The Old Mill Retreat is a single-level, newly remodeled gem, in Bend's Old Mill District. Situated on a picturesque street with postcard landscaping and exterior care, this home expresses a hearty handshake and hug to its guests.

It offers an open floorplan, made even more expansive with 11 foot ceilings. It sparkles like new with freshly painted walls and ceilings, high luster kitchen appliances, and tile floors. Generous windows mean an abundance of natural light and views of the surrounding greenery and patio amenities.

The Old Mill Retreat is perfect for a small family intent on walking, biking and enjoying the water and mountains. It is equally fabulous for a guest party of adults, intent on outdoor adventure coupled with the Ale Trail and tasting the local fare.

Everyone who stays will enjoy the option of preparing their own meals in a fully equipped modern kitchen or firing up the grill outside. On those perfect Bend evenings, take the plates outside and relax. When the weather prevails, cozy around the dining room table with the fireplace turned up.

Year around, talk about the day’s memories around the firepit and plan for tomorrow. Finish things off before retiring by soaking under the stars.

The home offers quick access to Reed Market, a straight shot to S Century Dr and Mt Bachelor for your day in the Sno Parks or on the slopes. Or, you can just drive about a mile and half and hop on the shuttle.

A short bike ride gets you to no fewer than five different brewpubs along with a pair of new wine rooms. Shopping, coffee shops, bakeries, a movie theater, and events at Les Schwab Amphitheater are all walkable excursions. It's just a five minute trip on wheels to downtown and another assortment of restaurants, boutiques, parks and street events all year long. The entrance to Hwy 97 is 2 minutes away, taking you north to Smith Rock, and south to Sunriver.

Pack light and stay awhile – you have a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer here. If you must, you can get on the grid using provided WiFi.

Tenant Requirements: Tenant stated on the Agreement/Booking must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age and acknowledge that they will occupy the Property during the entire tenancy.

Frequently Asked Questions

HAZARDOUS PRACTICES
No open flames are permitted on balconies or in the unit. Do not dismantle smoke detectors. Use the overhead stove fan when cooking.

FAMILY RENTAL ONLY
Reservations made for teenagers or young single requires an accompanying adult staying in the unit at ALL times. At least one member of the party needs to be 25 (twenty-five) years of age! Any violators will be evicted according to Oregon law with forfeiture of all monies.

FALSIFIED RESERVATION
Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of reservation deposit, damage deposit, and/or balance of rental payment.

HOUSEKEEPING
No daily maid service.  Additional cleaning fees will be due in the event that cleaning involves the removal of excessive debris, excessive spillage or staining of carpets, or uncleaned cooking grease and stains.

We reserve the right to charge guests for not complying with house cleaning rules.  Specifically, we reserve the right to charge guests if all dishes have not been cleaned either in the dishwasher or by hand, if all trash is not bagged and cinched, and if all perishable food has not been disposed.  

UTILITIES
No compensation will be given for temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, cable, or internet. Outages will be reported immediately and all efforts will be made to have them restored as soon as possible. 

SECURITY CAMERAS
If security cameras for outdoor visual monitoring are present at the property, the listing will disclose this fact.  Tenant accepts the monitoring of the outside and agrees to not tamper with the security system.
 
NONSMOKING UNIT
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the property AND on premises. Any evidence of smoking will result in $150 fine, plus the cost of smoke remediation.

DOGS
If you are staying in a dog-friendly property and are planning to bring your dog, you must notify us.  No more than one dog is allowed unless prior arrangements have been made.  A dog fee is required, and it varies depending on the property.  You must confirm your dog is flea and tick free, and is up to date on all vaccinations.  Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or bedding.  Please notify us of any accidents that occur in the home.  Please clean up outdoors.

If you are staying in a No Pet property, we reserve the right to take any or all of the following actions if a pet or Emotional Support Animal is brought onto the property,  a) charge a pet fee, b) charge extra for cleaning or picking up behind the pet, c) charge a fee for neighbor complaints, d) charge a refundable damage deposit, e) ask tenant to vacate the premises with no refund of any fees or damage deposits paid.
 

SLEEPING CAPACITY/DISTURBANCES
All occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee and security deposit for any of the following: Occupancy exceeding the sleeping capacity, people using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises.

BICYCLES
iTrip or the Owner are in no way responsible for bodily harm or injuries that may occur while using the bicycles provided by the property. The Guest agrees to use the bicycles at your own risk. You are responsible for wearing helmets, and for securing the bikes. The Guest is responsible for the bicycles should they be lost or stolen when not on the vacation home premises.

MAINTENANCE
Please report any maintenance needs for the premises to the us and we will respond as quickly as possible. Refunds will not be made for maintenance issues including, but not limited to heating and air conditioning, appliances, televisions, and sound equipment.

LINENS/TOWELS/SUPPLIES
The owners furnish linens and towels. Lost or damaged linens may be deducted from your deposit. An initial supply of products is provided. Extra items needed are the responsibility of the Tenant. Limited cleaning supplies may be provided. We recommend that you bring any special items that you may need.

Wonderful Old Mill winter.

The Old Mill Retreat was a great choice for our two month stay in Bend. The home and location were perfect. The townhome was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed, even good knives! A generous supply of soaps, shampoo and cleaning supplies were given. The convenient walk to the Old Mill shops, restaurants and walking paths was enjoyed every day. Other than our 30 minute drive to Mt. Bachelor we walked everywhere. The Box Factory and downtown areas were also a short walk. We’ll return definitely!

Awesome vacation rental!

We absolutely loved our visit to Bend and this vacation rental was great. It was comfortable and spacious and totally fit our needs as a family of four. A highlight for us was that it had toys, books, games and coloring tools for young children. My girls had so much fun coloring and playing with blocks while we were indoors. The beds were comfortable and our girls did not want to leave (neither did we). We already want to come back!

Amazing two month stay!

My partner and I stayed here for two months in the fall while working remotely. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfortable, clean, and well-located accommodations. We enjoyed having access to the hot tub, grill, fire pit, and laundry. The kitchen was also so well-stocked with everything you could need to prepare meals. Reg was super communicative, helpful with retrieving mail on our behalf, and highly accommodating when questions came up. We highly recommend the Old Mill Retreat!

“Thank you” for a very enjoyable 3 night girls getaway. The house was very nice, turn key with lots of amenities. Very airy with 3 little patios. Beds were very comfortable, linens and towels fresh and plentiful. The most amazing thing was the kitchen—it was equipped with EVERYTHING you could ever want for dining in. The soap, shampoo, conditioner was a nice surprise! Excellent location, walking distance to The Old Mill District along the Deschutes River, several Brew Pubs and close drive to many restaurants. A fun way to end our day was enjoying the hot tub, star gazing in the very quiet neighborhood. Will definitely return and thank you Reg for making our stay....

Beautiful townhouse in a fantastic location!!!

Honestly, the house was even better than the pictures. Easy to book and had every amenity we could have asked for.  The kitchen was very well appointed with everything we needed to make us feel at home. It even included a French press and coffee grinder, which were nice to have for our morning coffee on the sun porch. The neighborhood itself is really cute and very peaceful. And it was only a ten minute walk to the Old Mill District, Deschutes River, and Crux Brewing, which made getting around very convenient.  After a day of walking and taking in the sights, we loved coming back to soak in the cozy hot tub.Really, this place had everything we wanted for the perfect getaway to Bend.  We loved our stay and will definitely be coming back!
