Townsend Cabin #6 Mountain Star
5.0/5 stars
The hospitality was above and beyond. Really thank Dan and his wife. Great people. The cabin was excellent and if it wasn't for all the rain we might have enjoyed the outside a tad bit more. Saw snow on our way back home which rrally made the best ending to a great family get together. Already told friends about it and you never know one of them might rent a cabin in the future. I know I will thanks again

Cabin was clean and ready for our arrival. The cabin is tucked away nice from the road traffic heading into the valley. It's best to arrive during the day as the road in is a bit tricky. The beds were comfortable and the cabin is cozy. We had a bear visit earlier in the day before our arrival. Too bad we missed it.

We rented cabin #6 and had a great stay. We brought two small children with us (6 months and 13 months) and there was plenty of room for pack n plays in the bedrooms and not much baby proofing that needed to be done. We enjoyed coming back to a comfortable place after long days of hiking. The kitchen was equipped with enough stuff to make simple meals and the furniture was comfortable for relaxing on. We did use the hot tub and it was also nice to out in the trees. The cabin itself was a little dark in evening, the table did not have an overhead light in it, but we made due. The road up to it was a little steep but nothing our rental mini-van couldn't handle. Overall, it was a great price and a great stay. Clean linens and towels.

We loved our stay here. The cabin was large and decorated beautifully. The surroundings were quite beautiful. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was off of the beaten path but still very close to stores, restaurants and local attractions. The only issues at all (which were quite minor) was that 1. There was not adequate lighting in the living room/dining room. Even with us lighting all of the candles that are everywhere, we had to go into a different room if we needed to read anything. 2. The towels and washcloths were very stiff. I took one off the towel rack and set it on the sink and it stayed standing up. Overall though we were pleased with our stay.

We only stayed for two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was very comfortable and clean with all of the comforts of home. The hot tub was WONDERFUL after a day of seeing all of the sights around the mountains. Our only complaint was the lighting in the cabin. Some bulbs in the multi bulb fixtures were burned out which made it hard to see in th starway and dining room. Because of the heavy tree canopy, little ambiant light was available so opening all of the window shades didn't help much. Hopefully they will replace the old bulbs with nice bright LED bulbs. The staff was very frindlyand helpful and we will diffenately book another trip to this site!

We were looking for a relaxing, peaceful getaway where we could enjoy some quality family time. Summit 54 cabins exceeded our expectations. Everything was there to make us feel at home. The setting was amazing and the cabin was clean and welcoming. Proximity to local activities was perfect. Thank you for giving us the vacation that our family needed.

It was an awesome place to spend Christmas with my family. It was clean and inviting. The road to the cabin is not for the weak at heart, lots of curves and downward slopes, definitely not for a motorcycle. The view was great. The kitchen was small, but acceptable. My only complaint was that the towels smelled like they had been in the room with a smoker.

We rented this cabin with another couple for an anniversary trip. Everything was great! This cabin was quiet and at the end of the road, so no traffic passing through. The hot tub was nice as well as the porch. I would suggest more porch furniture, because there is only seating for 3 people. I would also suggest more lighting in the table area, as it was quite dark near the table. Reservations and check-in was super easy and we didn't have any trouble with our stay!

We loved Cabin #6 and will stay there again in the future. It was very clean, quiet, the beds were comfortable (once we got fresh linens, the original ones were soured) and the view was lovely. My only suggestions are that you put a DVD player in the living room and consider replacing the porch furniture. Blessings, Diann Mullins

Fairly clean cabin but the blinds were filthy. We could not park at cabin due to thick lose gravel; we were told that our vehicle could not handle it as even the maintenance trucks had difficulty.......so we had to carry luggage a ways! Very quiet Nice---not luxurious.

Thanks for staying at Mountain Star. Our cabin is great for folks looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has a great location between Pigeon Forge, Townsend and Gatlinburg. It is easily accessible, with the exception of what seems to be some difficult gravel. We are sorry about that and will notify our team to see if we can distribute that better and make it more easily accessible for all vehicles. There is parking in the drive that leads straight into the cabin itself. We will let our cleaners know to detail the blinds while cleaning as well. Our team looks forward to working with you again in the future.

Townsend Cabin #6 Mountain Star

We stayed in Mountain Star #6 in Townsend, TN on July 13-17, 2016. The cabin was visually appealing, clean and spacious. The area was quiet & peaceful. The hot tub was there but not used so I can't comment on that. The kitchen area could use another shelf, table or cabinet since there was almost no food prep area or food storage space. It was appropriately stocked with dishes, pots, toaster, coffee pot. There was an outdated microwave but it was functional. The cabin was advertised to have a sleeper sofa but there was none, I notified the contact persons who quickly returned my call and promptly brought out an extremely nice, self inflating, elevated air mattress, pillows & blankets. I haven't seen this level of customer service in years... I was truly impressed!! We certainly enjoyed the cabin & despite the minor hiccups I still give it 5 stars due to the customer service!
