The living room and outdoor patio are separated from moving glass doors that can be hidden inside of the wall to create a wide-open space that the entire family can use to enjoy the cool ocean breezes. The living room has a large flatscreen TV so you can keep up with the game or the news. Just a few steps from the main living area, the kitchen serves as a central meeting point - which is fully stocked with cooking/dining gear and top of the line appliances. You can choose to cook your meal on the outdoor grill or in the gourmet kitchen!
The main countertop serves as both prep and dining space. You'll be sure to enjoy the kitchen if you decide to eat in and make a great meal during your vacation.
As you continue through the house, there are private laundry facilities are conveniently located in the hallway that lead to the sleeping and bathroom quarters. The master bedroom has a King bed and private bathroom with a shower. There is also a large flatscreen TV located in the master bedroom.
The second bedroom has a comfortable queen bed. A closet with ample space for clothes. The hallway bathroom has a shower/tub combo.
To fulfill the sleeping arrangements for 6 total guests, please consider that the pullout living room sofa is a full size bed, best suited for 2 children or 1 adult.
Air Conditioning: this property offers optional AC at the cost of $12.50 per day. During the warm months (June-September), some guest may want AC. We realize some guest do not want AC and we find it best to give them the option of not paying for its use.
PARKING: 1-car parking in the shared garage with rear alley access - right side only; it is partially subterranean; compact to mid-size vehicles only. The garage slope is steep, please park on the slope. Garage dimensions, 94"H x 169"W. General neighborhood street parking (metered or unmetered) also in area.

Locals know the three-mile-long stretch with the harbor on one side and broad, sandy California beaches on the other as “the Peninsula.” The Balboa Peninsula features the original Ruby’s Diner and a view of a shoreline, surfers, and sunbathers spanning for miles. A walk straight down Main Street brings you to the historic Balboa Pavilion, made famous in the 30s and 40s for being the home of Big Band era legends Count Basie and Benny Goodman.
The Balboa Peninsula is home to many sit down restaurants and quick food stops for people hitting the sand for a day at Balboa Beach, and the variety of bars and live music makes the Peninsula a regional nightlife destination. Some of the places locals hang out for good seafood and a casual fun atmosphere are the Crab Cooker and Woody’s Wharf. Anglers can bring home dinner from one of the sportfishing vessels and whale watching enthusiasts can see some of nature’s most beautiful creatures up close, as Balboa Peninsula rentals and adventure boats launch early and often. But a trip to the Peninsula wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Balboa Fun Zone, where the Ferris wheel has stood for more than 80 years, and the world famous Balboa Island Ferry.

Paolo — Thank you for the nice review and we appreciate your stay. You are right, the garage is steep and I would not want to park a manual transmission in the garage, but it’s easy to park an automatic in the garage. For our future guests, you CAN block that garage at any time as that is a legal space. LIke all densely populated areas, parking is a challenge, but we always make sure our guests have a space!

Teresa, thanks for the kind words about the property. I like your suggestions about adding some hooks in the bathrooms. Even though there are towel racks that can be used, sometimes a little extra space is needed. We will be adding some additional hooks in the next couple of days for future guests.
