The Seahorse Cottages were exactly as described and the views off the back and proximity to the beach and Gulf were even better! Our stay was short but we loved every minute of it! This was my first AirBnB experience and Liz and Charles made it almost too easy. Before I could even contact them they sent all the information that was needed and it was simple, quick and priced right! Thanks so much!

My 13 year old son and I truly enjoyed our time in the "Rockin Robin" cottage right on the beach. We loved the location, fire pit, and close proximity to the beach. There's also a kid slide that is fantastically close, practically right out the door and straight to the beach. Renting all of the cabins is an excellent idea for a family reunion or for group lodging. The cabin was clean, cute, and affordable. You can't beat this deal!

Fell in love with these little cottages . I love that I was right on the beach. I like having the comforts of a home and all I have to do is bring my luggage and food. The kitchen had everything I needed to make great meals....and Publix was right across the street.

This rental cottage was exactly what we wanted. It was just steps from the beach as advertised, across the street from a Publix and many restaurants within very close walking distance. If your goal is to be on the beach as much as possible and have a clean place to sleep and have some evening drinks - this is the place for you! It has no frills but had 2 bedrooms and beds, a bathroom and living space, perfect for us!

We loved our stay had a great time met some nice people. Would definitely like to go again next year! It was very relaxing and no one had a problem we all hung out together and listen to music and have a nice bonfire at night. Would definitely recommend this to my friends and family. As a matter of fact we will try and get more than one Cottage next year, so more of my family can be with us!

Rented the cabin for a winter getaway and started planning the trip in April! The pictures of cabin 3 are a bit deceptive. They make the rooms look a lot larger than they really are. Reported a few issues to the manager and only received the response of “thank you”. She didn’t seem very concerned at. Windows allow all the wind to blow thru the cabin. Heaters not functioning. Toilet loose and lifts up when you try to get off of it; not to mention being able to brush your teeth while you are sitting there. LOTS of peeling paint!! I would not recommend this cabin to anyone with small children. The cabins are so close together and the walls so thin you can hear everything that is going on around you. Bring eye covers and ear plugs if you want to get any sleep. Due to rude and unapproachable camp mates we were not able to make use of the fire pit or hang out in the common area much. When reported the manager was not concerned about the fireworks or flame dancer near the cabins. But we did enjoy our time on the beach and in Treasure Island. Just won’t come back to this location again.

Thanks for the comments. All maintenance items you mentioned will be taken care of immediately. Sorry for any disturbances from other Guests. Staying over the New Year holiday can bring out some celebrations on the beach, and we do understand that it can be a bit disruptive. We'll post a couple of signs that hopefully will help a bit. Thanks!

We stayed a week in #3 we were looking for a rustic beach vacation. When we first walked in all three window air conditioners were running because it was hot. The one in the small bedroom was totally unusable because it was so loud I couldn’t sleep! The one in the other bedroom was also loud and spitting black stuff on the bed. The ceiling fan in the small bedroom was also terribly load so unusable. The place is just off of gulf blvd by a traffic light and people rip up and down the street so it’s quit noisy. There are old thin dysfunctional plastic blinds on the windows that don’t go down all the way with lots of street lights so you’ll need eye covers for sleeping. I asked about these two things and the “maintenance man” was going to take the air conditioner out of the window and try and figure out what was the matter with it. I said look at it it’s ancient and needs to be replaced. They brought me a floor fan instead. The two beds were horribly uncomfortable. . I will say the bedding was fine. When we arrived for our 8 night stay there were a few sheets of toilet paper left on the roll and 1 extra roll, there were also 3 smallish bath towels for two of us for the week. There’s no housekeeping while you’re there but A girl was cleaning a different cottage so I asked her about it she said that’s all we get! . The third day we opened the blinds out front and I discovered one of the windows didn’t even lock. It was broke. I told the maintenance man. He rigged it so it locked but it wouldn’t take much to get in those windows. The bathroom is in bad shape the shower head is installed for people who are about 4 feet tall, I’m 5’2” and had to squat to shower. As for the “fully equipped kitchen”. Dream on! There were dishes and coffee cups. There were 3 drinking glasses, 3 or 4 bent old eating utensils and a few things for cooking. The stove and refrigerator were fine. The living room furniture was dirty and uncomfortable . We had to put pillows on the couch to keep from sinking to the springs. The first couple of nights we were able to have a fire in the fire pit with provided wood which we enjoyed. Then the maintenance man came a built a box and put a lock on it so everyday we had to ask for more wood. Then he didn’t leave any out so we called the number provided for maintenance... it was busy for several hours... so we didn’t have a fire on our last night. Right down the beach you can get a room with housekeeping and a pool with two queen beds for about $30 less per night, we checked. There’s you have it folks !

Thanks for the feedback. So sorry for any trouble with the air conditioning units. We have gone through them, and replaced them as needed. We will go through the kitchen and make sure it is fully stocked up. Sometimes some items can "disappear" :). The wood for the firepit is generally not provided, but we do try to put some there when we can. We apologize if there was a misunderstanding with that. We appreciate all the suggestions, and we will continue to try to improve the experience for our Guests. Thank you!

Seahorse Cottages is a great little getaway place, very relaxing and casual, which is what you want at the beach. Think mountain cabin meets beach cottage. If you want high end comfort this is not for you, but if you want a laid back getaway at a bargain price this place fits the bill. Especially loved the location, walking distance to many good restaurants, with a top notch beach at your doorstep.

We live in Cape Coral, Florida...only about 2 hours south of treasure Island. We have been staying at Seahorse Cottages for our Memorial Day vacation for at least the past 7 years and also rent again in September for our Anniversary! We love it there and so does our daughter, my Mother and our little dog Onyx! Yes, it is rustic, but it is located directly on the beach and everything is walking distance. The cottage is always clean and it presents such a relaxing environment. We have NEVER had a bad time at the Seahorse Cottages and will continue to vacation there as long as it is still available!!! We LOVE Treasure Island!!!

The cottages are in a great location the beach is amazing. Great public beach with chair umbrella rental available. A big water slide is near by as well as a beachfront restaurant in walking distance. A grocery store right across the street is a plus as well. The cottage itself is bare bones, rooms are small the celling fan is so loud you can not use it. The air conditioners are very loud as well and aren't very cold either. The toilet will fall through the floor soon and the kitchen is hardly equipped.. But if your fine with bare bones this place will do just fine.
