Everything the Ocean Lakes vacation resort has to offer is just a short walk or golf cart ride away from this central location. Miniature golf, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the Sandy Harbor family fun center, cafe and convenience store are all nearby. The beach and more recreation facilities are just a bit further. This spotless two bedroom, two bath house has it all: complimentary golf cart, brand new (2020) gas grill AND charcoal grill, excellent decorating/furnishings, private/secure wi-fi and parking space for two cars (daily parking paid directly to Ocean Lakes).

The fresh and clean kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a ceramic top range and refrigerator with ice dispenser in the door. There is a full complement of cookware, utensils, dishes, glasses and tableware. There is a dining table and breakfast bar.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and flat screen TV. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and TV, with adjacent bathroom. The sofa in the living room folds out to a queen size bed. There is a washer and dryer in the house.

When you're ready to enjoy the beach, the pools, or other amenities in Ocean Lakes, you won't have to walk. There is a golf cart at the house that can be used at no additional charge. Golf cart operator must be over 21 and have a valid driver's license. Guests must agree to follow Ocean Lakes golf cart rules and if a violation occurs there will be a $1,500 fine assessed.

Ocean Lakes is a complete vacation destination. The Sandy Harbor family fun center has the "Splash Zone" water park and game center that kids always love. The Nature Center can provide learning during vacation. There are several playgrounds near the beach, an Olympic size outdoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool for year round enjoyment, a convenience store, Sandy's Meet and Eat restaurant, the Sandy Harbor cafe, and the "snack shack" to grab a bite. Ocean Lakes charges $12 per vehicle per day for admission and parking per car if pass is purchased 10 days in advance, $15 per day if not. This. must be paid directly to Ocean Lakes.

Ocean Lakes is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. Just a short drive north are all the attractions and shopping of Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it's just a few minutes south.

And, not only that, there is a beach!

In most cases, no.  If you find beach chairs or other beach items in the property, you are welcome to use them.  However, most owners advise that their beach chairs were left on the beach too often.  
Pets are not permitted at many of our properties.  In most cases, HOA rules prohibited guests from bringing pets, even though owners are permitted to.  We have a few properties where we can consider allowing a small dog - NO cats.  The dog must be at least a year old, and weigh less than 30 pounds (two properties are limited to 20 pound dogs).  These are clearly marked "allows pets" and a non-refundable rent surcharge of $200 ($300 for two small dogs) is required.  Please contact us with information about your dog before booking a reservation - at which time we can approve your dog, add the animal surcharge to your reservation and collect said surcharge if you booked the property through a 3rd party affiliate.

 
Cancellation refunds are only made after (and if) the period is re-rented, less a $100 cancellation fee.  If you are concerned about needing to cancel please consider travel insurance; it covers cancellation for a wide range of reasons, along with many additional benefits.  
Our check-in time is 4pm at our office. Approval for a late check in will be granted in EXTREMELY RARE CIRCUMSTANCES. If one is granted, the renter must return to the check-in office the following day before 2pm to complete the check-in process.  This includes the renter showing ID to confirm identity and that he/she meets the minimum age requirement. There will be a $100 charge if this is not completed.
The person renting any property must be 25 or older, have a valid credit card, and be present throughout the rental period.  The renter will be responsible for the actions of and damage caused by everyone in the group.  Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of reservation deposit, damage deposit, and/or balance of rental payment.
WiFi internet access is provided in all of our properties.  Security and connection speed vary widely.  The HOA systems typically do not require a password.  If you have important business or financial matters to transact, consider bringing a mobile WiFi connection device of your own.  Connection speeds may not be fast enough to support streaming movies, music or video games.  
Parking is limited at all oceanfront condominium complexes.  We can only provide the number of parking passes the HOA rules permit.  In most cases, no more than two parking passes can be provided.  We are limited to one parking pass per unit at Horizon East, Afterdeck, and for one and two bedroom units at Waters Edge.  

There aren't any free public parking lots near the beach.  Surfside Beach has some metered parking along Ocean Boulevard and some lots.  

The rental includes the parking passes available, but does not guarantee the availability of parking space.  Parking is managed by the property manager, we have no control over the parking lot or parking space.  
For violation of any of the proceeding rules, tenant and all other occupants will be evicted according to South Carolina law with forfeiture of all monies.  In addition, outside of Airbnb rules and restrictions, all guests agree to the iTrip Vacations Myrtle Beach South Rental Agreement.
  • The reservation must be in the name of someone who is at least 25 years old. This person must also be in the rental the entire length of the stay. Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of all monies paid.
  • Check-in is 4pm at our office. Approval for a late check in will be granted if notified in advance. If one is granted, the renter must return to the office next day to complete the check-in process.  This includes renter showing ID to confirm minimum age requirement. There will be a $100 charge if this is not completed. 
  • PLEASE NOTE: if you are booking on Airbnb: Airbnb puts the Admin Fee, Limited Damage Waiver Fee, Cleaning & Linen Fee all together and calls it the CLEANING FEE. That's why the cleaning fee appears to be high but it is not that high. We hope this helps.
  • We do not rent to house parties and/or groups including, but not limited to, fraternity/sorority, graduation, or spring break.  
  • If evidence of a pet(s) is found in the unit or on the premises and your rental does not include advance permission and pet fee, you will be required to vacate immediately with no refund.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the properties. 
  • Each property's max occupancy is stated in the rental agreement and is located in the property's description.
  • No barbeque grills of any kind are permitted on balconies or inside the unit. No open flames, ie. candles, are permitted on balconies or in the unit.
  • There is no daily maid service. Linens and towels are included and are not to be taken from the unit. Additional cleaning fees will be due in the event that cleaning involves the removal of excessive sand, trash or other unusual conditions.
  • No compensation will be given for temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, cable, or internet service. Outages should be reported immediately and all efforts will be made to have them restored as soon as possible.
  • Tenant agrees to leave the premises and its contents in the same neat and tidy condition as Tenant found the premises to be upon move-in.
  • Tenant agrees to abide by the rules of the HOA applicable to the property. Violations that result in expense, fines or limitation of the rights of the owner will be charged to the Tenant's credit card.
  • Owner or owner's agents may enter the premises under the following circumstances: In case of an emergency; to make any necessary or agreed upon repairs, alterations, or improvements; or to supply necessary or agreed upon services or show the premises to prospective purchasers, renters or contractors. Owner will provide renter with at least 24 hours' notice of owners intent to enter (except in the case of an emergency). Pest control personnel must be admitted (refusal is not permitted).
  • We supply the number of parking hangtags or other credentials permitted by property manager or Home Owners Association rules at each complex.  We cannot control parking, and cannot guarantee the availablity of parking space at any particular time.  This rental includes parking credentials, but not parking space.  Parking at Horizon East, Cape Coddages One and Afterdeck is limited to one vehicle per unit during the summer months.  No boats, jet skis, trailers, golf carts or RVs at any property unless specifically permitted.
  • Furnishings are not to be removed from the premises for use outside or in other properties.
  • Neither iTrip nor the Owner assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither does Owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity or plumbing, weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control.
  • Tenant hereby acknowledges that the premises they have reserved may include a community pool and the undersigned agrees and acknowledges that the community pool and patio/deck can be dangerous areas, that the deck/patio can be slippery when wet, and that injury may occur to anyone who is not careful. With full knowledge of the above facts and warnings, the undersigned Tenant accepts and assumes all risks involved to Tenant and all of Tenant's guests in or related to the use of the community pool and patio areas.
Surfside Beach City ordinance prohibits dogs on the beach between May 15 and September 15. South Shores HOA will CONSIDER small dogs to accompany tenants between LABOR DAY and MEMORIAL DAY. They are NOT permitted during the peak summer months which are June, July and August. There is a maximum of two(2) dogs considered and each must be under 30lb. There is a $200 charge for the first and $300 for two. You MUST have your pet approved by iTrip Vacations Myrtle Beach South in order for them to stay in any of our properties. Tenant MUST contact us with age, weight and breed via email- at which time we will approve or deny stay request.  If stay is approved the pet fee will be added to your reservation and must be paid before arrival. If stay is denied the pet may NOT enter our property at any time!

Home is very spacious! Everything was clean and ready to go. Only issue would be a different form of shade on the porch in the evenings. The umbrella wasn't very good at blocking the sun(need a solid form of material). Overall loved the stay!!!

It was the perfect place to come back to after being at the ocean & shopping. You felt like it was home, kitchen was stocked with dishes, coffee pot etc.. I loved that the 2 bedrooms each had there own bathroom. There was a tv in each bedroom also.The front porch was my hang out it had a grill & a table with chairs and umbrella. The golf cart was absolutely a blast & so very nice to get around the campground. I definitely recommend staying here. The house was tastefully decorated in nautical theme. Also had a washer & dryer love that! All in all a very pleasant experience. Would stay there again!

We love this home. We have stayed here 4 years straight. The house is located on the main road going into the campground. Looking to next summer, I feel I need to find a different place. The sofa ,which has a bed, has gotten uncomfortable to sit on. The cushions are sagging and look nothing compared to the love seat. A good thing about staying in the same place is you know what to expect. I know to take a baking sheet/pizza pan because we could never find something to use in the oven. To the owner, thank you for sharing this great house with others. I had the pleasure of meeting you twice and know you take care of this home as you drive in to check up on it.

We are having a great time and really like this home. Great location, very clean and modern, very comfortable. We love coming back to it throughout the day. Nicely decorated. Has almost everything we needed. Golf cart was clean and worked great. Love the big front deck porch and six person table and chairs. Ate breakfast and dinner there almost every night. Very spacious. Will definitely try to stay here again!

This was our second time staying in this house The ad on this house said newly decorated nothing had changed from the year before the living room has the most uncomfortable furniture in it I think the rent was high for that time of the year the television was awful was awful we will not rent this house again

Hey Elmer - we were sorry to see you won't be returning next year! We always try to make our guests feel as "at home" as possible - but as I'm sure you're aware, we can't please all tastes (what one tenant may LOVE is something another may despise). I also think you may have had our listing confused with another - as our property description has not read "newly decorated" since the year it was put on the market. It states "beautifully decorated" and in our opinion this is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL home! I'm not sure what the issue was with the TV as we did not receive a call from you that anything was wrong - and always HIGHLY urge our clients to call if they experience ANY problem during their trip. I wish we would have had the opportunity to make things "right" for you and hope that you will give us another try in the future!!!

Our family just returned from a stay in Ocean Lakes at N106. We would definitely rent this house again and are actually trying to find a week next summer when we can stay and this house is available. The review lost a star because when we arrived the floors and the area rugs were absolutely filthy. We tried washing them ourselves with the limited cleaning supplies but could not get the greasy black stuff off of the floors. The rest of the house was clean, we think something must have happened before we arrived that laid down such a black greasy layer of stuff. The cleaning company did come out to re-clean the floors and the person truly cleaned but our feet and socks continued to be covered in black stuff for a couple of days until it wore off or was picked up by our feet. With all that being said about the floors we still enjoyed our stay at this house. Below is a list of things we liked and some information for future renters. Likes Golf cart was included Deck Deck table and chairs Grill was provided and an extra propane tank was on site in case you needed it The house and decor was updated Updated kitchen appliance Large kitchen/eat in area Two bathrooms Washer and Dryer in the house Close proximity to activities 3 TVs Linens are provided. Dislike (only one) There was no working outdoor shower, foot wash, or hose. There was an outdoor shower and foot wash but the water was turned off. Info for future renters The house does not include very much cookware. If you like to cook each day you may want to bring some of your favorite cookware. You can make the existing cookware work as we did. The coffee pot makes just OK coffee. If you are more particular about coffee, you may want to bring your own. The toaster will not fit a bagel. We like bagels each day so we just flattened them so they would fit in the toaster. You may want extra kitchen towels and pot holders, one of each was provided.

The house I rented at Ocean Lakes was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay there. It was nice not having to being all of our own linens. However, I wouldn't rent it again only because I did not have the best experience dealing with Dave from Itrip. I had a couple of issues and I feel he was rude and doesn't possess the best customer service skills. Also, when we got to ocean lakes we were missing some papers in our packet from itrip. The owner of the house actually stopped by to apologize and said he has had this issue before. In my opinion the rental property would be easier to rent if it were rented through ocean lakes or the owner himself.

Two specific issues are omitted from this review, these probably involve the customer service skills said to be lacking. First involves a new procedure we've had to add recently. A recent guest allowed a child to operate the golf cart provided with one of our Ocean Lakes properties. The Ocean Lakes patrol stopped the girl, and wroter her a citation. The fine was $100, which that guest paid. But, the real penalty is that if there is a second citation issued, that owner will no longer be permitted to provide a golf cart to guests, in addition to a $500 fine. To reassure the owners, we instituted a new procedure where we require guests to acknowledge the rules, and agree to be charged $1,000 if they receive a citation for misuse of the golf cart. If those terms are not agreed to, the golf cart is not provided. This guest objected to the requirement, even though the reasons were fully explained in the email. It was made clear to her, by email, that the golf cart keys would not be provided if the email was not returned with agreement. She did not find that good customer service, I suspect. The next issue arose when she did not return both of the keys that were provided. The normal procedure here is to have the lock re-keyed. The booking agreement, which this guest signed, states a $100 penalty for failing to return keys, this is to cover the cost of having the door re-keyed. When the missing key was reported, I contacted the owner to be sure he wanted the door re-keyed before charging the guest. He replied that he wanted it done as soon as possible. I charged the guest the $100. The locksmith had the door re-keyed about an hour later. When the guest saw the credit card receipt for the charge, she emailed to say that she had the key in her glove box, and asked if she could just mail it back. By this time, the lock had been changed, and the expense incurred. Had we heard from her sooner, before the work was done, we would have allowed her to mail back the key to avoid the charge. As it ended up, all we could say is "sorry you didn't turn the key in". All of the communication referred to above was in writing, via email. This guest apparently doesn't think rules should apply to her, and if they are, it's bad customer service.

Had a wonderful week in this home. Very clean and spacious. The pictures doesn't do it justice. In the middle of campground so everything was easy access. The rental company was easy to deal with and had a wonderful experience. The golf cart was also nice to get around the campground. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were as well. We will look forward to staying again. Thanks for a great time.

My parents, my husband and myself stayed in this house for a week. It was neat, clean and the perfect size for the four of us! The porch was great for our morning coffee and visiting with our early rising friends. The kitchen was great as we cooked something most nights to join other friends for dinner. We will definitely keep this home away from home in mind for our next stay at Ocean Lakes!

The house was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.Loved cooking on nice grill and sitting on deck watching the golf carts pass by.Parking is kinda tricky not alot of room..Loved that the golf cart was included in the price..The cart was a hit with our 6 year old..Was first time at ocean lakes and we will return.
