You could sit on front deck and hear and see the waves at the beach and feel the breeze! The pool was awesome and big enough for several people at one time!! Close enough for shopping and dining.

Mike & Diane,
who wants to leave ???
"the house is great and not having to share the pool was the best feature since spending all day at the beach and all evening at the pool wears you down. by the second day my daughter was asking when we were going home ( speaking of the Fins Up house ) .
you can see and hear the waves crash on the shoreline from the front patio. one of few house that has a beach view that are not on the beach.
House was very clean and stocked with really nice pans and dishes, not "budget-ware". the hammock in the pictures is no longer there and the phone was MIa also. But that was nice since we really didn't want to return any phone calls, but had an emergency come up it would have been nice to have.
there are child locks on the pool gate and the decks though the ones on the deck face so that it is easy for the kids to get out, they have a locking function but no key was provided. If they were facing the opposite direction it would give more peace of mind to those of us with special need children. And make it easier when coming up the stairs with groceries.
the master bath leaks water on to the floor because the house has unblievable water pressure and the water finds its way around the curtain.
the drain for the Hvac unit could be rerouted so that water does not build up on the walkway - it stays slippery and the kids fell on it twice.
also Hvac unit never shut off even though i completely turned the unit off ... better cold than hot i suppose.
These are all minor details and i plan on coming back to stay again very soon at Fins Up. the location is awesome and the staff answered the phone everytime i called with a question. and were extremely friendly"
Beautiful beach right across street, huge private pool in backyard!
"This is a beautiful house with an unobstructed gulf view, private salt water pool & great location close to eating & activities. Huge living room, big covered porch, all kid safe with safety rails everywhere. This is our 2nd year in a row, & we will be back. Bring all your spices, condiments, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, etc. There is no shade over the pool so bring plenty of umbrellas."

First time to Gulf Shores
"Can't say enough about this house! When we arrived it was very clean and inviting. The bedrooms have plenty of closet space and are even nicer than pictured. The kitchen is filled with all of the items you'll need to prepare any type of meal. Only thing I would say is that you may want to bring your own sharp knife if you'll be doing a lot of cutting in your cooking prep, as theirs were pretty dull. Also, they did not have very many tupperware containers so we just used ziplocks that we brought with us. The house also has a charcoal grill which we used frequently. Beach entry is directly across the street and we set up our tent and chairs upon arrival and were able to keep them up night and day all week without anyone bothering or taking our items... most people did the same. The salt water pool was a fantastic amenity and there was plenty of chairs and pool room for the 9 people in our party. There is not any shade at the pool but if you bring a beach umbrella, you can attach it to the fence for a small bit of relief. We had excellent service from the folks at itrip as well. There were a couple minor issues that popped up with a toilet handle and bed rails, and they were there to fix things within the hour both times. This house is also very close to a small liquor/grocery store for quick odds and ends, a fantastic seafood store, and only a couple miles from the heart of Gulf Shores (restaurants, shops, Walmart, public beaches, pier, etc). I would highly recommend this house to anyone!!"

"Our stay was a family vacation and the house was awesome! The room was clean and had so much space. The private pool was great and loved the front and back decks. Loved that it was right across the road from the beach and the beach was never crowded. Not a far drive to restaurants or shopping. We will definitely be returning!"

Fantastic Rental House
"Let me first say I am very picky. This house met or exceeded all of our expectations. Very easy access to the beach right across 2 lane road that dead ends several miles down so traffic was not bad. Unobstructed view of the ocean from the covered front porch. Our kids absolutely loved the loft with cozy beds and large TV. Very spacious open floor plan and very clean. Only 2 miles to shopping and the popular restaurants. In my opinion, the pictures do not do the pool justice. I was a little concerned about the feel of the small fenced in area. Well it turned out to be great! The pool is very large and very clean and plenty of room to hang out and play - fantastic! If you want to nitpick, there are a few items such as the coffee pot, downstairs bedroom TVs, and the noisy twin beds that could be improved but nothing detracted from our wonderful stay. The only bad thing was how sad we were when we had to leave. I definitely recommend this house and I would rent it again."
