The cabin was all we wanted it to be! It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the hot tub was used often and we were supplied plenty of towels for all of us for the whole week. We spent a lot of time on the back deck, it was beautiful out and we loved being so close to nature. Miss the sounds of crickets at night, we dont have them in Florida. The day after check in someone stopped by the cabin next to us to clean I am guessing. We asked the gentleman where to take our garbage, he ended up taking it for us. He was at the cabins at a later date as well and stopped by to see if we had more garbage to take down to the dumpster, what a great guy! The front burner on the stove did not work when we got there but my b/f is an appliance technician and was able to fix it pretty easily.

Our stay at the Townsend cabin was wonderful. The cabin was clean, quiet, and fully equipped to meet our every need. The location was excellent - off the beaten path but just minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park and close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Set back in the woods, the cabin had a picture window view of the mountains. The large deck across the back (with a hot tub) was the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening relaxation. The kitchen had everything we needed and two bedrooms provided plenty of space for the four of us. When we come back, we hope a cabin here will be available for us!

We arrived and we're very pleased. The cabin was very clean and in very good shape. The view wasn't the greatest but it did just fine as we did sight seeing most of the time anyway. We stayed 7 days with my wife and I and our 6 & 10 year old boys. Not a single complaint other than the Whirlpool tub was quite noisy. It was about 30-40 min to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge but we mainly stayed away from the ridiculous traffic other than a couple nights so the kids could ride some go carts. That's honestly the best part, go in to town if you want and once your tired of it go back to the cabin or explore Townsend or the National park away from all the city slickers looking for Myrtle Beach type attractions. It was only about 15-20 min to the entrance to Cade's Cove. Great place at a great price!

We loved this cabin it was exactly as pictured and described. It was close enough to everything but also far enough away. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels washcloths pillows etc. for our three night stay. We got to see a black bear on our last morning there. The hot tub was great, it was not overly chlorinated like some rental unit hot tubs where I have been in the past. The Jacuzzi tub was also awesome maybe a little loud, but large enough for two, and the temperature, pressure and supply of hot water was fantastic. We visited Cades Cove winery which was less than 10 miles away and they had a delicious selection of wines to choose from and free tasting. Pigeon Forge was only about a 15 to 20 minute drive and that puts you close to the end of pigeon forge toward Gatlinburg which is another 15-20 min of scenic driving. The IGA in Townsend was only about 4 miles away which made it very convenient for getting groceries in. We did have a small issue upon arrival and called the property manager Anna who solved our problem immediately. The refundable damage deposit was back in my account very quickly after departure. The only suggestion I have is if you're going to do a lot of cooking you might bring one nice large pan because theirs are small and worn, which is typical in my experience when renting cabins and condos that are frequently rented by novice cooks.

The cabin was awesome! The view from the cabin was fantastic! Everything was clean and in fabulous shape! My family and I enjoyed our stay so much and we plan to go back for sure! There was absolutely nothing wrong with this place! I highly advise it! The people who run it are some of the nicest people I've ever met as well. If you're wanting to stay in Townsend, this is the place for you. Also: I recommend doing the horse ride that they offer. It was the best view I saw of the mountains our entire trip.

Loved the cabin and the view--the view was excellent, and wasn't sure what, but, something visited the trash can each night! The wild Turkeys in the early morning was a very pleasant sound!! Towels and wash cloths were at a minimum, the cabin was, {I thought] to have a washer and dryer and dishwasher, but, did not! The hot tub was very dirty, but, maintenance came and quickly took care of it!! All in all, a pleasant stay, only too short!!

This cabin had some nice features: Large picture/viewing window at the dining table very nice. Porch/Deck was also nice, the view was good although trees cover some of the view. Living Rm. furniture was nice and comfortable, beds also. Not so nice features: We did not plan to cook so the "very" small kitchen did not bother us, however there is "no" counter space at all, none. The master bedroom only had a tub, since there was no shower we used the upstairs 2nd bedroom with connecting tub/shower combo, which was smaller. There was an envelope left in kitchen requesting us to leave a tip, which I did because the leaving cabin instructions stated I would be charged for items not left in there original place, I figured I was safer leaving a tip.

Loved our stay at the cabin. Our daughter, son in law and grandson joined us. Plenty of room. A few glitches at first, but the staff responded immediately and it was taken care of. Will definitely come back. Couple of tips, state there is no washer and dryer or wifi, at least in our cabin and need to replace pots and pans and add a colander. Also tell people to take trash to dumpster down at bottom of hill....after grilling out, that night a 500lb black bear visited us and trash went everywhere. Made for a great story though. Our daughter and son in law saw him, but no pics : (. We loved the view and enjoyed the hot tub. Loved seeing God's word written on signs. He created us and this beautiful land for us to see the display of His glory!

We just got back from staying in this cabin for 5 nights and 4 days and we absolutely loved it. The fact it is not in downtown Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge makes it great because you get to travel through the National Park to get to either one. Also, the staff is very nice and they even have a zipline on the mountain which my kids enjoyed very much!! Cabins were clean and warm, and of course the water is well water which we expected and didn't mind at all - we would love to come back next year and do it all over again! I would recommend this place to anyone - Thank You for a wonderful stay "Next to Heaven"

The place has a great location but we didn't get the cabin that was in the pictures. The view was nice but the place was dirty and the water was brown. In addition, the hot tub didn't have any water in it and it smelled bad. After we had been there a day someone came and put water in the hot tub but they disturbed us early in the morning. Even after they cleaned the hot tub it had a smell to it. The air conditioner did not work well and we had to put a fuse in it to make it work at all. The beds were uncomfortable and the bedding was dirty. I think it would be your best interest to correct these problems in the future if you would like to have customers.

We are sorry that you had this experience. We would like to start off by saying that this is the cabin that is featured in the property photos and that this cabin has an amazing view of Mt. Rich and surrounding Smoky Mountains. It is stated in our agreement and email communications that this cabin has well water, but it is not dirty. If the cabin has set for a long period of time the water can be murky upon first turning it on, but it clears quickly and has not been a problem in the past. In regards to the air conditioner and hot tub, we have no record of communication with you during your stay, nor have we received any correspondence since your departure. We were unaware that the hot tub had any problems, or that it was not filled upon arrival. We also have no knowledge of the problems with the air unit. We clearly state in our booking agreement and email to contact us immediately with any concerns and we leave you several contact numbers to do so. This lack of communication is unfortunate, as we really would have done our best to ensure that you were happy with your accommodations. We would have been more than happy to move you to another cabin, or do our best to fix the problems that you were experiencing. Our guests comfort and happiness is our TOP PRIORITY. It has been our experience that when our guests communicate their concerns with us, more times than not, positive resolve can take place and frustrations can be eliminated. Communication is key and can make the difference between a bad vacation and a good one. We have a great team and we love our guests. Our guests are the reason why we are here and our reputation is of utmost importance to us. Again, we are sorry for your experience. We encourage you to contact us with any additional concerns. When I first started to plan my trip to the Smokey Mountains I panicked because I was finding cabins around $300 and night, which was out of my price range. I was delighted when I found the Next to Heaven cabins but then days before we left I started to panic again wondering why it was so much cheaper. The cabins are only 25 miles outside of Knoxville and less than 20 miles from both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin was secluded but accessible. The road up to the cabin is quite steep and since we got in at night, I was a little shocked to see what I had drove the next morning, maybe it was better that way. When we had an issue with the kitchen sink it was resolved quickly. We never did get the internet to work but I wasn't really concerned, I figured we were better off without it. We used the kitchen heavily and it worked just fine, limited counter space but decently equipped. We used the hot tub nearly every night. Out of the four Next to Heaven Cabins I feel like #4 Rich Mountain View was the most private. We had two cabins above us and one on each side but none blocking our views or any that could see in our balcony or windows. Right down the hill is horse back riding and zipline facilities and we did do both. It made for a nice day. Also right down the road was River Rat Tubing which was my favorite part of my trip. The only reason why I didn't give the cabin five stars is because there is only one shower. The other bathroom had a jacuzzi tub which did no good for two adults and two teenage girls, I could see it being nice for a romantic trip but for a girl's weekend it was taxing to share one shower. I would book this cabin again, without a doubt!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our property and share your experience with us and other travelers. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. We think it is great that you were able to take advantage of the stables, ziplines and tubing on the river during your stay. We really like being able to offer these amenities! We will be discussing the shower situation with our team, but may choose to leave it as is for now as so many folks like to have that jetted tub in the master bath. We look forward to your return visit! Thank you again! Sincerely, Summit 54 Properties, iTrip Team
