the unit was spacious and great for all of us. It did need some UPDATING....master bedroom king bed mattress was so hard it felt like concrete. the living room furniture needs to be donated to the Goodwill and replaced. The view of the Gulf was fantastic and is a great location. I would definitely go back but get a different room. We were in 616......not a good unit for anyone with a wheelchair as there are little stairs to get to any of the rooms.

There are a couple of steps inside the condo. So sorry if that gave you any trouble. We will make sure the bed is inspected and will replace if needed. Thank you!

During our getaway, four couples gathered at this spacious condo for an extended weekend stay. The condo provided plenty of room for us to all convene together but not feel as though we were on top of one another while milling about. With three bathrooms, we were all easily able to primp and get ready without having to wait for the restroom to clear. The views from all of the windows were amazing. With the bay on one side and the ocean on the other... it was a win-win no matter which way you were looking. Beautiful sunrises over the water on the bay and captivating sunsets over the ocean in the evenings. The location of the condo was also a plus! We ventured on foot to many tiki bars with fun atmospheres as well as a couple local breweries. And the grocery store is only a quick Uber/Lyft ride. Quick needs are easily attainable on foot via the local convenience stores and ABC store. We would definitely stay here again!

The unit had a beautiful view. Our family enjoyed the time we spent together. As for the condition of the unit, that was a different matter. The bottom of everyones feet were black within several minutes. A call was made to the service #. They arrived the next day and did a great job cleaning the floors. We went the rest of the time with no floor problems so obviously they had not been cleaned before our arrival. The most significant concern was lack of electrical outlets. There was no light near the dining table so our meals were eaten in near darkness. There was even a sticker of an outlet on one wall. I cant believe the unit passed electrical inspection. As for supplies - There was a hodgepodge of dishes and pans. There were no measuring spoons or cookie sheet. There was no mop or storage containers of any kind. The vacuum cleaner was relatively useless. Thank goodness for the broom. The shades did not work in the hall or bedrooms near the entrance. Thus adding to the overall darkness of the unit. I could go on and on but cant see the point of continuing. You get the picture. I understand the unit had been sold. If the new owners plan to rent I hope that they will take better care of the unit.

The unit is not as shown in photos , it is old and aged and very dirty, the walls are dark with dirt and the kitchen is terrible shape, there bathrooms are not clean , had to wear shoes to have a shower , there were bugs in the u it that we killed, there was huge pools of water at door way so our shoes got wet every time. We paid a cleaning fee for this unit and there is no way anything was cleaned, this gets a 0 out of 10 , do not stay here , over priced unit with fake pictures

On the upside: Island Inn itself was reminiscent of old Florida style beach front hotel with pool and pool bar, decent location. The room appearance was nice and the full kitchen certainly a bonus for a family of 5 and the ocean view was amazing! Downside: Couch practically bottomed out when sat on, toilet in entrance hall was un-attached at base and almost fell over when used. Hole in wall behind toilet. Big hole in wall behind toilet. about a 12" x 12" hole in drywall in master closet, master bed was like sleeping on a board, could not get a good nights sleep. Only one elevator working. After the 3rd night, I called the # on the refrigerator approximately 7:45am to request some clean towels since the Island Inn would not trade them out because we were renting through an outside agency. Also a couple of rolls of toilet paper to make sure we didn't run out during our stay. The lady who answered through Tripadvisor, assured me that someone would be calling me to find out exactly what I needed and would take care of it. I had not received a call, so I called again about 10:30. The lady I spoke with apologized that no one returned my call and said she would put me up to a priority one and someone would be calling me. At 11:18am I received a text message via phone that said "paper towels an toilet paper an towels replenished during stay". I figured it was and autoresponse and everything was replenished. After calling my son in the room, he said that no one had been there. So I texted back to the # that the text came from with a full towel count of what needed to be traded out. The message that came back was "we do not replenish towels, toilet paper. There is a washer an dryer on property". I thought there must be some kind of error relayed through text as it sometimes happens. The last thing i want to do on vacation is mind laundry at the on site laundry mat. So I put another call in to the management company for the property manager to call me, not text. I FINALLY received a call back at 8:12pm from a man who "uh huh'd" me through my whole conversation. He said that maybe I would be better off booking at a higher rate through the resort if I want towel replenished. I would happily pay more to not worry about laundry. It was not about having to laundry my dirtied towels at that point, it was the fact that no one simply told me that in the first two phone calls and would not afford me the courtesy of a call back until almost bed time.

So sorry for any misunderstanding. As a vacation rental condo, daily maid service is not provided and the Guest is responsible for any necessary laundry or replenishment of items like toilet paper or paper towels during their stay. Glad you enjoyed the pool and location and the amazing beaches!

Beautiful beach. Condo leaves a lot to be desired. Maintenance had to be called every day. On our first day there were several lightbulbs missing you couldnt cook, use a closet or see in the main living area because the bulbs were totally missing. On day two of the vacation the digital cable went out and their way of fixing it was to disconnect the digital box in day 3 and connect it to basic hotel cable. We are figuring a bill had not been paid. Then the hotel was kind enough to give us their Wi-Fi passcode since the owners digital cable and Wi-Fi or no longer available. The hotel maintenance attempted to fix things when I-trip maintenance didnt. We had to have our key cards re-computerized every day because the system was not working. I have never stayed in a vacation where I ever had to call maintenance and here there was something that needed to be attended to every day. As far as the building goes there is only one elevator to serve six floors and although they say theyre renovating it the notice was dated May 31 and said it would take 3 to 5 weeks but we have never seen any repair people on site and we were staying here the second week of July. I feel totally ripped off.I appreciate the fact that I was able to vacation with my kids and grandchildren but I am embarrassed that this is where I brought them thinking it was really going to be a beautiful condo. I had made that reservation for many many months before they were any negative reviews.

We had a fantastic time at the Island Inn Penthouse! Location was unbeatable, right on the beach! The condo is beautiful; well stocked, adorably decorated and the view is amazing. I couldnt give 5-stars though because of the sleeping arrangements. The sofa bed is unable to be slept on; all springs and bars were extremely uncomfortable. We had eight adults and one couple ended up sleeping on blow up beds because we could not get any sleep on the pullout. The queen bed was also very difficult/uncomfortable to sleep on. Also, the sofa bed and two of the four beds had dirty linens (sand and other dirt were on the sheets so it seemed that they may not have been changed in between stays). If the beds were better cleaned and the sofa bed got a much needed upgrade, this would be a 5-Star property!

We were debating between 2 and 3 stars for this apartment. The location is great, you are right on the beach. but the apartment itself is really run down. first of all: the kitchen: old, the dishwasher is from 1950 and doesn't wash. there is nothing available. the peeler doesn't peel, there are no frying pans, it's almost comical, a kitchen without anything. the toaster is broken. the outlets are old, the mitten for the oven is burnt. no trivets for hot dishes. there is nothing nice about eating in the kitchen. the living room: the couch is old, smells old, sinks in. it's not inviting. the master bedroom and the kids bedroom: you need to know that you will be in the dark for the whole week, the curtains can't be pulled up and even if you could pull one for natural light, you will find yourself saying hi to people walking by. there is no light on the ceilings. the outlets are a joke: we are still trying to find them. on the picture, you see a night stand and a lamp shade but there is no outlets to plug it in. it's just there to look pretty. you can't pull the curtains either. so enjoy the dark! the bedroom with the ocean view: apart from the bed with orange stains under the sheets, looking disgusting, with a cover that has probably never been washed, the view is beautiful. all the bed covers have never been washed. they smell like people who slept in there, and drool and whatever human leftover. you get your sheets and towels for your entire stay, but no balcony for drying, no drying rack for towels. the bath towels and beach towels can get really musty and wet. we have stayed at different places where the owners tried to think of everything to make the stay enjoyable. not here. it's old, run down and not well taken care of. we looked at the unit next door, what a difference! beautiful leather couches, new beds with beautiful bedding etc.. so that's our rating. we won't come back to this unit for sure. on the plus side, itrip customer service is good.

the photo's are little off, yes it does need updating and a good cleaning, sand and dirt under chairs and sofa and beds. There were two lamps in each room but only 1 lamp had a bulb. bathrooms were updated but my grandson slipped in the bathtub and badly bruised his back because it has no slip pad in it, the water pressure was low and took along time to get warm water. plenty of towels, kitchen was good, needed its own washer and dryer going and waiting on the second floor was not cool. only one working elevator made it hard to get up and down from the penthouse floor to pool and gulf. the pool was nice when the adults weren't in it drinking and caring on (not room for the kids) beds were very comfortable. would like to rebook for two years from now same room probably for probably two weeks then. grandkids and families all loved it. Gulf was beautiful and clean. just would like it cleaned up alittle more and the beach chairs are shot and need to be replaced. Thanks for making our vacation a good one. also it should be noted that it is NOT handicapped accessible; why so many steps up and down to bathrooms to bedroom and bathroom to living room and front door?

Upon arrival we found the tile floor throughout the condo to be extremely dirty. It had not been swept or mopped. We notified the guest services contact and they replied quickly and offered to send someone to clean it. They never came. The furnishings in the unit were outdated and very worn. The kitchen dining chairs were badly stained on the upholstered seats and the set needs replaced. The dishwasher is not properly secured and is falling out of the cabinet. The kitchen is not well equipped with supplies but the appliances are newer and nice. It was described that beach chairs were provided. We found 2 fraying beach chairs in this unit that can hold 8 guests. Fortunately, we could rent chairs from a beach vendor. This was important to us as we flew by plane and could bring limited beach items. The facility is in a great location, the pool water was heated perfectly, and the onsite tiki bar is a nice plus. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds were clean and parking was adequate with the overflow lot across the street. We would stay in this complex again, but not this unit.

The floors are mopped each and every time, however, with the constant sea breeze this time of the year, and the close proximity to the main road, the floor gets a fine layer of dust on it every time the doors are opened! It's something the we have struggled with for years!! We will make sure the condo gets a thorough cleanings, and we will make sure the chairs are replaced immediately. Thanks for the feedback!

We were in town for a family wedding. The size of the penthouse was perfect for our family. Being right on the beach was wonderful and we had beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The kids just loved playing on the beach and in the ocean. Thank you for the beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board, buckets, etc that were stored in the huge closet area. Being able to cook and not having to eat out every meal is always a huge plus! All the kitchen appliances were very clean and worked well. We did notice that the hot water never seemed to get very hot in 2 of the 3 showers. In fact in the bathroom right beside the kitchen and master, it only got to barely lukewarm. The water pressure was very poor in that bathroom also, it took forever to get shampoo out of your hair. We did not have any AC while we were there, but since it was February, we just left all the sliders open all the time. We didn't have problems with bugs coming in, and the sound of the ocean at night was soothing. The up and down steps at each bathroom is a bit odd and cause for tripping issues. The floors really need a good thorough cleaning as our feet were black every night. The couches in the living area seemed a bit dingy and either need cleaned or replaced. But even with the issues noted, we really enjoyed the visit and would come back if ever in the area again.

This condo is amazing!!!!!! It’s very spacious and clean & has unbelievable views of the Gulf. My biggest complaint would be the AC not able to keep up with the large space. We brought in our own table top fans which helped a little. Since the whole side of the condo is glass, when the sun starts settting the place heats up very quickly. Other than that it was amazing!

Amazing condo in an amazing location. My husband and I, along with our 4 girls (3 are teens), and my in laws stayed in the Penthouse for 5 nights. There was so much room for all. We originally were going to stay for 4, but was not ready to go home yet. The location was spot on with amazing views. It looked exactly like the pictures. We spotted dolphins every morning from the 6th floor view, but please be careful when enjoying the view, there are no balconies and the railings at the sliding glass doors made me very nervous, a few were wobbly. The pool was nice and heated and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved that there were gas grills for use with no charge, we grilled out a few times on the beach and enjoyed our meals on the patio of the hotel. We also found many shells, a few giant conch, and several sand dollars on the sand bar. The location is at the end of the strip, south, away from all the craziness of Madiera Beach and the busy part of Treasure Island. So it was very peaceful. But it was only a 5 minute drive to John's Pass. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!!!

Steps were hard to navigate at first/ should be marked with tape because it is all the same. Faucets were old, rusty tub, not draining properly, serious dust on bath vents. Accomadations were perfect and the view of the Gulf was spectacular! 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a hideabed were perfect for our group. 3 large windows opened to the Gulf from the kitchen, living room and foreword bedroom for light for gorgeous views and sunsets. The penthouse was clean with necessities needed for a comfortable stay. I would suggest bringing soap for the shower as none was available. Otherwise, everything else was available. Even noodles for the water and an umbrella for the beach. The hotel isn't fancy and the staff could be unfriendly at times, but you are strps away from the beach. There is a small pool and tiki bar on site. We walked on the beach to dinner to Caddies and to Sloppy Joes.
