Colorful Victorian - walking distance to the beach & Pleasure Pier. This beautifully remodeled 1891 Victorian home sleeps 12 comfortably and is the perfect home to experience all of the fun that Galveston has to offer.

The main house has 2 king bedrooms on the main level and two bedrooms upstairs, each with 2 Twin XL and 1 Twin beds. Just off the back porch is a private Mother-In-Law Suite with a separate entrance (queen bed, full kitchen, and bath).

Cozy balconies off both the front and back of the house provide a relaxing place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail. Plenty of outdoor seating is available on the patio, along with a fire pit to lounge around in the evenings. There is a gas grill available for those who want to grill burgers or try some of the fresh seafood you can find here in Galveston. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare all your meals. For your convenience, all cooking utensils, pans, dishes, a full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, blender, coffee pot, Keurig, and toaster are provided. Seating for 12 is available in the dining room, so everyone can come together for enjoyable meals or game time in the evenings.

Do you have a minimum age requirement?

Due to previous problems (and we’re sure this doesn’t relate to you…) we’ve needed to implement a minimum age requirement of 25+. Guests under the age of 25 are still entirely welcome – they will just need to be accompanied by parents or guardians.

We experienced difficulties with the room access code upon arrival, but the host provided an alternative code. The house was uncomfortably warm at 78 degrees, and it took nearly 24 hours to achieve a comfortable temperature. The room off the balcony never cooled below 76 degrees. With 11 guests, we found the six provided towels to be insufficient. However, the host arranged for additional towels to be delivered from Walmart. The balcony leading to the back room has weak boards that pose a safety risk, as my son injured his ankle when part of the wood gave way. The decking requires immediate replacement of rotten boards to prevent further accidents. We noted that the showers lacked liners, causing water to accumulate on the floor and creating a slipping hazard due to the absence of floor mats. The single tub takes an excessive two hours to drain between showers or baths. Although we were informed that there were three parking spaces available, we found that the second driveway space would protrude into the road, and the third space, located on a public street, was not guaranteed. The laundry area required cleaning prior to use due to an accumulation of leaves. The bicycles provided for guest use were found to have flat tires and significant rust damage. A dartboard and cornhole boards were available, but we were surprised to learn that guests are required to rent darts and corn bags to use them. Fo

Thank you for your stay and for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered. The early check-in request that was sent is something that is either approved or denied on the day of your arrival depending on whether or not we are able to accommodate. Upon submitting the request- the fee is authorized but not charged until it is approved. We are not able to approve sooner than the day of your arrival. We were happy to have accommodated a 2pm check-in. And happy we could provide a backup code for the back house immediately upon your arrival since your code was originally set for a later time. Typically, the home also has more time to cool prior to your check-in time but was still cooling due to your early arrival. We have since confirmed that the AC is working properly and apologize again for this. We confirmed after your departure that the additional towels were left in a cabinet. But we are happy that we were able to get a towel delivery to you quickly. We are beginning the repair of the deck boards currently. We did try to send our maintenance to address the tub draining as well as the loose board- but did not receive your approval to send him. While the driveway is large enough for two vehicles- larger trucks may not fit. Our maintenance is addressing the tires on the bikes as we were unaware these were flat since the previous stay. We do not charge to use the darts or corn hole bags. These are put away and their location is listed in the guide although we would have been happy to share where to find them if we had known you were looking. We apologize for this as well. This is a historic home so the stairwell is narrow and steep. But the upstairs bedrooms are still safely accessible. Thank you again for bringing each of these items to our attention. We regret that many of these were not addressed during your stay as we were happy to send our maintenance if approved.
