With two levels of panoramic windows looking out over miles of pristine beaches found nowhere else in the Great Northwest, the Shoreline Beach House is the perfect vacation getaway that you have been looking for! Just walk out your door to some of the most gorgeous beaches and magnificent sunsets of orange, gold and pink right on the Florence Oregon Coast!

This outstanding 2-story home comes complete with just about all of the amenities and appointments that you will need for your stay. If you don’t feel like cooking, the Shoreline Beach House is just a short stroll from Surfside Restaurant at the Driftwood Shores Resort.

The Shoreline Beach House is located on Heceta Beach, this one-of-a-kind coastline offers miles and miles of pristine beaches as far as the eye can see. For those who love the sand, bring your quads and ATVs to the sand dunes just a couple minutes south of town. Visit Old Town Florence and explore the wonderful bistros, restaurants, galleries, and shops along Bay Street. Just a few minutes north along the coast and you’ll find the world famous and often photographed Heceta Head Lighthouse as well as Sea Lion Caves! For the avid fisherman, bring your boats and watercraft and test your skills on one of the 27 lakes in the Florence area sporting some of the best trophy bass. Still trying to land that trophy steelhead, well don’t forget salmon season on the Siuslaw River.

Heceta Beach:

A beautiful long sandy beach that's a popular location for families and leisurely beach strolls. Walk south toward the Harbor Vista Park and Jetty or North beyond the Driftwood shores restaurant for a more private stroll while looking for whales and other sea life or combing the sand for sea shells and enjoying the incredible scenery of the majestic Oregon Coast.

The Heceta Beach Lane County Park is the most “official” entrance to this beautiful beach and located just steps out your front door. A wide path just beyond the parking area leads to the sand and ocean.

Heceta Head Lighthouse:

Situated high above the Pacific Ocean on the rugged Heceta Head outcropping is one of the most popular and inspirational sites on the Oregon Coast; and it is only about 10 scenic miles north of Florence. It is a must-see among must-sees here in Oregon’s Coastal Playground. One of the most beautiful, and most photographed lighthouses in the world.

Since March 30, 1894, from its perch 205 feet above the ocean, this 56-foot-tall working lighthouse has cast its beam more than 20 miles out to sea, making it the brightest light on the Oregon coast.

Throughout its intriguing and colorful past, the lighthouse watched over many attending families, safely guided passing personal, commercial, and military vessels, oversaw the construction of Highway 101, hosted a WWII military outpost and Lane Community College’s satellite campus, and blessed many a wedding ceremony.

The lighthouse underwent a major, and historically accurate, restoration between 2011 and 2013.

The leisurely walk to the lighthouse is a quarter-mile uphill from the inn, which itself is a quarter mile from the public parking area. There is an interpretive center and gift shop with books, souvenirs, and other themed items as you begin the walk from the inn to the lighthouse.

Heceta Head Lighthouse is 11 miles north at Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint. Day use parking is $5 or is covered by a $35 Oregon Coast Passport permit available at state parks.

Parking: Room for at least 6 vehicles with plenty of room to turn around. Slight Uphill gravel road driveway!

We love the location. Perfect size and layout for our family. Upstairs has great view and is nice and bright. See that updates have been made since our last visit. Good memories had here in the past. Two suggestions…. Couldn’t find a toaster and some mold in one bathroom tub.

Spring break 24

Beach is our go to place for many reasons and this beach house make our stay comfy with all rooms and bathrooms. The view from up stairs was amazing and the telescope allowed us to watch the ships and the whales as they head north. Not a fancy place but very cozy. Well stocked kitchen and lots of room for everyone.

Nice place

When we arrived we could not get the lockbox opened. We struggled for over an hour. I called the two numbers listed and left messages. I sent an email. Finally someone came to help and we found out the lockbox we were struggling with was the old one, the new one was on the post across from the old box. Our fault but a sign over the old one (or it’s removal) would be helpful. It would also be helpful if the office hours didn’t end right at check-in. The rug in front of the dishwasher was soaking wet which made to tile floor very slippery. We used LOTS of towels to soak it up throughout our visit. I sent a note and the office offered to send maintenance out but we opted to wait until, after we checked out. Everything else was great and we enjoyed our stay despite the minor issues.

Beautiful home and everything they said it was

We found our house manager to be very communicative during the entire process. When we arrived we found the house well lighted the tv tuned to a music channel playing welcome music. The bedrooms are very spacious, the water hot and the kitchen very workable for 3 adults. The upstairs has a wonderful view of the ocean. It has a wonderful gaming table and seating for 6 comfortably. We will be certainly be looking into a trip again next year.
