Enjoy this island home on a large one acre lot, centrally located on tranquil Sullivan’s Island. The screened porch wraps around the home, beckoning you into the hammock or onto a stuffed chair. The huge yard will occupy the kids beginning right after breakfast. Fido can let himself off the deck through his doggy door, down his own stairs to the fenced in dog run, and back when he’s ready.

Bedroom 1 offers a queen bed with a bath right across the hall from the door. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a twin bed, with a bath again just across the hall from the door. Upstairs, bedroom 3 has 3 twin beds.

A short hike will get you to several great eateries in town, or put you on one of the country’s best beaches. You soon become one of the locals; there are no hotels, motels, or B&Bs on Sullivan’s Island. Use the available beach bikes or beach carts to haul your things to the beach.

Downtown Charleston is just 15 minutes away, with nationally ranked chefs, historic tours by buggy or on foot, the Southeast's finest aquarium, great shopping, a French Quarter you will fall in love with, and so much more. Family Circle Cup Tennis Tournament early April, just 11 miles away.

History buffs will enjoy touring Fort Moultrie, now part of the National Park Service. Originally built of Palmetto logs that British cannonballs were unable to penetrate (botanically a grass, not a tree), the fort played an important role in bombarding Fort Sumpter to begin the American Civil War. Fort Moultrie continued as a part of the U.S. defense system to protect Charleston right through WWII.

This property is in a family trust for several adult siblings who grew up on this very property. There is a small cottage also on the 1 acre lot occupied by one of the adult siblings.
