There is only one top floor at Lovers Key Resort — and this is it. From the penthouse balcony, the early morning sunrises over Estero Bay arrive unobstructed and unhurried, the Bay stretching out below in peaceful stillness. Black Island, Lovers Key State Park, and the Gulf shimmer in the distance from the oversized living room and bedroom windows. Dolphins, manatees, and tropical birds make regular and delightful appearances. And all of it unfolds at the very top of the tower, with extended-height ceilings above and the world spread out below.

This beautifully remodeled 800 sq ft penthouse suite offers details you simply won't find on the lower floors — a unique plantation shutter cutout between the bedroom and main living area, a full work-from-home desk with computer monitor, an under-sink 5-stage water filtration system, a corner soaking tub, a dual-access spa bathroom, granite kitchen, an XL sleeper sofa, and beach gear ready to go.

THE SPACE

Extended-height ceilings and oversized windows give this penthouse an expansive, airy quality that feels noticeably different from the standard floors below — the space breathes, and the views are present everywhere you look.

The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen space is warmly appointed throughout. The living area features an XL sleeper sofa, a wall-mounted flat screen TV with DirecTV (viewable throughout the entire condo), and casual dining for 4, with an eating bar and bar stools adding a relaxed feel alongside the granite kitchen. All full-size appliances are included, along with a SimPure V7 5-stage under-sink water filtration system connected directly to the kitchen faucet — pure, filtered water on demand throughout the stay.

For guests who need to get some work done between beach days, a dedicated work-from-home desk with computer monitor is tucked into the space — a practical and thoughtful touch that's rare at this resort.

Sliding glass doors open onto the open corner balcony, where dining for 2 and that unobstructed penthouse-level Estero Bay view await.

The spacious bedroom features a king-size bed with luxury linens and a genuinely one-of-a-kind architectural detail: a plantation shutter cutout window opening from the bedroom into the main living area — allowing light, air, and the TV to flow between spaces, with the shutters closed for privacy when needed. Direct bathroom access from the bedroom completes the suite-like feel.

The oversized spa-style bathroom is accessible from both the bedroom and the main living area — a corner soaking tub, an oversized glass-enclosed walk-in shower, an expansive vanity counter, and a private toilet area, all beautifully finished.

Important note to Airbnb travel guests about the cleaning/housekeeping fee:

This is a combination of the actual cleaning/housekeeping fee, modest booking fee, and state & local taxes, and not the cleaning fee exclusively.

Our cleaning/housekeeping fees vary based on size of property, number of bedrooms & bathrooms, pool patio homes, garages, etc. They typically range between $125-$325 based on the aforementioned.

The booking fee is $89.

Airbnb does not currently allow hosts to itemize these fees on their site which is why we'd like to explain what otherwise appears to be an excessive cleaning fee expense.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Lovers Key Resort and stayed in a Penthouse Suit on the top floor. Absolutely beautiful views of the surrounding area. The suit had everything you could ask for and was well furnished. We enjoyed both the swimming pool and the fitness room very much. But having the restaurant, Flippers, right there on the property was very convenient and the food was excellent. I also did a lot of bird and wildlife photography and there were a good variety of places to visit in less than one hour drive that proved to be excellent.

Beautiful condo, great pool. Kitchen had everything you could need. Only downside was loud neighbors at night but Alexa tuned that right out with some white noise😉. Would definitely stay again.

Staying at Lovers Key PH 1 was a dream come true. The property is stunning, with beautiful landscaped gardens and elegant interiors. Our room was a sanctuary of comfort and style, with breathtaking views of the Gulf and the bay. Management of the property were attentive and super friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. We enjoyed a romantic dinner (10 steps next door) at “Flippers” (amazing by the way) where the ambience and cuisine were simply divine. The pool and spa (open 24/7) area was a perfect spot to relax and unwind, with attentive service and you can bring your own cocktails! That’s a plus. Every aspect of our stay was flawless, and we left with cherished memories. Lovers key PH 1 is a MUST-VISIT for anyone looking for an exceptional experience. This a a definite 10 out of 10. We will be back!

Fabulous condo!! Only one operating elevator in building which makes for long waits. Only few pool chairs in mid March with full sun. Very friendly staff!

This unit was even better in person than than in the photos. Extremely clean, beautifully decorated, spectacular views and very comfortable. Close to Lovers Key State Park and Fort Myers. Although the building and area surrounding the resort are still under construction/renovation from Ian, there was little to no noise or disruption. The resort grounds and pool area are very pretty and a nice place to relax. If you are considering Lovers Key Resort Penthouse 1, go for it you will not regret your decision! We can't wait to return!

WE stayed here over Mothers Day Weekend ,the views and Condo are Stellar ! Each morning with a beautiful Sunrise ,and Dolphins playing near the private beach area( also got lucky and saw a family of Manatees) PLENTY of room for a One Bedroom( this is one of the Largest Rooms in Whole Building with High Ceilings) and even had a friend stay on pull out couch Would Stay again and highly recommend to other travelers

It was a fantastic! View was beautiful, the condo was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Check-I’m was easy and the young lady behind the counter was very nice. Flippers was an excellent place to eat at convenient. Access to the beach was very nice. Some nights it was hard to find a place to park and wish the wind wasn’t blowing so hard while we were there, but that has nothing to do with you. We hope to do it again down the road! We planned a week vacation at the Lovers Key Resort PH1 and let me tell you, we were not disappointed. The room was amazing. Decorations were perfect and it was clean plus well organized. We had all the essentials we needed. Not to mention one amazing view especially in the morning watching the sun rise. The pool and spa were perfect. We are already wanting to come back next year and hopefully get the same room. I can't say enough about this resort and room. It was a perfect romantic getaway with lots of good food all around, adventures to do and views that I will never forget.

We had a wonderful long weekend. Great to have a view of the bay although we thought it was going to be full view of the gulf. Sweet sunrise with coffee on the terrace of our penthouse and inside accommodations were lovely. A few little things would have made a difference for us personally like a tv in the bedroom and a few tissue boxes available, perhaps an area rug next to bed so not putting our feet on the cold tile, and maybe one in living room area by sofa. I'd say the only thing my husband and I would request next time would be to have our place on the other side of the parking lot. There was some noise pollution from cars and garbage trucks. These things did not deter from our complete enjoyment. It was an excellent vrbo set up, clean, lots of towels available, large bathroom, loved the private commode room and size of the shower. We look forward to visiting again next year.

My friends and I were on an annual girls trip and we stayed at Lovers Key Resort in PH1. We had the best time sitting outside on the balcony watching the sunrises & sunsets. We also watched the dolphins swimming in the bay which was very cool! The decor was beautiful and we spent a lot of time at the pool and loved watching all the boats go by. We walked across the street to the beach which was really convenient along with the restaurant right on the property. I highly recommend staying in PH1 at Lovers Key Resort, we will definitely be back next year for our girls trip! Can’t wait!
