Pull into the covered parking & unload directly into the elevator. With an inverted floor plan, the first floor has four bedrooms, and the upper floor has the kitchen, dining area, living area, and two bedrooms. Both floors have exceptional 180° ocean views from their covered porches. Step out & you’ll exclaim, “What A Sight to Sea!”
On the first level, the sun deck is a swim spa pool with hot tub seating, which adds an extra layer of luxury to your getaway. This therapeutic combination gives the gentle resistance of a smooth current for laps & seated hydro massaging jets to soothe & relax you to yet another level. With this oceanfront vacation home, you never have to worry about searching for or paying for parking. There are 5 spaces for you & your guests. You don’t even have to move your car because you are within walking distance to several eateries & the Publix grocery store.
The upper level is flanked with large windows overlooking the ocean to bathe the living areas with natural light. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas stove with double ovens, drip coffee maker, mini food chopper, hand blender, 4 slice (bagel-sized) toaster & a Ninja blender for those frozen beverages on a warm sunny day. The under-the-counter wine & beverage cooler in the living area will keep all your drinks iced cold & save precious space in the kitchen fridge. With the large kitchen island & counterspace behind it, there’s lots of area for all the cooks as they prepare & serve whatever’s on the menu. The island seats 4. The roomy pantry will keep your provisions within reach. Dine overlooking the water either inside at the dining table (8) or alfresco at the table on the upper level porch (6). Also, on the covered porches, there is plenty of seating with side tables to enjoy your coffee in the mornings or perhaps a glass of wine in the evenings. OKI is a south-facing beach which allows for photo-worthy sunrises & sunsets over the water.
The spacious living area has lots of comfy seating around a large screen smart TV (with cable) for movie nights. There are several family-friendly games & puzzles when gathering for gaming sessions. Also on this upper level are 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds & a shared hall bath which also has an entrance to one of the bedrooms.
The other 4 bedrooms are on the first level. Two overlook the ocean with sliding glass doors to the covered porch & sun deck with the swim spa / hot tub. One is the primary with a king bed, walk-in closet & en suite with a double vanity & glass door step-in shower with a grab bar. The bedroom on the other side of the hall has a queen bed & its en suite has a tub/shower combination. Bedroom 3 has 2 twin beds & the cutest frog lamp. The 4th bedroom has a queen bed & en suite with a tub/shower combination. There is a half bath & full-sized washer/dryer on this level.
We are a pet-free property in the interests of guests who may be allergic. All iTrip properties have a complimentary “First Night Essentials” bag. Unlike many local rental homes, beds will be made with fresh sheets when you arrive. No need to strip the beds at the end of your stay. Also, with iTrip, sheets & towels (kitchen & bath) are provided at no extra cost.
Oak Island is a family-oriented beach with a large variety of activities. Choose from the sand & sun, 2 Piers, museums, nature parks, walkways over the marsh, kayak launches & Middleton Park Complex – Year round: Pickleball, Tennis, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Skate Park, Playgrounds, Swings & Picnic Tables. Seasonal: Outdoor Concert Venue/Food Trucks; Splash Pad; Farmer’s/Artisan Markets; Short drive to iconic landmark OKI Lighthouse; 30 minutes to the Quaint Town of Southport. There is a large variety of restaurants, shopping opportunities & 2 Grocery Stores on the Island. You can rent bikes & golf carts.
Nearby Southport is a walking town. Park & within a short stroll are eateries from breakfast, lunch, coffee to diners, seafood with a view, & upscale dinner. In the heart of Southport, you can visit various beautiful parks, art galleries, museums, the visitor center & charming shops. One could spend an entire day browsing all the unique little gift stores, antique shops & boutiques. Sit in the swings on the waterfront. 3. Zero pets allowed. Owner is allergic and will not make any exceptions. Breaking this house rule will reult in a $1200+ fine for remediation of the property.
4. No diving in the pool. You are responsible for everyone staying in the home. iTrip and owners are not liable for any injuries that occur.
5. No unregistered guests allowed.
6. Please don’t eat or drink in the bedrooms.
7. Please respect the noise curfew for Oak Island which is 11pm. This is a quiet area and request quiet hours of 4pm-8am. This includes loud music/ sounds or talking that escalates beyond normal conversation. Please use common sense and respect the neighbors on the street. For many of them this is their home.
8. Please do not turn AC temperature lower than 68 degrees.
9. Please respect check-in and check-out times.
10. Please take care of the furnishings and appliances in the house. You will be responsible to pay for damages that may happen during your stay.
11. Please don’t rearrange the furniture.
12. Please make sure all dishes are clean and properly put away before checking out. (Dish washer pods can be found in your welcome bag)
13. Please empty the trash and recycling bins inside the home into their respective larger outdoor bins.
14. No illegal substances allowed on the premises (including any legalized synthetics mimicking illegal drugs)
15. Keep off ocean facing floodlights when possible.
16. Children are not permitted to use the elevator with out an adult present.
