Pros—I loved the property, the patio and pool area were where we spent most of our time. Very close to Publix/Target and Walgreens in case you need anything. The rooms were all set up with essentials and very nice pillows. The air conditioning worked well. There are noodles for the pool and the kitchen utensils were well stocked. We cooked a lot and didn’t have too much trouble when it came to kitchenware. I found SWF to be very responsive and helpful when I reached out, thst I appreciated very much. Cons— When I arrived I brought wipes with me to sanitize and when I wiped the kitchen table it was dirty, as if it hadn’t been wiped down in weeks. Had I not been paying such a large cleaning fee ($525.00) I wouldn’t have made a big deal. The countertops in all the other areas were clean, so perhaps it was an oversight. But there are multiple ways to get a fee. If you don’t clean the grill, there’s a fee, if you don’t empty the trash and place bins at the end of the driveway, there’s a fee. You’re required to wash dishes as well. With all of those requirements, charging $525 cleaning fee makes no sense. This was my first time renting a home through Airbnb so in looking at others, the cleaning fees ranged from $0 to under $200. I rented my Labor Day stay which has a $50 cleaning fee for a two story home for more time and less money. I work in healthcare so I would sanitize once I go anywhere, and wouldn’t depend on cleaning I did not see myself so for me, the cleaning fee was excessive. Overall, I loved my stay and the property. I’d just say to consider other options first to ensure this was the best price.

Natalie, thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review of your stay! We are happy that you and your group had a good trip and that you enjoyed so many of the wonderful things this home has to offer! To address some of your concerns - the actual cleaning fee that our cleaners charge for this property is $205. Unfortunately, Airbnb does not permit us to list that number individually. They bundle it with booking fees, our damage waiver, the Covid 19 disinfecting fogging, making the actual cleaning fee to appear huge. We hate it, but they refuse to unbundle it. Regarding the table, there is no excuse for that and it should have been cleaned. Had we known while you were there, we would have immediately sent our cleaning team out to make it right. We have since reached out to the cleaners and reiterated that this is far below our standards. As to the additional fees to clean the grill and take out the trash -unfortunately our years in business have taught us that sadly, many guests refuse to exercise courtesy toward the owner's home and incoming guest. We wish we could just ask for those thing to be done and guests would do it, but many times they don't. If the grill is cleaned and trash put out, all is good. I'm sorry if the request offended you, but we have an obligation to our property owners to keep their homes in pristine condition, as well as we then have to pay maintenance to take care of those things before the next guest. This is not a revenue stream but rather a pass through expense. I hope these explanations help. We thank you for staying in our property and treating it well!
