Treasure Island
5/5 stars
We recently stayed at the Seahorse cottages in Treasure Island and had a fabulous time!! We could walk out our door and be on the beach! The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. The shared space outside had everything you need to enjoy hanging outside-chairs, tables, a picnic table, and grill. It was great to be able to shop across the street at Publix for food and prepare some meals at the cottage ( no oven but that was not a problem for us) . There were restaurants within walking distance ( we had breakfast while looking at the ocean at Sloppy Joe's) . We did venture out for a few adventures that I would highly recommend (Pier Dolphin Cruises,Zoo Tampa) and had dinner at some fabulous restaurants in St. Petersburg (Pier Teaki rooftop bar, 3 Birds Tavern, Tiki Docks Skyway ). We will definitely stay at the Seahorse Cottages again !!

A trip back in Time

Was everything I was looking for; had the feel of Old Florida before all the high rises but still had most of the modern comforts!

Excellent Beachfront Stay
5/5 stars
The stay in this cute little house was absolutely fantastic! The only thing that I would like to see next time would be either an oven or toaster oven. It made cooking a little difficult. Otherwise, the whole area was perfect! Also easy short walk to Publix (right across the street) and Walgreens (right now the road)! I would definitely recommend this house and the others on the property. We hope to stay again next year!

A treasure in Treasure Island
5/5 stars
My family used to stay in the Seahorse Cottages back in the 90s and early 2000s, and it was such a treat to stay there again with my own kids! I'm so glad they are still maintained and haven't been torn down to make way for a high rise. These are a blast from the past of Old Florida, and I hope they stay forever! We do wish that the sleeping capacity was higher...unfortunately, medium-sized families won't be able to stay in any of the cabins facing the sand. When we stayed in cabin #2 in the olden days, we fit our family of 8 people in the cabin (there used to be 2 double beds in the large bedroom, a pullout couch in the living room, and a double or queen bed in the corner bedroom). Now the sleeping capacity has been cut in half, as there is a king bed in the main room, only a twin in the corner room, and the couch is not a pullout. Anyone staying in this cabin should note that there is no oven or toaster oven, so you won't be able to bake anything! Plan your meals accordingly. Also, if you are light-sensitive you'll want to bring a sleep mask, as there isn't much light blocking in any of the rooms. Enjoy your stay!

Paradise at Parakeet!!
5/5 stars
The Parakeet Cottage was great! Amazing beach and fun times around the camp fire. The Gulf was the perfect temperature for swimming. The cottage was decorated so cute and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen met our needs for cooking and the home was very clean. The other people staying on the grounds were very friendly. The sunset can’t be beat. There was a drum circle one night and it was interesting. We enjoyed stepping right into the sand from the door. We also rented the “free” beach bikes and kayaks. We recommend going to eat at Floribbean in St. Pete. We plan to come back!

Loved it
5/5 stars
We all loved the cottage. We traveled with my husband, myself, 16, & 14 year old boys, my mother, & father in law. The cottage was right on the beach. It worked out great for our family because, if some wanted to stay on the beach while someone else wanted to go to the cabin & shower or take a nap or eat lunch they could do it. The grocery store was directly across the road. We enjoyed the fire pit every evening. We used the charcoal grill, & propane grill. We cooked in the cottage one evening as well. There was enough cookware for the meal. The only complaint is that the hideabed, pull out couch was uncomfortable for my 16 year old. I would still give it 5 starts & would stay again!!

Thank you and we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We have updated to a more comfortable sleep sofa. See new photos!

An amazing location! Perfect beach getaway!
5/5 stars
We just spent five days at the Seahorse Cottages on Treasure Island and cannot believe how wonderful our trip was. We were in cottage #2, which was the perfect size for our family of five! You absolutely cannot beat the location. The cottages are right off of the beach and the view was lovely! The cottages have a wide variety of beach items (chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, buckets, etc.) which made our time at the beach perfect. Our kids loved grabbing their beach items for the day and digging in the sand and making sand castles. The outdoor common area with chairs, grills, and ramada covers was perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or grilling up dinner each night. Two things I would like to make note of for future travelers, cottage #2 did not have a DVD player while we were there so the iTrip DVD rentals might not be useful if that is the cottage you are staying in. We didn't mind all that much but we were looking for it one night so we could watch a DVD we had purchased earlier that day. The second thing to note is that you should be prepared to purchase paper products, coffee filters, and trash bags for your stay at the cottage. They supplied a "starter" pack which included one roll of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels. For a family or five for five days we anticipated that we would need to buy some things (like extra TP, shampoo, soap, paper plates so our kids didn't break the dishes accidentally etc.) but I was surprised that there were no coffee filters or trash bags. We ended up doing a large run for supplies at the Publix across the street and used the bags from that shopping trip for our trash bags. We also left all of the remaining supplies for the next family since we didn't want to throw away perfectly good toilet paper and coffee filters. Over all we had a magical and fantastic trip! This cottage is a ideal if you want the perfect location on the beach. It is small and simple and was exactly what we were looking for. My kids (ages 6, 4, and 2) are already asking when we can go back and demanding that when we do, we stay at the Seahorse Cottages!

Fee Fo Review
4/5 stars
We love the place. My girls loved that we were right on the beach in a cottage! Well definitely be looking forward to coming back and staying in the same cottage. I didnt give this place a 5, only because the dishes were dirty upon arrival. Spoons/forks and dishes looked like they were washed however, had dried up junk in them. The strainer was left on the top shelf greasy and dirty. We had to wash them if and when we wanted to use them.

Beautiful getaway
5/5 stars
We spent a week at Seahorse for our daughters wedding. We had 2 cottages. My family was in Seahorse 2. The cottage is quaint, built about 80 years ago. But it has been maintained and has a rustic feel to it. We had 5 in our travel party and we all slept comfortably. The beds are great and the linens were top tier. We were provided with both bath and beach towels- not some small beach towel- but large fluffy ones. The kitchen has basic items such as dishes and coffee pot. The fridge kept all of our food fresh. The beach is right out of the door and you have access to Publix and a variety of restaurants and ice cream shops nearby. We loved our stay at Seahorse and look forward to returning soon. I did call the main # about a small need I had and they responded very quickly. There is no daily housekeeping, but we did utilize them for a linen change one day. It was not the norm, but she was super pleasant and very sweet. I would highly recommend Seahorse if you are looking for a laid back, quaint stay, on the beach. You cannot beat the location.

Perfect Vacation
5/5 stars
We stayed in Cottage 2 for 5 nights. It was absolutely perfect. We needed a break from work/life. The cottage provided just that. From the perfect location (beachfront, grocery store across the street) to the wonderful neighbors.... it was the best getaway for us. The cottages are older, yes. But they have everything you need. It was one of the best vacations we've had yet. We will definitely be back. The housekeeping crew was wonderful. Just couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks again for everything!

Peace, beautiful, wonderful!
5/5 stars
Loved our seahorse cottage #2. 2 bedrooms with a hideabed for more guests if needed. Comfortable beds. Rustic but quaint and perfect for beach life! Private outdoor patios and firepit for the circle of cottages. Everything we needed. Walked directly across the street to Publix, bought our food (and libations) and cooked all of our own meals. The beach is the prettiest around. Seashells abundant just to the North a few hundred yards. Walk to numerous beachfront cafes and bars. Gorgeous sunsets. We will definitely be back.
