjoy a quiet afternoon in front of a roaring fire in your wood burning fireplace or relaxing in the afternoon sun with your favorite beverage on the balcony. The fully stocked kitchen, dining table and comfortable sectional sofa make for a warm and inviting space to share time with your traveling companions. You can watch your favorite team, news channel or movie on the newly installed 75" flat screen TV. Ski trails and Shadow Mtn. Lift are just a short walk away.

The condo is all one level and is located 2 short flights of stairs, no elevator, up from the parking garage, making it easily accessible for multi-generational travelers. The views from the living area offer a relaxing glimpse of skiers or hikers enjoying Aspen Mountain. The condo has two bedrooms, each with one king bed. The king beds can be separated to become two twin beds with advance notice. One has an en-suite bath and the other a lovely little balcony. The third bedroom has two twin beds that can be made into a king upon request prior to your arrival. These flexible bedding arrangements make this vacation rental perfect for all groups of travelers - families, friends, couples will all enjoy sharing this charming condo.

Begin your day by venturing downtown for a relaxing breakfast or snack or hit the hiking trails just steps from the condo. During ski season walk over to lift 1 A (Shadow Mountain Lift) to start your ski day. This uncrowded lift offers great access to the amazing skiing on Aspen Mountain. At the end of the day you can ski down the ski way to right outside the 700 Monarch building (conditions permitting) and click out of your skis. The downtown restaurants and nightlife are just a couple blocks down the street.

*Early and late season Shadow Mountain lift access dependent upon snow conditions. Aspen Mountain Gondola is 3 blocks away.

  • Tenant agrees to leave the premises and its contents in the same condition as Tenant found the premises to be upon move-in, normal wear and tear expected. 
  • All dishes are to be washed and all garbage removed from the premises and placed in outside receptacles at check-out. If the home is left in an excessively unclean manner please note we will charge $50/hour for additional cleaning time needed after your departure.  
  • The maximum number of occupants shall not be exceeded. Occupancy exceeding the sleeping capacity, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises are grounds for eviction.
  • Check-in time is after 4pm, may be as late as 5 or 6pm in peak winter and summer season.  Check-out time is 10am.
  • No open flames are permitted on balconies or in the unit with the exception of fire contained within a wood burning fireplace. Do not dismantle smoke detectors. Use the overhead stove fan when cooking to avoid accidental activation of smoke detector alarm.
  • There is no daily maid service.  Additional maid service can be arranged for a fee. Please contact us in advance for pricing.  A starter supply of paper products is provided.  Any additional needed during your stay is your responsibility.
  • "No pets or emotional support animals" policy must be observed. If evidence of a pet(s) is found in the unit or on the premises you will be asked to vacate immediately with no refund of rent or damage deposit.
  • Smoking (cigarette and marijuana) is strictly prohibited inside the unit and on any outdoor patio or balcony. Your damage deposit will be forfeited or you will be charged a $1000 fee if you opted for damage insurance as smoking is not covered under the insurance.  You will incur an additional charge for carpet cleaning and deodorizing if any evidence of smoking is found.  This is also grounds for eviction.
  • Quiet hours are 10pm - 8am.  Any violations will result in a fine of at least $150.  Repeated violations are grounds for eviction.
  • If your vacation rental requires a parking permit for a vehicle, this pass must be left or returned per your rental instructions, or there will be a fine of $200 per missing pass.
  • Reservations are not made by or for a minor, defined as any person under the age of twenty-five (25). We require at least one member of the party to be 25 (twenty-five) years of age! Any violators will be evicted with forfeiture of all monies.
  • Owner or owner's agents may enter the premises in case of an emergency; to make any necessary or agreed upon repairs, alterations, or improvements; supply necessary or agreed upon services or show the premises to prospective purchasers, renters or contractors. Owner will provide renter with at least 24 hours notice of Owners intent to enter (except in the case of an emergency).
  • Please report any maintenance needs for the premises to us and we will respond as quickly as possible. Refunds will not be made for maintenance issues including, but not limited to heating and air conditioning, appliances, televisions, and stereos.
  • iTrip or the Owner, does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither does owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity or plumbing, as well as due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control.
  • Tenant hereby acknowledges that if the premises they have reserved includes a community pool and hot tub or private hot tub and the undersigned agrees and acknowledges that the community pool, hot tub and patio/deck can be dangerous areas, that the deck/patio can be slippery when wet, and that injury may occur to anyone who is not careful. With full knowledge of the above facts and warnings,Tenant accepts and assumes all risks involved to Tenant and all of Tenant's guests in or related to the use of the community pool, hot tub and patio areas.
  • Tenant, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Owner from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, and causes of action by reason of any injury, loss of damage by whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover any reasonable attorneys fees and costs. Owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement upon their discretion at any time.
  • Any violation of posted rules at property that incur a fine will be the responsibility of the tenant. Examples include access outside of pool and hot tub hours, improper disposal of trash, smoking, excessive noise, parking violations.  
  • By signing this agreement you agree that your rental is transient in nature and does not provide you with tenant rights.  Transient accommodations or “short term rentals” are also subject to applicable Colorado Sales, county and city taxes which are added as a part of your total payment. Should the laws change regarding applicable taxes, we will adjust your booking accordingly.  We are required by law to collect all applicable sales taxes.

Alan, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are disappointed to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. We take your comments seriously and will share your feedback regarding the upkeep of the exterior areas with the building manager. We understand the trash enclosure was left open and a bear entered spreading trash everywhere. That is not common however. Regarding the parking situation, we understand the frustration of having a larger vehicle not fit comfortably in the assigned space however we do include the parking dimensions in the listing and provide a complimentary on street permit for all guests whose vehicle is too large. While we appreciate feedback greatly, as it helps us improve, it is difficult to improve when very little is given to warrant a 2 star review. It is unfortunate you were not able to respond to my direct request for additional information so we could improve for future guests. We wish you all the best in your future travels. Great week in Aspen - World Cup races from the porch

The accommodations were superb. Clean and spacious for our family of 6. Great communication. Lift to Aspen Mountain was steps away. The bus for all other mountains were three blocks away. As an added bonus, we were able to watch the World Cup races from the back porch.

We were very impressed by the customer service of iTrip. We rented a Condo in Aspen in early October. A neighbor in our building lit a fire in their fireplace that smoked out our unit. Their property manager came by our unit late at night to help air it out and came by the next day to continue efforts. Ultimately, iTrip ended up moving us to a different unit while they worked to address the lingering smoke smell. Anytime we reached out, we got a response very quickly and they worked hard to address our issues. I would definitely rent with them again.

Fabulous condo and location

We have been going to Aspen every summer for many years, but we have never stayed in this building. We loved the condo! It was perfect for our family (we have 2 toddlers), and the location cannot be beat. The condo is updated, and the open layout for the kitchen, living room, and dining area is very functional. We also appreciated the large TV and view of Aspen mountain. Management was very responsive and even helped us with an early check-in, so that our youngest could get a nap. We will be back!

We enjoyed a wonderful spring break week at 700 Monarch. The place fit all our needs and was clean. The TV was a bonus to be able to watch March Madness on that big of a screen. Wonderful condo

Great location in any season. One block behind St. Regis and literally on the mountain- ski in accessible. Well stocked kitchen, including olive oil, seasonings etc, great washer/dryer in the hall, excellent Wi-Fi and smart tvs. Steam shower in master bath was a nice bonus. Beds are comfortable. Everything was in great working order. Very spacious condo for Aspen. Was one of the largest 3 bedrooms we have ever stayed in. Plenty of space to spread out. Garage was nice during the snow. Keep in mind there is no elevator and it’s on the 2nd floor which is the 3rd up from the street level. However the property manager can help assist with luggage. Our only complaint which is not the owner or property managers fault, is the unit is loud. We could hear the people above us, and they were early risers and late to sleep. We could hear their conversations, their music, their footsteps, when they flushed the toilet or took a shower, you can hear everything from the unit above. They do provide fans, that in hindsight, we should have used to block out the sound to all the bedrooms. But other than that, it’s a beautiful, updated condo, very spacious, with lots of amenities and fabulous location. Def recommend Itrip/Kim they are fantastic to work with and so helpful, and great at communicating! Will definitely stay with them again in the future.

Lovely Stay

I had originally booked another property and had to make a change at the last minute due to work being done on that property. The property management company was great to work with, not only in finding another property but also throughout the stay. They were quick to answer questions and were very helpful. The property had high-end appliances and the steam shower in the master bathroom was a treat. It was walkable to shops and restaurants and I loved not getting the car out (be forewarned there is a steep hill to climb from downtown back to the property). It was close to Maroon Bells and the location was quiet.

An Incredible Home Away from Home

We stayed in #201 for a long weekend stay. The unit is located in a perfect spot (if you’re walking note the hill is steep but great exercise, :-) ) and able to quickly walk to the center of Aspen. The home is beautiful and seems to be recently renovated. The bedrooms were comfy and the bathrooms were good. Each bedroom was very spacious, too. The main living area has enough comfortable seating and a huge TV for resting. We made breakfast every morning in the kitchen. There are supplies provided for anything needed to be made / cooked. Would recommend this unit and location 10/10. itrip was so helpful with whatever we needed and was always checking in on us to make sure our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. They were beyond accommodating when we arrived and when we departed. We had an incredible stay and hope to be back soon!!

We would have liked nicer pillows to sleep with. The guest room lamp has a burned out bulb. The trash can drawer in the kitchen was hard to find. The fireplace chimney needs to be cleaned and checked for the vent cap and the screen. The fireplace does not draw well. The screen around the fireplace needs to be replaced or repaired. Not enough toilet paper or paper towels. No locks on the bathroom or bedroom doors. Privacy and intimacy was a challenge. Now the positive feedback. Your response and customer services were excellent. Your team is very attentive and professional. Our transportation driver was double booked and Patrick in your team showed up at 6:30 am to pick up my son and his girlfriend for an airport run. You have a great team and I told VRBO that teaming with ITrip was a great collaboration. We would recommend this condo and Itrip to our friends.

Perfect Spot!

This vacation rental could not have been better. Located just steps from a lift there are gorgeous views out of most windows and downtown is a 5 minute walk. The living area is spacious and comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped and the bedrooms are all located on the opposite side of the house- great for privacy and sleeping (comfy beds too!). We also really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. Hosts are incredibly responsive and made sure our stay was perfect!

Perfect Stay in Aspen

We could not have been happier with the accommodations during our stay in Aspen. The location was incredibly convenient - 1/2 a block from the Shadow Mountain chair lift and 1-2 blocks to town. The inside of the condo was very well decorated and incredibly comfortable. Great view of the slopes from the living room! The WiFi worked very well for all 4 of us to work / school remotely. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. And the service from Kim and team was exceptional. We can’t wait to come back.

Awesome downtown location!

The condo has everything you need for cooking and relaxing but we spent most of our time downtown and the condo is a short distance, 5 min walk. If you stay away from downtown and have to drive there and try and park it’s a completely different experience so we felt it was worth the expense to be right where we wanted to be. Beds were comfortable and showers nice with extra sensitivity to Covid (hand sanitizer, disinfectant, clear instructions to follow for cleanliness).

We loved the location of this great condo. You can easily walk to downtown and lift 1A is right across the street. The condo was appointed with everything we need, we loved the oversized shampoo and conditioners - so much better than the small hotel bottles.
