Relax and reflect on days gone by in stylistic Midcentury Retreat just outside the center of the Old City of St. Augustine. Located in the historic Lincolnville district, this 1950 Frank Lloyd Wright style house is thoughtfully restored and tucked away on a quiet and vintage residential street. The large yard, beautiful trees and front porch invite you to come in and stay awhile. Beautifully finished paneling, vaulted ceilings and open floor plan flow through the house along with old fixture and furniture styles. Wide glass doors across the back of the house framed with red curtains look out onto a spacious deck, fire-pit patio and a green backdrop of trees. You will enjoy cooking up meals in the bright kitchen which looks out through French windows to the front porch and yard. Bedrooms are split and the one large, retro bathroom is shared. Several great eateries are located within a 5-10 minute walk including Preserved Restaurant, Blue Hen Cafe, Crave Food Truck and the Ice Factory, as well as attraction tours such as The Distillery, San Sebastian Winery and Peterbrook Chocolatiers. Walk to the center of the downtown walking district with museums and shops in 15 minutes!

A separate one-bedroom suite, "Sparrow's Nest," is available under a different listing and attached to the side of Midcentury Retreat. Inquire for more details.

Midcentury Retreat

We loved being walking distance to town, in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of space to spread out. The outdoor deck and fire pit was the icing on the cake.

The place is so spacious and super clean. This is probably the first rental where I didn't have to clean the floors upon arrival. I've even stayed in high end hotels where I have had to go buy swiffers. I really appreciate that aspect. We love the set up, beautiful rugs, comfy beds and sofa!!! The one thing I wasn't prepared for was that I had to go out and buy my own toliet paper and garbage bags. For $200 a night (with fees) I would think that would be supplied to us like any other rental. And I already am doing a load of laundry....the bath towels..... I really was looking forward to enjoying my vacation without doing a bunch of laundry. I like to leave all my worries at home. I will be back but now I know to bring extra towels and tp.

This house was everything I expected. I loved that it was so close to everything. Everything was very clean and the house itself was beautiful. Definitely will recommend this to anybody staying in St Augustine.

The house and property were lovely. Beautiful home. Lots of room and light and loved some of the original details of the home. Nice little front and back yard. Perfect for our dogs. Too hot in July for us to sit outside and enjoy the firepit, but I would have enjoyed that if it was cooler out. The home was on a quiet street in Lincolnville area. We could easily walk and ride our bikes to everything. It was the most perfect location and even better because we could have our fur babies. The welcome note with goodies was a pleasant surprise from David. We only encountered one issue, one afternoon upon returning to the home, the driveway was blocked by a car. Thankfully a nice neighbor told us that it could be a car from an employee of the restaurant Preserved (which was delicious and a two min walk away). We contacted the restaurant and the employee came and moved his car. I would def stay here again. I'm in love with this house, location and city.

Loved the cleanliness and space of the home! It felt like a home away from home and the hospitality from the property owner and manager both were out of this world!
