Escape to Treehouse Hideaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains inside Wolf Laurel Resort in Mars Hill, NC! The resort offers different amenities all year round, such as (seasonal) swimming, an event center (which guests can rent), a community center, (seasonal) snow skiing & (seasonal) snow tubing, trout fishing, tennis, pickle ball, basketball, and several hiking trails. Breathe the sweet alpine air on the wraparound deck while deer graze below. Nearly a mile above sea level, you'll have private neighborhood access to the world-famous Appalachian Trail. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 full kitchens, and 3 bathrooms. You're close to so much: Asheville is right down I-26, ski lifts are 5 minutes away, horseback rides, and so much more! The mountains have been whispering your name. It's time to answer them. NOW PET-FRIENDLY!
If you want to host a large event in the area, look no more! Guests can reserve the Village Pavilion, which can accommodate up to 200 attendees! The Village Pond / Amphitheatre can also be reserved. Ask us for more details!
THE SPACE
Treehouse Hideaway is perched like a treehouse on stilts amongst towering spruce and fir trees. Sitting in a high-altitude valley, it's truly an oasis from the oppressive summer heat (summertime highs are usually in the low 70s). It's the ideal spot to launch your mountain adventures. It feels big and spacious, with an open floor plan and high ceilings.
The cabin is located in the gated Wolf Laurel Resort, one of the highest-altitude residential developments east of the Mississippi River. The neighborhood offers several private access points to the Appalachian Trail and the top of Big Bald, the highest summit in the area at 5,516 feet (with 360-degree views for miles and miles).
Towels are supplied, but please bring extra towels if you plan to go out to the waterfalls or stay longer.
If you have physical limitations, be aware that this home has multiple levels that can be accessed by using the stairs.
Regarding entertainment, the house is equipped with WIFI, basic cable, and a SmartTV that sits right over the fireplace. We also have a DVD player with movies for you to enjoy. Guests can login using their own Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. credentials.
Cellphone service up here is very spotty. You will most likely need to connect to the cabin WIFI and use WIFI calling on your cellphone once you arrive.
GUEST ACCESS
You'll have a FULL kitchen with a refrigerator, stovetop, oven, microwave, regular coffee machine, and a Keurig machine with complimentary coffee! The gas grill on the wraparound deck is under a cover but available for your use. NOTE: Guests must refill the tank after use. We also provide pots and pans if you plan to do some cooking! A washer and dryer are inside the unit. We do have a Hot Tub!!!!
All guests staying with iTrip Vacations Charlotte will be provided the following:
* A starter kit consisting of paper towels, dish detergent, toilet paper, etc., to last for a couple of days. You may purchase these at the nearby BP gas station if you run out of starter supplies.
* Please let us know if you are celebrating a special occasion.

You can use all or none of these daily activities; it’s completely up to you. Some attractions sell out, so book at your earliest convenience. NOTE: WE DO NOT PROVIDE TICKETS FOR EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR PARTY EVERY DAY. ONLY ONE FREE TICKET PER DAY. Feel free to reach out to us for more information.
* This is a DOG-FRIENDLY HOME. We charge a DAILY $20 Non-Refundable Pet fee (up to 5 nights). If your stay is over 5 days long, a FLAT $200 Non-Refundable Pet Fee (ONE-TIME CHARGE) will be applied instead. If you bring your dog(s), this will be added to your rental. Please let us know if you are bringing a pet so we can accommodate your request.
* Please let us know how many will be in your group when you first book so we can accommodate you.
* Cleanliness is important. Your retreat is professionally cleaned. Anti-disinfectants will be used before and after every booking to ensure the highest level of sanitation. Due to COVID-19, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations.
* Late check-outs are available upon request and availability. Additional charges will be applied automatically if you are found on the property after check-out.
*Wanting to stay Monday - Thursday? Ask us about our special weekday rates! Why stay at work or home when you can come stay with us?!
*If you are booking on a booking site, they may put our Admin Fee, Limited Damage Waiver Fee, and Cleaning/Linen Fee together and call it the CLEANING FEE. That is why the cleaning fee appears to be high. Feel free to contact us- iTrip Charlotte
*Some booking sites will require a security deposit refundable upon checkout with no damage reported.

PETS ALLOWED We do charge a DAILY $20 Non-Refundable Pet fee (up to 5 nights). If your stay is over 5 days long, a FLAT $200 Non-Refundable Pet Fee (ONE-TIME CHARGE) will be applied instead. This will be added to your rental if you choose to bring your dog(s). Please let us know if you are bringing a pet so we can accommodate your request.
LIGHTS OUT RULE We ask guests to please TURN OFF OUTDOOR LIGHTS AFTER 11PM. Outside lighting can detract from the natural and wooded atmosphere at Wolf Laurel. Spotlights, area lights similar to street lights, lights on trees, and all lights, other than motion sensitive security lights which are automatically operated, shall be turned off by 11:00 PM.
HOUSEKEEPING There is no daily maid service. Linens and towels are included and not to be taken from the unit. An initial setup of trash liners, toilet paper, and soap is provided. There is a one-time cleaning fee charged at the time of booking. Additional cleaning fees will be due in the event that cleaning involves the removal of excessive dirt, trash or other unusual conditions.
UTILITIES No compensation will be given for temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, cable, or telephone service. Outages will be reported immediately and all efforts will be made to have them restored as soon as possible.
NONSMOKING UNIT Smoking is strictly prohibited. You will incur an additional charge for carpet cleaning and deodorizing if any evidence of smoking is found. Evidence of smoking in the house subjects the tenant to a $500 fine.
SLEEPING CAPACITY/DISTURBANCES Tenant and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee for any of the following: Exceeding the sleeping capacity of maximum occupancy, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties, and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises. No parties. If the maximum capacity has been exceeded what is listed in the property description, occupancy may be terminated without refund. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am. Please be respectful of the neighbors.
HOLD HARMLESS None of iTrip Vacations, Calma Vita, LLC, or the Owner of the premises assume any liability for (i) loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property that occurs during their stay on the premises; (ii) any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, internet service, electricity or plumbing or (iii) any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from or due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond their control.
LINENS/TOWELS/SUPPLIES The owners of the premises furnish linens and towels to Tenant. Any lost or damaged linens will be deducted from Tenant's deposit. An initial supply of paper products is provided. Extra items needed are the responsibility of the Tenant. Limited cleaning supplies may be provided. We recommend that you bring any special items that you may need
PARKING Parking at the premises is limited to 6 cars. All vehicles are parked at the risk of the Tenant. iTrip Vacations shall not assume liability or responsibility for any vehicle, occupants, or contents while operated or parked on the property.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
*Only the stated number of guests are allowed. Any additional guests must be approved by host.
*No parties, and please, no disruptive guests. Special parties/events may be discussed for approval ahead of time and will require an additional deposit.
*No smoking, vaping, illegal activity, or firearms in the home.
*Must abide by all HOA rules and regulations.
*Whomever pays for and makes booking must be present on property. Credit card must be in name of guest. (Cannot book for someone else.)
*Violation of any of these house rules will result in forfeit of deposit, and a minimum $500 penalty per incident.
*We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance, especially during these unprecedented times. We are not able to refund based on covid or medical related issues, weather, state travel regulations, power outages, wifi outages, natural occurrences (such as rain, bugs, snow, storms, etc.) personal reasons, etc.
*Surveillance cameras are located throughout the building (outside of unit).
*Payment of money and taking possession of the property for specified term after review of our rules/policies, is evidence of your acknowledgement and acceptance of agreement and your intent to use this property for a vacation rental under the NC vacation rental act.
