The retreat at Fernglen is at the very end of a private cul-de-sac. You will cross a private bridge into a secluded wooded oasis. There is a small pond with water features, a fire-pit, and picnic tables in the grass to enjoy as well. The driveway loop will lead you to the house with ample parking on the side for multiple vehicles.

The entire property is almost completely surrounded by trees, shrubs, and a stream that will run when it rains. The beach is just moments away and easily walk-able within 1-2 minutes. The home has three levels with a large deck on the second level with a smaller deck off the primary bedroom.

Ocean views can be seen through the trees on the top two levels. Each floor has a full bathroom. The bottom floor offers two private bedrooms with a full bed, and the other with two twin bunk beds. There is a futon available in the pool table room as well if needed. The second floor offers a newly renovated kitchen and open layout connected to dining and living area. The primary bedroom offers ample room with seating as well.

There are incredible views of the forested landscaping, small pond, and the ocean beyond. It is hard to beat waking up and sitting on the private deck enjoying some coffee while listening to the the ocean beyond. This home is great for families, pet friendly, down the road from Salishan golf course and has so many amenities it is truly unparalleled.

We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.

PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Although we are pet-friendly please note your pet must not be left unattended at the house without you present, even if in a crate/kennel. Failure to adhere to the house rules as it pertains to pets may result in cancellation of the booking with no refund. **

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1  Tenant agrees to leave the premises and its contents in the same condition, neat and tidy, as Tenant found the premises to be upon move-in, normal wear and tear expected. 
2  All dishes are to be washed and all garbage removed from the premises and placed in outside receptacles. 
3  No glitter or confetti is to be used or dispersed on the property. Failure to comply will result in extra cleaning fees of at least $300.00 at a minimum.
4  The maximum number of occupants shall not exceed the advertised number stated on the listing.
5  Furnishings are not to be removed from the premises for use outside or in other properties.
6  If Pets are allowed on Property a $100 per pet fee is required. Let us know if you will be bringing pets so we can send a $100 request per pet. Please pick up after your pets. If feces are left behind an extra charge of $50 applied clean up. If it is marked as "No pets" this policy must be observed and pets are not allowed on premises.
7  Smoking is not allowed in the unit. $500 fine if evidence of smoking is found in the unit.
8  Reservations are not made by or for a minor, defined as any person under the age of twenty-five (25).
9  Tenant and any guest of Tenant shall obey all laws of the state the rental vacation rental property resides in, as well as local laws, at all times while they are on the premises. Failure to abide by the laws of the state or the above rules may cause tenant to be asked to vacate the premises and forfeit all rents and security/damage deposits.
10  There shall be no noise that can be heard outside the home between the hours of 10pm - 7am. If noise is an issue, you will get a written warning text message to the number that booked the reservation and/or a phone call. If noise does not stop, you will be fined up to $300 or possibly evicted immediately.
11  Any items left that a guest leaves and wishes to be returned and shipped will incur a $30 fee plus shipping. 
12. Commercial use of the property, including filming, is prohibited unless approved with a signed location release form. Any unauthorized filming for commercial use will result in immediate eviction and possible legal action.

SLEEPING CAPACITY/DISTURBANCES
Tenant and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee and security deposit for any of the following: Occupancy exceeding the sleeping capacity of the listings advertised guests, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises.

Violations of our noise rules or maximum number of guests agreed to at the time of booking will result in possible fines or immediate eviction with all loss of all rents.  Depending on severity if there is a noise situation we may call and issue a warning or proceed with a $300 fine. If we cannot reach the guest that booked the property someone will show up to at a minimum issue a $300 fine and/or evict the entire group immediately. Any delay will result in us involving the authorities and trespassing every person on the property as well as the loss of all rents. Additional fines or damages may be assessed after removal. 

HOLD HARMLESS
iTrip or the Owner, does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither does owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity or plumbing, as well as due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control.
 
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The undersigned Tenant, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Owner from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, and causes of action by reason of any injury, loss of damage by whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover any reasonable attorneys fees and costs. Owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement upon their discretion at any time.

We loved our stay. The house was clean and comfortable in every sense. The kitchen was well stocked They even provided a good ground coffee provided and a nice bottle of wine, although we didn’t use it much, there are so many wonderful restaurants close by. Our favorite was the Side Door Cafe just a skip away from the house. We went there each night. If you wander further down the highway be sure to check out The Clearwater in Newport. Wonderful fresh food and exceptional service. The beds are comfortable and the view from the upper floor is lovely. The hot tub was ready to use but for some reason we didn’t. Idk… Plenty of towels and additional bedding if needed, and good laundry facilities. We loved coming in after a late dinner and watching a movie before tucking in for the night, with the window cracked so I could listen to the ocean. Make this trip. It’s a good stay.

Location, Location, Location. The best part of this rental is its location. Property is a large lot in a forest setting, including a small koi pond. It is an easy drive to Lincoln City, Newport, and Depoe Bay and only a short 3 minute/2 block walk to the beach. Kitchen is updated and well stocked. Bedrooms best for 3 couples with 4 kids. Kids enjoyed the swing-good for small children, but could fail with a larger child or adult (support is 2X6's nailed into a tree). The rest of the house looks like a Beach Rental house, which is fine for a short stay, but might not work for an extended stay.

Great property! Perfect for young families. Not suggested for anyone that has trouble with stairs. Enjoyed the 3 different levels with a full bath on each level. Wonderful location to beach, Salishan for golf & shopping, Side Door Cafe for fine food.

We enjoyed our stay so much at Fernglen. The house was beautiful and had something for everyone, the property was gorgeous. We will definitely be staying again. I also found Itrip Northwest to be extremely helpful and communicative. I always received a response to emails within 24 hours, but usually far less than that. We cannot wait to come back.

What a perfect setting for a stormy winter weekend at the Oregon Coast! This property is gorgeous- we were reminded of a tropical jungle as we gazed out from the living room. Plus, there is easy access (Down Easy Street) to the beach! The kids loved the wing with the pool table and kids rooms, and we adored the master on the 3rd floor- so cozy. Would stay again without hesitation.

Fernglen is nothing short of pure magic. All expectations were exceeded. The property is beautiful, secluded, and well furnished. The short walk to the beach (5ish minutes) is serene and once you're at the ocean the views are breathtaking. Corey communicated with me via text to ensure our every need was taken care of. I was there with three of my best friends for a quiet retreat and couldn't have asked for more. I highly recommend Fernglen.

We had a nice time at this house. The upstairs master suite is really breathtaking and the art around the house is a genuine pleasure. The two other bedrooms with big beds aren't nearly as fancy as the master suite, so good to make sure your fellow guests know one couple will be getting the gourmet room while the others have perfectly comfortable but much smaller simpler rooms. Bring your own sharp knives and cookware if you are a chef - the house has sufficient supplies for basics. Beautiful property and intuitively laid out bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. Nice decks to utilize as well. With one-acre surrounding it, the property felt very private, peaceful and quiet.

It is a great location and perfect for our family reunion. We all loved the decks on each level. The grassy play area was great for bocca and a nightly bonfire. TrueType was a minute too the beach. In our master bedroom we could hear the waves at night. Not giving it 5 stars because we ran out of toilet paper and there was no propane. No blender for drinks but we bought one and left it for the next visitor. Would definitely recommended this place.

Fernglen is a lovely getaway with highlights including a super short walk to the beach and a variety of great activities right on the property. Play pool, cook, watch movies, play lawn games, soak in the hot tub, watch the sunset and more. It was perfect for our big family and we especially appreciated the ability to have our dogs with us for the stay. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to stay. We had the best time the pool table and the spa were lovely the place is stocked and ready to live in. It would be nice if the outside shower worked. But we manage to keep the sand out as best we could...a wonderful spot to enjoy the Oregon beach!!

We had a wonderful stay at Fernglen. It was well stocked, clean, updated and didn't really lack anything we needed (except maybe Kleenex). The grounds were so cute and serene. The view from the master bedroom and the deck off the master was great. We took advantage of the well maintained hot tub and were fortunate one night to have a star filled sky to enjoy while we hung out in it. We will definitely stay here again next time we go to Lincoln City!
