Every bedroom has direct access to a deck with comfortable furniture and great views.

Not only will you find luxury at Tranquility Base, but privacy and room to enjoy your surroundings. With 5 large decks, you can watch the wildlife in Fort Fisher Park that borders the property, or have a relaxing dinner at one of the two 6 seat dining areas. Have a few friends over to enjoy all the space at Tranquility Base, there is plenty of parking.

*NO SMOKING allowed at this property (that includes NO vaping)

*This is a DOG FRIENDLY HOME: A non-refundable Pet fee of $250 will be added to your rental if you choose to bring your dog. 2 Dogs Pet Fee is $350

*Please make yourself aware of our cancellation policy. Insurance is highly recommended.

*Maximum Occupancy: 12 Occupants - Children must be counted within the maximum occupancy unless they are under the age of two (2) and are sleeping in a crib.

*Tenant Requirements: Tenant stated on the Agreement/Booking must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age, and acknowledge that they will occupy the Property during the entire tenancy.

*No events or parties- If determined that a party/event is taking place at property, management has the right to evict tenants and guests with no refund given.

*If determined that a party took place on any of the nights reserved, reservation guest will be charged $500, no exceptions!

*No uninvited guests without permission

Security Alert: Please note that there are 3 Surveillance Cameras located on the exterior of the home and these cameras will not be activated during your stay. Although the cameras may be used to confirm arrival and departure of guests and will be activated once guests depart.

Cancellation 60 days or more before your stay will receive a refund less the cancellation fee of $350. Cancellation 60 days or less before your stay will not receive a refund unless the same dates are re-booked. If that occurs you will receive a refund less the cancellation fee of $350. Additional details with regards to cancellation policies and procedures may be found in Section #15 of the Rental Agreement as provided at checkout.

Your family and friends will Thank You! We planned this escape from our busy lives months ago, but after Hurricane Helene back home, this mini-vacay took on a whole new respite. This House is Truly a Private Waldorf Astoria amongst a Sea of Motel 6! My friends and I booked a week at this amazingly large beach house. It’s a 2 minute walk to the beach. Kure beach off season is nice. 20 min walk to Carolina beach board walk. Small town vibes. quiet. 11 adults and 1 dog and we never felt on top of each other. the beds were great they all seem to be Memory foam. the master suite was amazing with access to two decks. everything we needed. even games. ITrip staff was on top of communication and very helpful. would book again.

This was my family's 5th time staying at Tranquility Base at Kure Beach, and everything at the house was great! It ended up being a very rainy weekend, but we were able to have a relaxing time staying indoors at the house. Due to the storm that came through, on the day we were leaving we were stuck due to flooding and the hosts were very flexible with us and allowed us to stay until we could get on the roads which was amazing since we were traveling with a pup and 6-month old baby. Our stays here have always been great and they always responded to us very quickly which we appreciated very much!

I must say the name of this home says it all! We are not one to be around a lot of people and usually come down and stay out on Fort Fisher 4 wheel drive beach everyday. This home is away from it all and even during Memorial Day weekend, we felt like we were the only one's on the island while at Tranquility Base. It's very spacious and had so much more than we would ever use. Ample parking (my husband's 2500 PowerWagon fit under the garage). Communication was on point with the rental company. Although we didn't experience any issues during our stay, they made sure we knew we could reach out to them anytime. We will stay again!

Tranquility base was the perfect house for the entire family for our vacation! We were so comfortable. There was plenty of space to relax. Being able to take our two Golden Retrievers was a plus! The beach access was a 5-10 minute walk based on the speed. We got used to it. The only thing better would be if the house was on the beach with direct access. Overall a great place to stay!

Tranquility Base is indeed a great place for some rest and relaxation. Our family of six had a great time and the house was just perfect for us. What an amazing place for large (and small) families to get together an enjoy each others company in a very comfortable and quiet setting. We had a great visit during the week of Thanksgiving. It was just what we needed. It was so nice arriving to a Christmas tree with a beach theme. The layout allowed us to spread out and really enjoy ourselves but also have some space. Beds were comfy and the many porches were super nice. No complaints. The only thing I would note is that the walk to the beach is a little longer than described - not much but a little longer, something I thought I'd mention. However, without a doubt we would return again. It was so clean too, something that is really important to our family. If you are looking for a place to rent, look no further!

Enjoyed Tranquility Base with my family. Much needed vacation for everyone. The beach house was beautifully decorated. Appliances up to date. Balconies galore! And screened in porches! Loved it! No complaints! Plenty of chairs/tables for game nights. Check in/out booklet was resourceful as well as communication went smoothly. I received an email a week in advance as well as a txt message from the number I needed to txt if I needed anything. Plenty of rooms and beds for the amount of people that went. We had 2- one year olds and of course we held them when we walked to the beach. The beach access was a decent walk from the beach house. Maybe less than a 5 minute walk. We used the beach wagon that was available which made the walk manageable. Gas grill was used. The only thing I did not like and am sadden by- we were unable to play cornhole or use the outside tables and enjoy the ambient lighting provided while my dad BBQ’d. The mosquitoes ate us alive so we opted to playing games inside the well air conditioned home. My parents are aging so this was a beautiful home away from home for them to enjoy. Also Fort Fisher and the aquarium is a quick drive away to venture to. I would definitely go back and make more memories!

This beach home was even more luxurious than we’d anticipated. It was spacious, sparkling clean, comfortable for both sleeping and for hanging out as a family, and located in a perfect place. Quiet but only minutes to walk to the beach, we heard the ocean when we were sitting on one of the many porches. The kitchen couldn’t have been better stocked, with every imaginable pot, pan, utensil, and dishes. It just fit our needs perfectly and I hope we can return for more tranquility in the future.

Very well equipped w/ plates, bowls, cups, utensils, and cookware which was great between dishwashing cycles. Loved the open living area space for everyone to hang out and the screened in patio areas to be outside w/o too many bugs. It was also great being able to bring my dog! The outside area had dog bags available and he loved being on the outside patio areas as well. The ITrip folks were very communicative/helpful via text about check-in/out instructions and questions. Walk to beach was not bad at all and not busy which was great for a July 4th trip!

Had a lovely Christmas stay at Tranquility Base with my immediate family. They allowed for an early checkin and the space was everything as advertised. We were there over Christmas so they even had a beach themed Christmas tree set up. The only downside was the shower water could have been warmer. Otherwise a great stay and would highly recommend.

Our growing family rented 2 Kure Beach rentals this year. We all enjoyed the clean and comfortable beds, the great kitchen for our holiday dinner and 80th birthday party for my husband. We loved this home. It was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. The home was immaculate. The beds were so comfortable and everything was perfect for our family. There was so much room that our crew never felt crowded. The group at iTrip was amazing also. They responded so quickly when I had a question. We were prepared to pull our trash to the road and someone from itrip arrived and pulled our trash cans to the road for us. That is just unheard of. I will definitely use them again when I am searching for a vacation home Thank you for providing such a lovely house to use as our home for a few days. We will definitely be back. The host is very hospitable. The location is very private, and a short walk to the beach access makes it simple. The house was very clean, everything was operational and functional. Outdoor shower is very practical, which kept the house clean during our stay. The AC was working well to keep the house comfortable, and all the appliances worked fine. Tranquility base was a wonderful place to stay for our family of 12 + 2 babies. It is in a secluded area which made it great for kids to play. The house was very clean and the proprietors made it very welcoming and easy to communicate with them. The beach was within easy walking distance and not at all crowded. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with iTrips and our family vacation at Tranquility Base at Kure Beach, NC. The house was amazing, spacious and bright, and exceptionally clean. Every detail was exactly as promised and the staff went the extra mile! Upon arrival we were greeted with balloons and a homemade sign for my daughter as we were celebrating her 18th birthday and high school graduation. Every room had a private porch or deck! The weather was perfect and the cicadas added to the evening ambience. We hope to return for future family vacations! 5 stars!!!!

It was our second stay at this place and we again found this house beautiful, sparkling clean, light and bright!. The management were so nice and welcomed us with a specially designed greeting poster on the door. We were very touched by this sweet gesture. We loved all beaches around this area; enjoyed the local aquarium which has great diversity of species, and a small park to enjoy a beautiful scenery. Tranquility Base is the right name for it. Plenty of room and quiet to escape. My kids gasped at its beauty when we first walked in. Just a short walk to the beach, very short drive to the aquarium. Very responsive owner. We’ll see you again Tranquility Base!

What an incredible experience our family had! From walking in the door, Tranquility Base lived true to its word and provided a sense of tranquility right away. This home is wonderfully kept, with beautiful art and all the amenities you could need. Though we stayed during winter, we enjoyed a short walk to the beach and seeing the waves. The owners are so lovely and helpful via text and have the sweetest knickknacks around. You can tell there are many laughs and lovely shared memories here. It is also wonderful they are friendly to our fur babies as well. We can’t experience how appreciative we are to be able to share tranquility as a full family together we are. We absolutely recommend the visit!!

Our family spent Thanksgiving week at Tranquility Base. We couldn’t have found a better location nor house amenities for our active lifestyle. We came to fish, kayak, bike, walk on the beach and capture sunsets and sunrises. There was plenty of parking and under house storage for all of our big outdoor toys. We lived the ability to eat outside under the house and we enjoyed both the front porch and the screened in porches. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes for cooking and eating. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the fluffy towels. Thank you Itrip vacations for providing the perfect house for us!

Thoroughly enjoyed beautiful and relaxing weekend at Tranquility Base. House in great location , local management easy to work with. Had a couple of minor issues (toilet in master running continuously) and notified management who worked to schedule a convenient time to repair. The mosquitos were out and biting but that’s expected at this time of year in coastal NC. I would agree with other poster that it’s definitely time for some new beach chairs but appreciate having anything available to use. Can’t wait to come back.

The inside of the house was nice and as presented. It was well stocked with amenities. The outside decks and were certainly in need of repair. Beware - there are nails popping out everywhere. Do not allow your little ones to run out without shoes. The splintering and rust needs attention. Also, know that there are devil flies outside that will bite, sting and swell. Also, kiddos beware of all the spiders. The amenities in the locked storage are a joke and well worn. Bring your own. All in all, not a bad place. Oh, if you bring dogs ... know that the beach is not dog friendly this time of year. You can’t take them.

Our family of 12 (3 couples with 2 kids each) enjoyed our stay at Tranquility Base very much! It was spacious and clean with plenty of room for everyone. The added bonus is it was within walking distance to a public beach access point! Also, there was plenty of room for the kids to play outside in the evening. Tranquility Base is absolutely the perfect name for this amazing, wonderful space. Unlike other properties on the island it is nestled among trees and provides spectacular views and peaceful, calming time to relax. It is beautifully upscale, but completely livable. We could not have enjoyed our stay any more. Our family gathered to see our daughter, son-in-law and children before they are transferred to San Antonio. This was the perfect space to do so. It is spacious, with two dining areas inside and more outside. Beautiful wrap around decks with three screen porches. A wonderful gas stove in the kitchen, a grill. The bedrooms are beautiful and huge! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tranquility Base and can't wait to go back!

This was our second stay at Tranquility Base in about 8 weeks. Beautiful home in fabulous Kure Beach. I brought my daughter and son and my daughters boyfriend. More than enough space! Master bedroom is spacious, comfortable and the bathroom is over the top nice. We love the location of being a short walk to the beach access and far enough back for peace and quiet. I would live in the House year round and I don’t say that about many rentals. Kitchen is very nice but could use some baking pans and a couple of mixing bowls. We will definitely be back as we always have a relaxing and enjoyable time and look forward to coming back soon!

Our stay at Tranquility Base was everything we hoped for. The booking process was easy and the communication was top notch. The home easily accommodated our party of 12 plus a dog and was clean and spacious. The walk to the beach took less than 5 minutes. We rented this house for my daughters graduation weekend from UNCW. It was absolutely beautiful! The screened porches/decks gave lots of extra outside room. The outside sitting area under the house was a perfect hangout spot! We really appreciated the access to beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, and bikes! This was a nice extra touch. We had such a fantastic stay in this beautiful home!! The house is so well finished and there is a lot of thought gone into the extra details. Its in a great location which is just across the street from the beach. The house feels very homey and there is a lot of space and seating for everyone - both inside and out (there are several screened porches). Its also pretty rare to find a house with four equally great bedrooms. I would definitely stay here again! It really is as beautiful as it looks in the photos!

“Tranquility Base” is a beautifully designed house and is expertly managed and maintained by a friendly, responsive team. A very nice residential section of Kure Beach is easily accessible by a ten minute walk to a public access boardwalk. Tranquility Base is beautifully designed and well equipped with easy access to the beach. The landscaping is lovely with well maintained mature oaks gracing the sides of the property adding privacy and shade. We were very impressed with the inspection team who were just leaving as we arrived. They were welcoming and answered all of our questions requarding house details. Supervisor, Linda, wrote a list of best local eateries, fresh produce stands, and entertainment venues. We are impressed! Thank you!

We enjoyed our week at Tramquility Base so much that we want to book this home every year! This was one of the prettiest and most comfortable places we have ever stayed at! The inside was beautiful with hardwood floors, large rooms wit very nice furniture and linens. The kitchen had everything we needed. Two grills and nice outdoor furniture, screened in porches outside each bedroom and off the dining room and kitchen. We had large T.V.'s in all the bedrooms too, with all movie stations. We enjoyed bicycles, beach chairs and games. We give this hone 10 stars!

This is one of the nicest and most beautiful places we have stayed in. Very clean, new linens, everything we could possibly need in the kitchen, wood floors, decor is beautiful. Although furniture and decor is nice and elegant, we could not feel anymore more comfortable and at home. The back and side yard was big and neat with great outdoor furniture. Love it here! Very hot outside but nice and cool inside! We will definitely want to stay here again. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!

The house is a great size for the 3 of us and our 4 legged friends. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and short drive to the aquarium. All of the decks and enclosed porch space is great and we can see much enjoyment out of it when the weather is a little warmer. Since it was cooler during out stay when greatly enjoyed using the fireplace in the evening. We would def. stay here again and I recommend this place to anyone.

We visited Kure Beach for a long weekend. We arrived at the home and found it to be perfect. It could not have been cleaner or better equipped. It has a very nice kitchen and the home is nicely decorated. The floors are beautiful wood and the furniture is in great shape. The bathrooms are all beautifully tiled and the bedrooms are very large with a deck off each room. The master suite has a king foam mattress which was very comfortable. The master bath was huge with a whirlpool tub and large shower. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV and cable. The living room has a large flat screen. There is outdoor seating on the ground level and a dining table on the first level which is screened in to keep the flies and mosquitoes out. Inside is another large dining table. They also have an outdoor shower. In five minutes you can walk to Fort Fisher and in one minute you can be on the beach. The ferry to Southport is just 10 minutes south and well worth the $10 round trip cost per car. If you are visiting the area take a close look at Tranquility Base. It is super nice home in a great location.

Spending the weekend at this house was an absolute dream!! This house is very clean and decorated in the most tasteful way imaginable. The house itself is very large and perfect for families. Everything is very well thought out inside and out. There are many several decks where you can sit and enjoy this beautiful house, as well as the peaceful, quiet surroundings. The ocean was a short walk from the house. The outside area of this house includes a grill and an outdoor shower, perfect for a quick rinse-off after the beach. The inside is updated with the best appliances in the kitchen and TVs in all the rooms. This house is a short distance from many local restaurants and the Fort Fisher Historic Site. I recommend this house for your perfect beach getaway!

Everything about the house was just perfect. It is nicely furnished, clean, and convenient. The house truly lives up to the name Tranquility Base. It is located in a calm, peaceful part of the Kure Beach, and it is surrounded by mature trees. It also has a lot of parking space which we needed since we were having a family reunion. Other members of our extended family rented places nearby, but this place became the place to be. It is pet friendly too. We enjoyed our time in this lovely house! It had so many perks that made our stay comfortable and easy. The house is extremely well decorated. The foam matrasse in our bedroom was very comfortable.
