Really love this place. Booked it a second time WHILE I was here the first time! It's a wonderful older college with nice clean updates and is very comfortable and impossibly close to the surf, which my family loves. I'm hoping to put it into regular rotation.

Enjoyed staying at Cloud 9-what you would expect for a Beach House! It was relaxing, comfortable and when we had a problem with WiFi and cable they came right out and fixed! We were happy to be able to take our dog and had a great time. We would stay here again!!

Nice place. Great having the whole house to yourself. The huge deck is the best part! Watched the sunrises every morning!I've seen the comments that there is no direct beach access, but the public beach access is just 3 houses down the street. Not a big issue. We were there during a really hot week, and the A/C in a few of the bedrooms had a tough time keeping up. If you keep it at the recommended settings they suggest, they keep it comfortable.

This was a last minute trip and we were so fortunate to stay in this lovely and very clean cottage. The weather was not the best but we still enjoyed ourselves looking a the beautiful view of the ocean. We will definitely stay here again! It was our dog, Milo, first time at the ocean and he loved it. Britt’s donuts is always a plus.

In the listing, this appears to be a quaint, cute, clean little beach cottage. It is oceanfront, with access just a very few minutes walk away. And sitting on the deck watching the ocean is everything you could want on a beach vacation. But, the interior of the cottage isn’t very well cared for. Couch and loveseat were comfy and mostly clean, save for some sand . Dining tabletop is warped but still serviceable. All furniture is in need of replacement except couch and loveseat. Appliances are past their prime, cookware was stacked in the lower cabinet with remains of meals still present, drawers with silverware and other utensils were found with food debris and dried food on many utensils. Dirty broiler pan was left in the oven... which oddly enough was itself surprisingly clean! Every item in kitchen had to be rewashed before use. Beds were made with clean sheets but bedspreads n shams were stained and musty. Bed headboards were so loosely attached that any movement caused them to slam into the walls. There are holes in the joints of painted paneling in king bedroom that you could put your hand into. Bunk beds are rusty and extremely shaky, screws are too rusted to tighten. Air was musty and smelled of mold and when I opened the filter doors on each air conditioning unit the filters were caked in dirt dust and mold. I removed and cleaned each one and cleaned mold from the inside of each unit, because my granddaughter has asthma and couldn’t tolerate the dust n mold blowing into the rooms. When I sent pics of filters to property manager, he admitted he had no idea the units had filters or how to remove them. No dish towels or dish cloths were provided. I had to request them and pot holders. Dryer quit 4 days into a two week stay, had to be replaced ... so we were without dryer for a few days. Vacuum is cordless but had never been mounted on Wall so you could charge it... property manager did mount it when he brought dish towels to us/ he never knew it was even there! Bathroom was the cleanest room in the house but if you tried to change the shower head angle, the shower head popped off the pipe. Complaints were addressed in a timely manner... so that was a welcome aspect. But this home could be so much more than it is. A good cleaning, updated items and some regular maintenance could go a long way toward making this a 5 star cottage. Be prepared for “ a no frills old beach cottage”... and that is a direct quote from the property manager. At over $4200 for a two bed one bath cottage for a two week stay, I expected a bit more than that.

We had an excellent time at the beach house. All went as well as I had hoped and we look forward to another vacation at the beach This was our first use of VRBO and iTrips helped us get through the system. Everything was clean and ready. It’s pet friendly so we could have our whole family together. Everything we needed was at the house and Carolina Beach is a nice community. After a few days it seemed like our home.

Cloud 9 beach house was perfect for our needs! We love that the house is right on the beach and the fact that they allowed us to bring our furry members of our family. The owners of Cloud 9 were very nice to work with and very quick to answer our emails and any questions we had. We drove from Nebraska and met our kids here for a week of vacation. We had a wonderful week!

Really enjoyed our stay at Cloud 9! The House was very clean and cozy. The ocean view is hard to beat from the deck, you are right there! Bedrooms were great and had very comfortable beds. There was plenty of room inside for us and our 2 children and small dog, we never felt cramped. Access to the beach is a very close walking distance, wasn’t a big deal at all. Loved the private outside shower and sink for rinsing off sand before going inside. Felt like a more peaceful area to be, loved it! The busier area is a short drive if you want to eat at a restaurant or shop. We would definitely stay here again!

The view for was golden and my children had so much fun. The pier was with in walking distance and the access to the beach was close too. You can not access the beach at night here as the ocean comes straight up to the rocks. The kitchen needs some love. Not the cleanest. Needs some hot pads for the oven and opening the dishwasher took some manovering. May I suggest a different handle on the drawer in front of the dishwasher. The place is extremely musty when you first arrive. If they would start the a/c before you arrive this would burn off the smell and make it more inviting. But I will be honest, this place for the cost is worth it. The bathroom is super nice and clean, the parking is great and the bedrooms are nice. So yes, I would stay here again. Knowing a few things I would just plan accordingly.

We enjoyed our stay at Cloud 9. The house is perfect if you have a dog as it is within walking distance to Freeman Park. Dogs are only allowed on Carolina beach before 9 am and after 5 pm after April and before October 1, but allowed all day at Freeman Park. The house is on the northern side of the island away from the crowds of the main area. The house is just steps away from the water. It is relaxing to sit on the deck and watch the waves crash on the rocks. Entrance to the main beach is three houses down. The house is an older Carolina beach house, but is in good condition. It is simple but has all the essentials. We will probably return in the winter when dogs are allowed off leash.
