We loved our stay @ the Great Escape. The location was beautiful and secluded and was minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg. The cabin surrounded by trees. There was a small park as well on property with a gazebo for picnics. We will definitely want to come back here.

The Great Escape cabin experience for myself & my 2 children was 100% more tgan expected! We had a Final Cheer Competition 2 attended and booked only 2 days before arrival! Everything from the contact with questions on my end to the cabin, it's location, neighborhood & hot tub was 100% fantastic! The owner of the rental company actually reached out to me the night before we were to arrive when he got my message late at evening after operation hours, to make sure everything was okay and that we had all the information we needed. All of the follow-up emails with the information house code location ect, was above & beyond! The beautiful little cabin was the perfect size for myself and my two kids. Everything was clean & in great shape.. right down to the cute flowers on the folded towels in the bathrooms! We all felt very safe and secure and would highly recommend this property! The two bedrooms with the king size beds are downstairs on the bottom level beside one another with a full bath, which was perfect for us! We let my daughter have the downstairs bathroom and my son and I shared the upstairs full bath! ;-) ... we even got a few free admissions to surrounding theme parks which is amazing for a single mother of two!!! If we could stay here we would! Thank you so much for everything it was a great long weekend and you made everything easy and perfect! Will definitely call upon you the next time we come to this area!!!

I thought the place was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. You're in the woods and mountains in a real wooden cabin.

Our stay was comfortable, but there was no working lights in one of the downstairs bedrooms. Arriving late at night, we had to use our flashlight from the car to find our way around the bedroom. The cabin was clean and well appointed. Be aware though, this cabin has NO VIEW. The view from the upper and lower balcony is TREES only. There is no distance or mountain view. This was very disappointing to me, especially when just two doors down, the cabins had magnificent mountain views from their balconies. Also, be aware, both bedrooms are DOWN a very long steep flight of STAIRS, and so is the hot tub. Very "dungeon" feeling. So, there really isn't any opportunity for socializing with your cabin mates when you have to go downstairs to use the hottub. My husband and I have difficulty with stairs, and they are EVERYWHERE in this cabin, even leading into the BATHROOM. If you don't have a problem, it probably won't bother you. But if you have issues with stairs, this isn't the place for you.

We are glad that the guest had a comfortable stay and found our cabin clean and well appointed.. In response to the concerns stated: This cabin is accurately described and presented in our description. We state in our description that our cabin is " Situated at the end of a Cul-de-Sac with beautiful wooded views". In regards to the living arrangements, guests will find that upon entering the home you have a main living area, and instead of going upstairs to bedrooms, you go downstairs. The stairs leading to the lower level are typical stairs and there are about 12 steps to the lower level landing. There is a step to access the lower level bathroom. We were never notified of problems with the lights in the bedroom, and subsequent guests have not relayed any concerns. This is an amazing cabin with convenient access to local activities. We appreciate all feedback and encourage guests to contact us with any questions about our properties, especially guests seeking particular accommodations. We want all of our guests to be 100% happy and comfortable while visiting.
