About Lake Pend Oreille:
Lake Pend Oreille is Idaho's largest lake, stretching approximately 43 miles long with 111 miles of shoreline. Reaching depths of approximately 1,158 feet, it is also one of the deepest lakes in the United States.
Formed by Ice Age glaciers and surrounded by the northern Rocky Mountains, the lake offers spectacular scenery and year-round recreation. Its clear waters are popular for boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Anglers can find species including trout, bass, and Kokanee salmon.
Boat Information:
Please inquire before bringing your own boat. The road system and parking can be tricky, and boats cannot be left in the water overnight due to the quick weather changes on Lake Pend Oreille.
For these reasons, day-use boat rentals are highly recommended. You can rent from Macdonald Resort in the town of Bayview.

- Guest agrees to leave the premises and its contents in the same condition, neat and tidy, as Guest found the premises to be upon move-in, normal wear and tear expected.
- There is an exterior surveillance video camera facing the driveway for your protection and the homeowner's protection. Please do not touch or move.
- The maximum number of occupants shall not exceed 4 people, not including a child in a crib.
- The maximum number of vehicles shall not exceed 3. Parking is strictly prohibited on the road. Please do not block access to neighbors homes. Absolutely NO TRAILERS in Cape Horn area. Trailer parking is provided elsewhere.
- Furnishings are not to be removed from the premises for use outside or in other properties.
- Dogs are NOT allowed. If evidence of pets are found in the unit after stay, you will be fined $300.
- Fire bans must be complied with. FIREWORKS ARE NOT ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
- Smoking and/or vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited. You will be fined $500 if evidence of smoking is found on the property.
- Reservations are not made by or for a minor, defined as any person under the age of twenty-one (21).
- Guest and any visitors of guests shall obey all laws of the state of Idaho, as well as local laws, at all times while they are on the premises. Failure to abide by the laws of Idaho or the above rules may cause tenant to be asked to vacate the premises and forfeit all rents and security/damage deposits.
- Guests must comply with this good neighbor notice. This property is a privately owned home. Please treat this property as you would your own home. You agree to close and lock all doors and windows when you are not on property, and at check-out. Guests agree to be respectful of neighbors and not be disruptive to neighbors, community or traffic issues prompting complaints. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am. All parking procedures are listed and agreed to by guest. Be kind. Be mindful. Be a good neighbor.
