Thank you very much for your review, we appreciate it and have shared with our team. We look forward to your next stay with us.
Thank you for your review, we appreciate it. We received a call from our 24 hour answering service on Monday, our maintenance manager called and spoke to the guests. There has been an inordinate amount of rain in the Central Florida area which is causing some issues with ants. We said we would send pest control to treat the area, which was done. The guest that our maintenance manager spoke with was fine with that. We did not receive a report of a wifi issue during conversation or to our answering service. Thank you again and we hope you stay with us again in the future.
We would like to thank you for being our guests, we also appreciate your comments and feedback. As the representative that spoke with this guest throughout the stay, I would like to share the following details based on the call logs from the 24 hour service, my telephone logs and the national weather bureau facts for the dates of Nov. 17 - 20, 2016. The initial answering service call was received at 7:05 p.m. on the night of arrival, Nov., 17. That call was that there was no hot water in the home. I called the guest back less than 15 minutes later. During our conversation, I explained that some homes have a reset or vacation mode on the water heater and if they could press that button, it should resolve the water heater issues. That was resolved by said action. On Nov. 18, a call was received at 3:43 p.m. from service that the thermostat was not working in the home. I reached out to the guest who explained that it appeared the thermostat was broken/stuck or something because it would not allow the temperature to be changed. This is a new home so we had to contact the a/c warranty vendor who said they would send a technician out but it could be up to 6 hours before that could happen. I relayed this information to the guests. After a little bit, the a/c vendor called back to ask if they could call the guests directly and walk them through resetting the thermostat if that was the problem. That is what transpired and the a/c vendor contacted me back to let me know the system was working for the guests. During that same call on Nov. 18, it was mentioned the hot tub was not working. The hot tub/spa works off the pool heating system and pool heating had to be paid for. Once I confirmed this, a pool technician went out at the next available date, which was the morning of the 19th, to check the equipment for the proper settings. It was confirmed the pool heating system was on and set at 88 degrees. The pool heating system was running at the time of the visit by the technician. In the rental agreement, there is a significant amount of detail on how the pool heaters work or do not work during certain times of the year. Unfortunately, if the weather in the evening drops below 55 to 65 degrees at night, the pool heating will not work to the optimum temperature that guests would like to enjoy. The literature in the homes also explains how the pool heaters work throughout various times of the year. On the night of the 17th, the overnight temperature was 54 degrees; on the night of the 18th, the overnight temperature was 58 degrees and on the night of the 19th, the overnight temperature was 59 degrees. These cooler temperatures will pull the heat out of the pool very quickly, making it feel like during the day the heater is not working when it is. There was nothing wrong with the pool heater or associated equipment. The pool heating did not get to where the guest desired simply because of the outdoor air, which we cannot control. The guest mentioned above that the spa was 'lukewarm at best'. This is an indicator that the pool heater was operating because there was some warmth to the water. We do apologize that we know nothing of the thermostat locking up again as we would have called the warranty vendor again to come to the home. Having been the person that spoke with the guests multiple times throughout the stay, I am very aware of what transpired, the calls that were made and attempts to rectify each situation presented. I do have to disagree with the statement our staff does not care, this is incorrect. Every pool heater has a timer that is set to turn on at 7am and off at 11pm. Pools are not heated overnight since they are not in use and to help conserve energy and owner electric bills. The heaters are heat pumps which pull heat from ambient air, when temperatures drop into the 50s and below, the available heat in the air is less. Water will warm as temperatures rise, this is clearly explained in the rental agreement. There was nothing wrong with the pool heater or associated equipment. We will be happy to provide the guest with a $90.00 refund for the pool heating. However, referring back to the rental agreement, it does say no pool heat refunds are issued because of circumstances out of our control, such as mother nature. We would not jeopardize our reputation over a $90.00 refund. We appreciate the opportunity to share the additional information regarding this situation. And we appreciate all guests that visit our home owner's homes. Thank you.
