Elegant Waterfront Retreat in Old Town Florence!

Enjoy your morning coffee out on the deck with a panoramic view of the sunrise over the Siuslaw Estuary, Bay and surrounding hillside. Relax with the gentle coastal breeze while watching the gulls in flight or the swallows performing acrobatic aerial maneuvers. For the bird watcher in all of us, the majestic Osprey is always a special sight to see or perhaps a statuesque Blue Heron standing attention at low tide.

Just a few minutes south of town are the sand dunes where you can rent dune buggies and more. For the avid fisherman, Florence has over 27 lakes with trophy bass, trout and more. Of course don’t forget the mighty Salmon and Steelhead runs up the Siuslaw during Salmon season! Just a few minutes north along the coast and you’ll find fun in the sun and surf at the fabulous Heceta Beach and of course don’t forget to visit the world famous and most photographed Heceta Head Lighthouse as well as the Sea Lion Caves!

The charming historic Old Town section of the city is filled with lovely shops, cafes, galleries, and restaurants. A quick drive to many local attractions such as the Oregon Dunes and beaches, The famous Sea Lion caves, The historic Heceta Lighthouse, nearby Woahink and Siltcoos Lakes for fishing, boating, kayaking or swimming. You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The coastal forests flourishing in Douglas fir and Sitka spruce extend nearly to the Ocean. Some trails wind up, over, and through sand dunes, offering hikers the opportunity to experience the unique natural wonders of this area. Paddle the slow moving 3 mile designated canoe trail between Siltcoos Lake and the Pacific Ocean.Take a scenic drive up Hwy 101 to Heceta Head Lighthouse where free tours are offered daily. Get your adrenalin flowing on a nearby dune buggy tour or with an ATV rental, or go crabbing from the Siuslaw Bay public fishing pier at the end of South Jetty road
 where crabbing is excellent from late spring until the fresh water from winter rains force 
the crabs out to the ocean.
