This oceanfront cottage is located on the beautiful West End of Oak Island and when you get to Middleton Street, you know you’re in the Final Stretch to relax at your beachfront cottage.
One of the charms of this oceanfront cottage is its vintage feel. Sliding glass doors in the living area give you the oceanfront view you dreamed of. With lots of seating in the living area, it’s the relaxing spot to watch the waves. Dining is for 6 at the table in the open kitchen. Bring your favorite games or puzzles.
The primary bedroom has a queen-sized bed & an ensuite bathroom with a combination tub and shower. In this bedroom you are also treated to a sliding glass door with a private entrance to the deck & views of the Atlantic Ocean. Relax in bed watching tv while you wind down from the day. Open the door, breathe in the salt air & listen to the song of the crashing waves as you drift off to sleep. The two guest bedrooms are equipped with a full-sized bed and share a bathroom with a shower. Each bedroom conveniently has a closet to unpack your suitcase. Linens & plush towels are complimentary.
Oak Island is a little unique on the East Coast because it has a South-facing beach. Open the sliding glass doors to greet the day & sit on the deck with your morning coffee. Look to the East & watch the sunrise over the water. Then in the evening, with a glass of your favorite beverage,watch the sunset in the West. Bring your camera for these often-spectacular views. Keep an eye out for dolphins which regularly play in our local waters. You may see area fishing & shrimp boats cruise by in search of their catch. Turtle nesting season is a favorite on Oak Island.
The Sunset Slushie Cart habitually wheels by on the beach to cool you off during the heat of the day. It’s as welcome as the musical sound of an Ice Cream Truck. Rinse off the salt & sand using the outdoor shower on the deck before you head inside at the end of a fun day in the sun.
One of the benefits of an oceanfront cottage is that you don’t have to find a parking spot at a beach access; you’re already there! After a long drive, coming into the Final Stretch to start your vacation is always what excites those coming to this sunny yellow cottage.
