1-807 - Ocean Sands

We had an amazing 3-week stay at the Ocean Sands Condo Unit. The interior Unit pictures are a true depiction of the unit. It also has picturesque ocean views, sea life sitings and comfortable accommodations plus many of the little things you need to make it feel like home. The iTrip management team was outstanding! They were just a text message away day or night and very responsive and pleasant to work with. I’d recommend the Condo Unit and the iTrip management team over and over again! The Unit also comes with beach chairs, towels and other beach/pool supplies that were such a great add-on. I happily give the Unit 5-stars but to be completely transparent I must admit a few issues we would love for the owners to consider! (1) Locking off the closet in the primary bedroom/bathroom left us having to use the closet in the #2 bedroom. It was very inconvenient and just unaccommodating and this fact was not disclosed in the Unit info. It would have been a deal breaker for me. Maybe consider locking off 1/2 of the closet so the renters have a place to hang clothes that are easily accessible? To be fair iTrip went out of there way to try to find an alternate solution but I’m not the type to be able to live with my clothes hanging on a rolling rack in the bedroom so I just dealt with the use of the other closet. (2) Based on the pics I noticed that there were no lamps in the Unit. Prior to our rental I asked iTrip if they’d be willing to add them and they agreed without hesitation. They were added prior to our arrival adding one in the living space and 2 in the primary bedroom. (3) There is no security lock on the inside of the door and that just leaves a bit of an uneasy feeling. We have no idea who has the digital access to the Unit and when sleeping we came up with a makeshift thing to put at the door that would wake us should the door open. A simple hotel stop lock installed would work perfectly. And finally (4) there were just several little things like…no lamp over dining table, no coasters for drinks on wood tables, no placemats or oven mitts. A small safe in one of the closets would also be a welcomed addition. These all may seem picky but I just wanted to be real in this review. We went out and bought coasters, placemats and oven mitts and other little things we were missing. We were there for 3-weeks and it’s the little things that sometimes leave a glaring impression on you! None of this is to say that this wasn’t a fantastic unit, with beautiful views and overall comfortable accommodations! We’ll be back for sure and look forward to working with iTrip. Rent it, you won’t be disappointed! One last thing…the Daiquiri bar across the street has fantastic frozen drinks and a great staff! 🙂
