Important note to Airbnb travel guests about the cleaning/housekeeping fee:

This is a combination of the actual cleaning/housekeeping fee, modest booking fee, and state & local taxes, and not the cleaning fee exclusively.

Our cleaning/housekeeping fees vary based on size of property, number of bedrooms & bathrooms, pool patio homes, garages, etc. They typically range between $125-$325 based on the aforementioned.

The booking fee is $89.

Airbnb does not currently allow hosts to itemize these fees on their site which is why we'd like to explain what otherwise appears to be an excessive cleaning fee expense.

Quiet & Comfortable
5/5 stars
This was the second time that we have stayed at this cute little house. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we feel right at home there. We come to fish and love the easy access to open water and the convenience of a marina at the end of the canal. This is a little gem of a house that has everything you'd need during your stay. I needed to reach out to the Management Company during our stay and Josh responded quickly and helped to rectify my issue. Thank you Josh for your help and we will be back! .

TarponCamp 3.0
5/5 stars
This was our third trip to TarponCamp. It is a clean tightly wrapped accommodation with everything we needed. The boat lift is particularly helpful to us as we store our boat in Bookeelia and we are able to wash it down each day after use. Our dog loves it too.

We had a great month spent at TarponCamp. We have our own boat so the boat lift was of particular value to us. We were able to keep the boat in the water with nightly wash downs in the lift. The Wifi and Verizon access was helpful for our "workcation". Everything about TarponCamp met our needs. It was clean and modern. This was our second year at TarponCamp and the new refrigerator was apleasure.
- Chris

Hi Chris - thanks so much for the 5 star review. We are glad you came back this year & hope you return again!

My husband & I enjoyed our week on Pine Island. The house was good, peaceful times out on the patio by the canal, & the kayaks were really put to good use. We really enjoyed the kayaking. We saw some dolphins, manatees, ibis, pelicans, herons, & loved it all. Amazing sunsets too. The house was clean, well-kept, & had all supplies that we needed for our stay. We had a very nice time. Thanks.

Fall fishing in Bokeelia is a staple with my crew and to have such a well set up and clean place to rest after long days on the water is fantastic. The boat lift is a plus for storage and cleaning. Tarpon Camp is Fantastic!
5/5 stars
What a great place. Tarpon Camp is a most charming place; so clean, fresh and well kept with everything you’ll need. Only a short float to open water and fishing the Pass and enjoying Cayo Costa. We throughly enjoyed our stay. After a full day of chasing Tarpon we would have dinner then relax with an evening cruise and toasted the sunset at Jug Creek! Highly recommended for complete relaxation. We can’t wait to return!

My wife and I spent our second anniversary here and had a blast. This house is very cozy, clean and comfortable. We brought the boat and did plenty of fishing. Very nice having the boat lift available to use! When the weather did not cooperate we brought the bait back to the house and caught snook and keeper size snapper in the canal. This place is great for a fishing getaway and we will be back.

Charming Getaway
5/5 stars
We loved this place! The owner's have named it "Tarpon Camp" and by the looks of it they use it for their own getaways. We will likely rent it again when we can bring our boat. It is a great escape especially for Floridian's who want a little bit of old Florida away from the tourist crowds. No "scripted" vacations here. It is immaculately clean, everything is fresh and well decorated. The house, though built in the 1950's is freshened up and extremely comfortable, new A/C, Flat screen TV's, Cable and well-kept lawn. Ton's of towels and extra blankets. It is on a canal with access to Jug Creek (Bayou) and across from Calusa Island and a pass into Charlotte Harbor. Convenient boating access to Boca Grande, Cayo Costa, Cabbage Key, North Captiva, Useppa islands. If you have no boat there is a nearby marina with a shuttle to Cayo Costa, an untouched island with natural wild beaches. The home is also equipped with lawn chairs, large cooler, nice kayaks, fish cleaning station, kitchen utensils, washer and dryer, and a rare find for a rental holiday home... a powered boat lift on the canal out back. Launching the Kayaks from the canal sea wall can be challenging, as an option there is a nice gently sloping put-in between the Mangroves at the north end of the street. There are dining options in Bokeelia including the Lazy Flamingo inside the Four Winds Marina, and others on Pine Island including Woody's, The Low Key Tiki, and Ragged Ass Saloon in St. James City on the south of the island, not to mention dining and shopping options in Matlacha. For night life, there is a sort of Honky Tonk in St. James City named Froggy's. On the night we were there it was a great friendly crowd of all ages, a fantastic live band, and lively games of pool were enjoyed. We loved exploring the island by car and Kayak. Looking forward to exploring by boat on the next trip.

Recent trip to Canal Front Bokeelia Bungalow
5/5 stars
This well maintained, spotless property is the perfect getaway for people who want to unwind in a quiet location and enjoy what nature has to offer in this special area. We began every day sitting on the deck facing the canal watching ospreys nesting in a tree on the opposite side. We were visited on the property by egrets, small and great heron, ibis and pelicans. We spent many hours exploring and fishing from the kayaks supplied by the owner. We caught numerous fish within a short distance from the house and saw countless birds in the nearby mangrove lagoons.

Great little area!
4/5 stars
We were pleasantly surprised at our house in Bokeelia! It was very clean and comfortably furnished. Our location was right on a canal and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the boats go by and the birdlife. Great walking/biking path nearby as well. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Tarpon Camp!

Bokeelia Fishing Bungalow
5/5 stars
Great location and very comfortable house with all the conveniences! Easy access to Jug Creek, Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grande Pass. Close to marinas and restaurants. Great boat lift, but use is subject to something greater than low tide. No where to leave boat off lift and tied up. Really would be great if sea wall had a couple of pilings set so that would be possible.
- Stan
Great house for fishing

This was the perfect house for our family to enjoy a couple of days in a fishing meca! House is located on canal with fuel, bait and ice at the end, on your way out to fish or just simply a boat ride.

Bokellia Cottage
5/5 stars
Great little house in an area of many interesting acttivities. The house was clean, well maintained, well furnished and equiped. It had evrything that we needed. It was located on a canal that led to the Gulf - very short distance to open water. It had a new boat lift for renters use. There were also 2 kayaks available which made us happy. This is a very good fishing area, we enjoyed the freash seafood! While the lively tourest area of Matlacha is only about 20 minutes away, things on the island are much quieter and slower paced. Ft. Myers is about 35 minutes away, and Cayo Costo State Park is just a ferry ride away (marina is within waking distance). Sal, the owner is close by to handle any problms. We had none. We actualy extended our stay by 4 days. We enjoyed eveything about our expericne in Bokeelia.
