Feel like grabbing a delicious meal and microbrew? The Mt. Hood Brewing Company is only 40 yards away!
Inside this three-story home, modern updates appoint the classic cabin interior, creating a comfortable refuge at the end of an active day and a warm oasis during a snowstorm. A spacious living room with pine walls provides the perfect gathering spot for everyone. There’s comfy furnishings, a rustic stone gas fireplace, and beautiful lofted windows that let in an abundance of natural light. Watch a movie on the flatscreen cable TV, or simply cozy up to the fire and watch the snow fall outside.
The living room opens to the dining and kitchen area, which has a table that can fit up to eight, with extra space provided on four kitchen stools. The country kitchen's open floor plan allows for effortless entertaining and cooking, plus it features all the necessary appliances and even a dishwasher for quick cleanup.
Two sets of sliding glass doors lead to the expansive back deck, which overlooks the forest for a classic woodsy setting in the mountains. You’ll have a charcoal grill for cooking up your favorite BBQ meals, and the sliding doors make it easy to create an indoor/outdoor feel so everyone is included. You’ll also have a private hot tub outside where you can enjoy an end-of-the-day soak and take in the fresh mountain scenery.
With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this home will accommodate up to eight guests total. Upstairs, there’s a nice reading loft where you can escape the hustle and bustle with a good book.
Back on the main level, you’ll have two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed and the second room has a queen-size bed and twin-size bunk beds - ideal for the kids or any single travelers!
Downstairs on the lower level, there’s even more space for everyone to hang out and relax. A cozy family room features a wood stove and comfy furnishings. There’s also the third bedroom and second full bathroom on this level, suitable as an alternative master suite, with a queen-size bed and twin-size bunk beds. Next to the downstairs family room, there's a small bonus area with a foosball table for a fun family game night. This home also has a private washer/dryer on the lower level, as well as complimentary WiFi for your convenience. For security purposes, there is one external doorbell camera installed.
When you’re ready to explore the area, there’s plenty to do on the mountain and in nearby Government Camp. You’ll be about a half mile from downtown, where there’s an array of restaurants, shops, and amenities (and ski rental places!).
For skiing, snowboarding, inner-tubing, and more, Ski Bowl is about a half mile from the home. It’s also the best place for night skiing, which is always a fun activity; you can gaze out at the stars above when riding the chair lift, then enjoy a less crowded run down the mountain. Timberline Ski Resort above historic Timberline Lodge is only six miles away, and because its slopes are open throughout the year, you can all seasons skiing. Mt. Hood Meadows is under 12 miles away and offers an array of terrain, from beginner bunny slopes to black diamond runs for experts.
In the summer, Mt. Hood Meadows also offers plenty of summer activities, including scenic hiking, chairlift rides, and more. For summer skiing and snowboarding, Timberline Ski Area has a small number of snow-filled runs for those looking to hit the powder year-round.
