Maui Beach House
5.0/5 stars
We have stayed at the Maui Beach House for many years, and it continues to be our favorite vacation spot. It's an affordable rental, right on the ocean, and there is a great "karma" about the place. Wait until you read the guest book! True testimonials on how great this rental really is, for so many families and friends!

Maui Beach House

My family had the pleasure of staying at the Maui Beach House for 10 days this summer and it was truly a dream! From the minute you drive though the gate and see the amazing views, you know you are in for a treat. Not only are you located in a great spot on the island (between Kapalua and Kaanapali, close to Lahaina), the house is right on the water, with all bedrooms having a stunning ocean view. The house is laid out perfectly with each bedroom having its own bath. There are two outdoor showers (great to rinse off the sea water)and our large family group found plenty of space to hang, sit and read, enjoy morning coffee and evening cocktails in the comfortable living area. The house is larger and even more accommodating than the pictures on the web show. We had kids in our group and they loved the pool and grass areas to run and play hide and seek. The house offered kayaks and surf/boogie boards, which was great and we rented additional snorkel gear and paddle boards and made the most of the beautiful and private bay and beach. You share your stretch of sandy beach with friendly locals, which was one of our favorite parts. You definitely feel isolated in the best sense. It is peaceful, lovely and you feel like a local. No tourist mayhem and price gouging. Just the best of Maui! All bedrooms and bathrooms are well stocked and there are plenty of plush beach towels. The washers and dryers on each floor of the house were so great to have. Everyone adored the décor of the house. . . cool 1940-50s Hawaiian vibe. Colorful and comfortable. I cannot recommend the house enough. Our entire group could not stop talking about the amazing location (we fished from the family room and lounged feet from the ocean in a hammock hung between palms). We took a couple day trips for Molokini Crater snorkeling and surf lessons, but really enjoyed just hangin' at the house. It is an impressive property that does not disappoint.

To say that the photo's don't do this property justice is a huge understatement. The house and the property are significantly better than what the pictures show. The open area on the lower floor is just fantastic for entertaining with large groups. A large portion of the lower floor is wide open to the ocean views and breezes. Most of the lower floor is a very, very large entertaining area. We had at least 20 people there for much of our stay and it could have held double or triple that. There are three rooms upstairs - one huge master suite, and two smaller rooms (one queen and one double full beds, I think). The master bedroom is fantastic - and since we were getting married, it was all ours for an entire week! The master suite even has a huge closet/laundry room of its own. The lower floor has one very large bedroom with a king bed, and it's own washer and dryer setup. The lower floor also has a den where at least two people could sleep, if needed. The house is very large. The location is excellent - just 15 min north of Lahaina, and 15-20 min south of Kapalua. There is a great beach right out in front of the property, but be careful on the slippery stairs! For snorkeling, skip the expensive sub-par boat trips and just drive to Napili Bay (near Sea House restaurant, which is also excellent). The sunsets from the property were incredible. All of the staff were great, from the property manager who helped us with many things, to the gardener who gave coconuts to the kids in our group, to the maintenance guy who helped us more than once. They were all great. We got married on the property in November 2013 and we both feel that our location was absolutely perfect. Every time we left the property I just wanted to go back. Writing this review makes me want to go back. When we return to Maui, we will stay here again.

This house was perfect for our group of family and friends! Hearing the waves 24/7 goes along way towards melting away any pre-vacation anxiety or stress. A little worried at check-in because the house seemed hot ( no a/c) , but that quickly abated when opened up and fans turned on. We especially enjoyed the convenient beach access and local flavor. The pool was much deeper than the pictures lead you to believe and heats up quickly if you need it to for cooler evenings. Love, love, love the gas tiki torches and outdoor kitchen set up. The yard lends plenty of room for sunning and our hired entertainment . The furnishings are practical and comfortable. We will want to inquire about recycling options if we are able to return next year, as we felt a little guilty for not doing our part to keep the island "green".

Very well situated. Many very good restaurants nearby. Plenty of towels and sheets. Appliances are working, but some are very old and noisy. Bedrooms do not have air-conditioning. Plenty of nice breezes. Not a problem of heat, but air-conditioning would have been nice to exclude bugs! Great nearby beaches!

We are a family of 12, 8 adults and 4 teenagers. The property sleeps 10 comfortably, and 12 in a pinch-one family shared the upstairs, very large master which has a king size bed as well as twin beds. The living area is spacious, the kitchen well equipped, dining area seats 10-12. We cooked every night. We really did not want to leave to go out. We enjoyed the sunsets and the whale watching in the late afternnon. The property is close to all the great snorkeling and surfing beaches north of Lahaina and the bay in front of house is great for paddle boarding or kayaking. this was our 3rd visit to this house and we hope to go back.

The Maui Beach house is truly a special place. We have rented it three times and always look forward to our next trip. The lay out of the house is perfect for large groups. It is so close to the ocean that you could get splashed while you are enjoying a cocktail at the beautiful bar. Deanna was wonderful to work with.
