Welcome to Broom & Board. As you enter through the antique front door, you are greeted by a vestibule that cherishes history while celebrating modern conveniences.

Climb the stairway to your private entrance on the 2nd floor with keyless entry! Enter into a seating and dining area with a big screen smart TV sitting on a super sleek TV console.

The chef will love the stainless steel appliances, french-door fridge, the 5-burner gas range, the plethora of spices, and bar seating overlooking the cooking center. It's like you're on stage - showcasing your culinary talents. Or ... you can get everyone involved ... there's plenty of space for the whole crew to help prepare the meals. Either way - it's a joy to cook in this kitchen. As you look around, savor the custom design elements - hand burnished walnut shelves, sleek stylish lighting, and more - welcome to a designer's kitchen.

The 2nd floor sports 2 of the 4 bedrooms and 1 of the 2 full baths as well as the laundry facilities.

Ascend the back stairway to the 3rd floor with a great living room - 2 seating areas. One with a sectional sofa and 2 chairs and another big screen smart TV. Bean bag chairs for gaming or classic seating to watch your favorite shows.

Behind the TV, is a kitchette/wet bar, with mini fridge, microwave, and more. Also, a private work space with desk.

2 more bedrooms and the other full bathroom.

As you can see Broom & Board is gorgeously appointed; yet, it's location is even more spectacular. At Broom & Board, you enjoy the peacefulness of a quiet side street, and still you are mere moments from all the hubbub of Salem: many of the attractions and the center of Haunted Happenings are just a couple blocks away. An added treat! There's a sweet neighborhood beach just 5 minutes away. Broom & Board is a short walk to Salem Willows: enjoy the huge city pier to swim, grab a lobster roll or fried clams, ride the bumper cars, or just relax by the sea. City or sea - it's all a short walk from Broom & Board.

The city is home to the House of the Seven Gables, Salem State University, the headquarters of Salem Willows Park, Pioneer Village, Salem Maritime National Historic Site, and the Peabody Essex Museum. It also features two historic residential neighborhoods, the Federal Street District and the Charter Street Historic District. Salem is a residential and tourist area which includes the neighborhoods of Salem Neck, Downtown Salem District, The Point, South Salem and North Salem, Witchcraft Heights, Pickering Wharf, and the McIntire Historic District (named after Salem's famous architect and carver Samuel McIntire).

Great house for a family gathering. Nice accommodations. It just needed better pillows and more than one pillow per person.

The house was spacious and had several different areas for people to hang out separately doing different things and then come together. Well kept and quiet. Convenient to town and beach.

My retreat group and I just loved Broom & Board! It was perfect for the 9 of us and we had plenty of space. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful and the 15 min walk to the center of town was so lovely and simple. Would definitely go back and use this house again.

This home was perfect for our family (6 people between the ages of 18-57 years old.) We all had our own space plus great common areas for everyone to have family time together! Great location within walking distance to downtime. Comfortable beds and everything was very clean, we loved it!

First off, let me say, these were the most comfortable beds I have EVER slept in! Now, the outside of the house is not much to look at but once you open the doors, the whole house was beautiful, comfortable, and chic! When you book you have access to the second and third floors of the building, which was nice because we felt it really distanced us from the neighbors below. We loved that there was a second living room upstairs on the third floor! There was plenty of street parking and the house is conveniently located near downtown Salem. The Salem Witch Museum is only an 8 minute walk away, and the rest of the town is about 12- 15 minutes. We loved everything about this place and would book it again the next time we are in Salem.

Broom & Board
4/5 stars
The house was lovely with four bedrooms and two full baths, hard to find in a location within walking distance of a quaint downtown and public transportation. The loft area with the smart tv and comfy couch set up was perfect for lounging. Kitchen equipped with everything needed to eat in!I would suggest that more rolls of toilet paper, and paper towels (2 of each that were already opened for previous use just wasnt enough for 5 days, 7 people.and boxed bathroom soap and at least one dishwasher tablet for every day you are there.be included. Just inconvenient when you run out of these. Also there was no broom or vacuum on premise so I wound up havingto get one of both. These suggestions are an easy fix that would make this a 5 Star review.

Liann is a gracious host. Her home was fully stocked with everything making the experience very convenient. Clean fresh sheets and towels. The kitchen is beautiful and is fully stocked with coffee, complimentary cookies and wine and bottled water. All we needed to do was buy cream for the coffee. I would highly recommend this house!!
