Welcome to Lake Zoar's Magical Lakeside Cottage, a peaceful retreat nestled on the shores of Lake Zoar.

A serene retreat where you’ll want to settle in and stay put, surrounded by the calming beauty of the lake.

Make your descent from the street to the cottage, where you are rewarded with a cozy, lakeside oasis perfect for relaxation. Perched just above the water with gorgeous lake views and a constant, calming breeze, this cozy, couples-friendly hideaway is all about unplugging and unwinding. Enjoy multiple outdoor lounging spots, stroll through the grassy yard to the dock for swimming or boating, and let the magic of the lake settle in.

Inside this intimate home you will find everything you need. The main level offers a charming eat-in kitchen, a peaceful bedroom, and a bathroom, all with stunning lake views. A charming, yet narrow spiral staircase adds to the cottage’s cozy charm, but it’s not the easiest to navigate for everyone. (You can avoid it by going out the front door and around to the lower level—just keep in mind that means stepping outside.) The lower level, accessed by a narrow spiral staircase, features a quaint seating area, laundry, and an additional bedroom with a walk-out patio. With its modern amenities and tranquil surroundings, Magical Lakeside Cottage is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the lake.

Important to Know Before Booking... This peaceful lakeside escape offers stunning views and a tranquil setting, but please be aware that access requires a bit of a workout. There is a 66-step descent (and climb back up) between the parking area and the house. From the house to the yard, there are approximately 50 additional steps. To access the dock, you’ll go down another 22+ steps from the yard. That’s over 130 steps in total, not including any moving around the property.

This home is best suited for guests who are comfortable with stairs and do not have mobility limitations.

If you're up for it, the views and lake access are worth it!

MAIN FLOOR

Kitchen: A fully equipped kitchen perfect for preparing gourmet meals or simply ordering in.

Full Bath: A spacious and updated bathroom featuring a full tub and shower.

Queen-Sized Bedroom: A cozy bedroom offering just enough space for a restful night’s sleep, complete with a smart TV, hanging space, and a luggage rack.

Dining Area: A charming dining space with seating for 4, conveniently adjacent to the kitchen, perfect for enjoying meals with lake views.

Deck: Step outside onto the deck (from kitchen/dining) and take in breathtaking lake views, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the serene surroundings.

LOWER LEVEL

Access: The lower level is accessible via a narrow spiral staircase (please note, this is the only way to access the lower level unless you go outside).

Living Space: A cozy living area with a comfortable couch and a smart TV, perfect for unwinding after a day of lake activities.

Queen-Sized Bedroom: A second bedroom featuring a queen-sized bed, dresser, and smart TV.

Laundry Room: A full-sized washer and dryer for added convenience during your stay.

Covered Patio: Step out onto the covered patio, where Adirondack chairs offer a peaceful spot to sit and take in the view of the yard and lake.

OUTDOOR SPACE:

Multiple seating areas for your choosing.

Upper level dining area with fire table, BBQ grill, high over the lake.

Lower level seating area with bistro table and adironack chairs overlooking lake.

Yard level, Adirondack chairs and fire pit.

Dock level, seating, fire pit, access to the water.

No diving off of dock, approximately 4' deep directly off of dock.

Can dock your boat or take one of the two kayaks out on the lake. We can provide you with information on where to access the water if you are bringing a boat.

This layout ensures that guests enjoy both comfort and privacy while being surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the lake.

REMINDER: Two important details to be aware of before booking.

1. Steep descent to the property from the road/parking. Once you get to the house and inside you will forget about that part of the journey.

2. Inside the cottage, a narrow spiral staircase connects the two levels. It adds to the cozy charm of the space, but it can be a bit tight and may not be ideal for everyone. Guests can also access the lower level by going outside and using the back entrance if preferred.

3. All pets must be approved.

Plan on packing light and letting your worries get washed away by the lake breeze. Come and stay awhile... we can't wait to host you.

ITEMS LEFT ON PROPERTY
Any items left that a guest wishes to be returned and shipped will incur a fee. 

 

AUTHORIZED PETS ONLY

Pets are allowed with prior authorization; guests must inform us of any pets before arrival.  An additional pet fee of $20 per approved pet per day applies after booking (rates negotiable for stays longer than 5 days).  Pets are not permitted on furniture or beds.  Pets must never be left alone in the home unless crated.  Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.  A min. charge for $250 will be applied to bookings with unauthorized pets.

 
FAMILY RENTAL ONLY
We require at least one party member to be 25 (twenty-five) years of age! 

FALSIFIED RESERVATION
Any reservation obtained under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of the reservation deposit, damage deposit, and/or balance of rental payment.

 

GUEST IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED
Guests may be asked to complete a Clear ID verification before check-in. If this is not completed, an entry code will not be provided and the reservation will be subject to cancellation.

UTILITIES
No compensation will be given for the temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, cable, or telephone service. Outages will be reported immediately, and all efforts will be made to restore them as soon as possible. 

NONSMOKING UNIT
Smoking is strictly prohibited. Your damage deposit will be forfeited and you will incur an additional charge for carpet cleaning and deodorizing if any evidence of smoking is found.

NO PARTIES or ILLEGAL ACTIVITY

ENTRY BY OWNER
 
Owner or owner's agents may enter the premises under the following circumstances: in case of an emergency; to make any necessary or agreed-upon repairs, alterations, or improvements; supply necessary or agreed-upon services or show the premises to prospective purchasers, renters, or contractors. The owner will provide the renter with at least 24 hours' notice of the Owner's intent to enter (except in the case of an emergency).

SLEEPING CAPACITY/DISTURBANCES 
The maximum number of guests allowed is 4.  Violations of our noise or the maximum number of guests agreed to at the time of booking will result in possible fines or immediate eviction with all loss of all rent. Depending on the severity of a noise situation, we may call and issue a warning or proceed with a $300 fine. If we cannot reach the guest who booked the property, someone will show up to, at a minimum, issue a $300 fine and/or evict the entire group immediately. Any delay will result in us involving the authorities and trespassing every person on the property as well as the loss of all rent. Additional fines or damages may be assessed after removal. 

PARKING
There is parking for 3 cars.  There is NO street parking.  Guests MUST PARK IN the provided spaces.

HOLD HARMLESS 
iTrip or the Owner does not assume liability for loss, damage, or injury to persons or personal property. Neither does the owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss, or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in the supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity, or plumbing, as well as due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control.

MAINTENANCE
Report any maintenance needs for the premises to us, and we will respond as quickly as possible. Refunds will not be made for maintenance issues including, but not limited to, heating and air conditioning, appliances, televisions, and stereos.

LINENS/TOWELS/SUPPLIES
Any lost or damaged linens will be deducted from your deposit or automatically billed to the card you used. We recommend that you bring any special items that you may need.

SECURITY CAMERAS

There is a security camera located at the front door, facing away from the house. Its purpose is to monitor the area near the lower stairs, where parking is strictly prohibited.  That space is not part of the property, and any vehicles parked there are subject to immediate towing at the owner’s expense.  Camera does not face any of the common outdoor living spaces.  There are no cameras inside the home.

FIREPITS
The fire pits are available for guest use at their discretion.  Guest must provide their own firewood; none is provided.  Fires must be attended to at all times and extinguished when no longer in use.

LAKE

Swimming in the lake is permitted, but please note that it is entirely at your own risk.  We ask all guests to exercise caution and be responsible for their own safety while enjoying the water.  By choosing to swim, you acknowledge that you are doing so voluntarily and at your own risk.  If you use any paddleboards, kayaks, or lifejackets, please return them to their original location after use so they’re ready for the next guest.


ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The undersigned Tenant, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Owner from any liabilities, claims, demands, and causes of action because of any injury, loss, or damage by whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising therefrom. In any action concerning the rights, duties, or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors, or assignees, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover any reasonable attorneys' fees and costs. Owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement at their discretion at any time.
