Oceanside, known at the Gateway to San Diego, is a beach community with a wide variety of recreational activities. You can enjoy golfing, swimming, surfing, biking, and whale watching when in season.

Oceanside offers the Cape Cod style harbor village with unique shopping and dining experiences.Take a stroll down the beach to the Oceanside pier. About half way down the pier meet Charlie the pelican next to the bait store. Don’t touch! He bites. Walk to the end of one of the longest wooden piers on the west coast to the 50’s style restaurant “Ruby’s” and indulge in a hand dipped milkshake. Fishing is also allowed off of the pier. Back on the beach take a lesson on how to surf or rent a boogie board. Summer nights are filled with concerts and special events at the amphitheater conveniently located at the pier entrance. Venture out to take a short walk to the weekly farmers market or Movie Theater and 333 Pacific – Steak & Seafood.
