First Floor at Waters Edge, spacious one bedroom with two full baths

If you enjoy the amenities of a modern condominium complex, but don't want to feel "high in the sky", here's the choice for you. This spacious Waters Edge one bedroom is on the first floor. The balcony gives you a great view, without being so high that you lose that beach vacation feeling. This one bedroom condo has the same size kitchen and living area as two and three bedroom units, along with two full bathrooms. With three queen size beds, this condo can accommodate a family vacation at one bedroom prices. Every vacation day begins and ends with the beauty of blue sky and golden sand and the soothing sound of ocean waves that you will enjoy from comfortable furnishings.

Waters Edge is a premium condo resort. There are large indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub, exercise facilities, a lounge, restaurant and convenience store, all on the premises. The elevator from the lobby provides excellent handicapped access. The solid concrete construction means you won't hear neighbors or anyone walking on the ceiling. When you're ready to feel the soft warm sand between your toes, the soft, wide Garden City beach is right out from the lobby.

The bedroom has a queen size bed, closet and dresser to provide ample storage space, and a private bathroom. Both sofas convert to queen size beds. The fully equipped kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave, toaster, small appliances, pots and pans. Dishes, glassware and tableware are on hand. Linens are provided, beds will be made, some soap, paper towels and trash bags will be on hand. You will not begin your vacation by making beds or running to the store to get toilet paper!

Garden City is perfect for a family vacation or romantic getaway, away from the traffic and crowds, but still a short drive to attractions and over 100 golf courses. The Garden City Beach pier, restaurants and shops are .7 of a mile south from Waters Edge. The Surfside Beach pier, restaurants, bars and shopping are a short drive (or a pleasant, longer walk) north. Just a few minutes south is the Murrell's Inlet Restaurant Row, "the Seafood Capital of South Carolina". Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. All the attractions, dining and shopping of Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand, and the Myrtle Beach downtown boardwalk are just a bit further north. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden. It's just a few minutes south.

This is the place to make beach vacation memories for just the two (or three or four) of you, is it not?

The person renting this property must be at least 25 years old, have a valid credit card, and be present for the entire rental.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and cozy. We did have some items stolen from the indoor pool area however. I told the front front desk. They couldn't have cared less. Other than that, it was nice.

Had a great time and the unit was well maintained and cleaned well. I did arrive early for check in around 2:30pm but keys and everything was ready which was much appreciated. But I was simply handed a envelope and told, parking pass and pool bracelets where included with keys. I had no instructions as to if I should run the dishwasher before I leave or if I had to leave all the dishes clean and out of the dishwasher, should I start a load of the towels or sheets? No intro letter from the management company just to say welcome and here is where you call for maintenance or if you have any issues. The lady who checked me in also at no time said enjoy your trip or do you have any questions. The same when I checked out, no did you have a great time or anything to report maintenance wise in the unit. Just the little touches were missed to put the customer service level above the rest. I work in property management so that may be why I noticed and was rather shocked no letter from the Management company was included or instructions on what to do at checkout. Plus if a leak occurred or incident which could damage the unit I would want to ensure it was reported immediately to the PM. The building did have the front desk area but since they are condos I am unsure as to how much they would help with a unit element problem.

The condo is beautiful and very clean. The view is spectacular and so close to the water you can hear the waves crashing inside the condo with the doors shut. If you are serious about cooking in I would strongly suggest you bring your favorite knives but other than that we found the kitchen to be well equipped. Even though most of the week we were there it was cold and cloudy we were quite comfortable in the condo and had a wonderful vacation.

This condo has an amazing view and sits RIGHT on the white sand beach. It overlooks the pool , palm trees and crashing waves. The condo building itself is very humble with concrete walls and outdated furnishings, but still comfortable. The surprisingly large kitchen had cabinets and appliances that were newer and it was stocked well with everything needed for cooking. The complex has a small bar/grill/gift shop on premise. Overall, considering the low rental price, I would say that unit 109 is a VERY GOOD VALUE. So if it is value you are seeking, this is the ONE.

The condo is nicely decorated. However, There was no dish soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, I called twice and didn't get a response. The vacuum cleaner is horrible, as is the dishwasher. Dishes in the cupboard still had food on them, pan was crusty. There were also dishes in the dishwasher to be unloaded. Sorry. I am on vacation! What disgusted me the most and it has nothing to do with 109, is that they allowed a dog in the pool area. I had told the owner of the dog that dogs weren't allowed, she said it's a service dog. Right. Mini poodle, not trained. The owners of the dog actually called the cops on me because I told them the dog shouldn't be there. I was also called a damn Yankee. The dog would sit on the pool chairs, walk around without the leash being held and left on the pool deck while the owner was in the pool. The rules clearly state no pets allowed. Had I known all you had to do was tell someone it was a service dog, I would have brought my Lab. I asked the security guy, Justus, about it and several people brought to his attention a young, 20 something man yelling from the balcony. Justus was too busy talking to a woman to pay attention to us. After the cops were called, Justus came to the condo and told me I should have talked to him first. When I told him I did, he just said, 'Yeah, I know'. So, if all you want is cute decor, rent 109. But if you want clean dishes, vacuum cleaner, dish soap, NO DOGS, go elsewhere. Not worth the money. I was horribly disappointed.

We're glad to hear that the reviewer found this unit nicely decorated. Owner spent a great deal of money on it in 2014. We do not provide soaps or detergents beyond the sample size packets in the basket, this is just a starter supply. It's discouraging when someone feels the need to berate a fine property over circumstances entirely unrelated and beyond the control of us or the owner. The reviewer obviously has a problem with dogs. Pets are not permitted at Waters Edge. However, under the Americans with Disabilities Act, a service dog is not a pet. Service dogs cannot be denied or restricted from access to any business premises. This includes every type of restaurant or food service business, and every lodging premises. A service dog cannot be restricted from the pool, or any other area of Waters Edge.

From the moment we got there it was GREAT!!!. The condo was nice, clean and had everything we could need, the property was well maintained , nice pool. The little bar&grill downstairs had some great food which was nice for the days or nights when we didn't feel like leaving for dinner or cooking.I guess the only thing I could say is our door lock got stuck but the property management had someone there within an hour to take care of it. Kids loved it, we loved it and we will be going back.

The condo unit 109 was very nicely decorated the owners take pride. Waters Edge is very old and dated, they do keep the pool deck clean hosing down everyday. The management sucks!!. The unit is located in the garage level so all the bright lights shine in through the bed room curtains. We put up some aluminum foil to block out the light. Management just about busted down our door like under cover agents from the DEA, accusing us of growing pot in the room. REALLY!! growing pot in the room on a 6 day vacation. This pretty much set the tone for the environment of the class of people staying here. one reason we picked the place was non-smoking. Ha what a joke, wright on the ocean front and we couldn't leave our patio door open for a nice ocean breeze half the time for all the cancer causing smokers, and management over looks it. Another thing is Fire Works are not allowed by management and it is stated in their "RULES" and the county ordnance. 4 nights we were awaken from a what could have been a restful nights sleep with drunken load mouth disrespectful low class shooting off fire works. Again management over looks. If you are looking for a restful place to stay and enjoy the beach don't stay here!!! YOU JUST MIGHT BE A RED NECK IF YOU STAY AT THE WATERS EDGE IN GARDEN CITY S.C.

We're glad to hear that you found unit 109 nicely decorated. The owner has spent a great deal on it recently. We are not connected to the building management. Sorry to hear you don't approve of them, even though they keep the pool deck clean. Waters Edge is 30 years old. The spacious units all provide an unobstructed oceanfront view. The units we manage all have well equipped kitchens and comfortable furnishings. They're a great value for families to enjoy the beach.
